REFLECTION
Again, we didn’t attend the Sunday service a while ago, the reason that my father is still
weak, that I hope he will regain his strength as soon as possible. And it doesn’t mean that I
should relax and be happy to have more time for myself, but this day I should bring honor to God
for His unending love and blessings that He gave for me and for my family for the past week.
So the message for this day is still on the theme entitled, “Simple, Practical changes with
Real Results.” It focuses more on our daily actions or activities in which whom are we serving it
for. Sometimes we forgot and intend on doing things on our own ways or plans for our own good
and for other people to be pleased. But we never knew that it could led us to a miserable and
dreadful life.
Number 1 key point for us not to have a miserable or dreadful life is to make up our
minds. It’s because dread means, expecting to have an unpleasant experience, it is the opposite of
hope. We should work and do everything that we do so far unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24).
Also in Psalms 23:4, let ourselves get away from it and stop being dreadful.
Number 2 is to try to find something good in everything. Just like a while ago, we didn’t
attend the church service, but I’m very thankful that God gave me another chance to live.
Because in the Bible study, it said that with negative and bad attitude it brings us to a bad
situation. Let us put more hope in God.
Lastly, try something new and learn from it. If we stop learning and growing, we’re
breathing but not truly alive. Learning can actually add a little exciting element to our life every
day. Having problems? Let us be careful that our problems doesn’t make us weak and wimpy.
But let God use them to change us.
2. Our works can be our prayer if we dedicate it to God. Did you help the house hold
chores in the past week? What were the chores you regularly do your family? How
did you feel about doing the work? Where in you daily routine can you become
more aware of God’s glory?
As I have said in my previous assignment, I do my household chores daily before
doing my things such as school requirements. But to be more specific, I fixed my bed
after waking up, fixed my family clothes and mine as well, check on my father and gave
him his medicines, and water my mother’s plants even though she didn’t ask me to,
because she doesn’t have time for it, so I take good care of it.
Same as I felt during the past week, felt blessed and good about it. Even though
I’m the second child of the family, I made myself as a role model for my siblings to
follow, although they are a year older and younger than me. I was aware of God’s glory
when He taught me to be responsible, caring, and hardworking sister and daughter for
the family.
