ASSESSMENT CHANGES for the 2021 ACADEMIC YEAR: MNO3704

Due to the ministerial request to extend the 2021 registration dates, Unisa had to amend both
the semester dates and the assessment arrangements for the 2021 academic year.

During 2021 we will have only one semester and only one tuition and assessment period.

The purpose of this tutorial letter is to inform you of the new assessment requirements for the
module MNO3704, Environmental Management, for students registered during 2021 for the
one semester period.

1.1 Assignment due dates

These modules consist of a number of online assessment activities. The amended due dates for
these assessments are outlined in the tables below.

The amended assignment due dates are as follows:

You need a final mark of 50% in order to pass this module.

Please note that feedback on an assignment will be given under Discussions, only after the due
date of all assessments – we will not supply any answers to the assignment questions before
that date.

1.2 The assignments

These modules consist of a number of online assessment activities, all of which contribute
towards your final mark for the module. All assignments must be completed and submitted
electronically via myUnisa.

1.3 Other assessments

The only assessment methods used in these modules are the online assignments.

1.4 The examination

Assessment in this module is continuous. This means that you will need to complete the online
activities and submit the compulsory assignments on the due date as outlined in paragraph 1.1,
all of which will contribute to your final mark for this module. You need a final mark of 50% in
order to pass this module.

For all other information regarding the module MNO3704, Environmental Management, you
should still refer to Tutorial Letter 101/0/2021.
