Simple present tanse
Do you know a descriptive text usually use simple present tense?
Formula : S + V1 ( es/s ) or S + be ( am/is/are )
Examples
- She reads a novel.
- My brother eats ice cream.
If we want to make a negative from of simple present, you can use the following
formula : S + to be ( am/is/are ) + not or S + ( do/does ) + not + V1
Examples
- She doesn’t read a novel.
- He isn’t a diligent student.
You also can make an interrogative form of simple present by using the following
formula : Be ( am/is/are ) + S or Do/Does + S + V1
Examples
- Does she read a novel?
- Is he a diligent student?
language feature of a descriptive text
It is the main part of a text after the generic structure. It is about how the
information within a written text is organized. This part of text helps
students to understand that a text might present a main idea and details.
Adjective
The using adjective is usually to clarify noun on a text. Clarification
adjectives are commonly used for describing clarification. Each word can
often be found in front of the noun clarification in the same sentence:
additional, conceptual, final, further, greater, historical, important, little,
more, such.
For example: sari writes my additional phone number on her notebook.
