HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST?

I.
There`s a line that is drawn by rejecting our Lord,

Where the call of His Spirit is lost,

And you hurry along with pleasure-mad throng-

Have you counted, have you counted the cost?

Chorus:

Have you counted the cost, if your soul should be lost,

Tho` you gain the whole world for your own?

Even now it may be that the line you have crossed,

Have you counted, have you counted the cost?

II.
You may barter your hope of eternity morn,
For a moment of Spirit lost,
For the glitter of sin and the things it will win-
Have you counted, have you counted the cost?

III.
While the door of His mercy is open to you,
Ere the depth of His love you exhaust,
Won`t you come and be healed. won`t you whisper, I yield-
I have counted, I have counted.
I AM PRAYING FOR YOU

I.
I have the Savior, He`s pleading in glory,

A dear, loving Savior, tho` earth-friends be few;

And now He is watching in tenderness oe`r me,

But oh, that my Savior were your Savior, too.

Chorus:

For you I am praying, For you I am praying,

For you I am praying. I`m praying for you.

II.
I have a Father; to me He has given
A hope for eternity, blessed and true;
And soon He will call me to meet Him in heaven,
But oh, that He`d let me bring you with me, too!

III.
I have a robe, `tis resplendent in whiteness,
A waiting in glory my wondering view;
Oh, when I receive it all shining in brightness,
Dear friend, could I see you receiving one, too!

IV.
When Jesus has found you, tell others the story,
That my loving Savior is your Savior, too;
Then pray that your Savior will bring them to glory,
And prayer will be answered-`twas answered for you!
HE IS COMING AGAIN

I.
Lift up your heads, Pilgrims a weary,

See day`s approach Now crimson the sky;

Night shadows flee, And your Beloved,

Awaited with longing, At last draweth nigh.

Chorus:

He is coming again, He is coming again,

The very same Jesus, Rejected of men;

He is coming again, He is coming again,

With pow`r and great glory, He is coming again!

II.
Dark was night, Sin warred against us;
Heavy the load Of sorrow we bore;
But now we see Signs of His coming;
Our hearts glow within us, Joy `s cup runneth o`er!
III.
O blessed hope! O blissful promise!
Filling our hearts With rapture divine;
O day of days! Hail Thy appearing!
Thy transcendent glory Forever shall shine.
IV.
Even so, come, Precious Lord Jesus;
Creation waits Redemption to see;
Caught up in clouds, Soon we shall meet Thee;
O blessed assurance, Forever with Thee!
HERE AM I
I.
Jesus, Master, hast Thous messages to send?

Here am I,Hear am I! Waiting , list`ning at Thy feet I lowly bend,

Here am I - O do not pass me by!

Chorus:

Ready for Thy service, Master, here am I!

Hush my heart to hear Thee calling from on high.

Choose Thou for me, let me still reply- O Master, here am I!

II.

Saviour, is there not some lowly task to do?

O send me, O send me Gird me now for service,
Make me strong and true, Send me on some errand, Lord, for Thee

III.
Dost Thou need a hand to bear a shining light?
Use my hand, Use my hand! Dost Thou need a patient watcher in the night?
Let me serve Thee, Lord, at Thy command.

IV. Working, waithing, whatsoe`er Thy holy will, Here am I,

Here am I! Master, let me Thy desire alone fulfill,
Keep me to Thy heart for ever nigh.
I SHALL SEE THE KING
I.

I shall see the King, Where the angels sing,

I shall see the King some day, In the better land,

On the golden strand, And with Him shall ever stay.

Chorus:

In His glory, I shall see the King,

And forever endless praises sing;

`Twas on Calvary Jesus died for me;

I shall see the King some day.

II.
In the land of song, In the glory throng,
Where there never comes a night, With my Lord once slain
I shall ever reign In the glory land of light.

III.
I shall see the King, All my tributes bring,
And shall look upon His face; Then my song shall be
How He ransomed me And has kept me by His grace.
WHAT A WONDERFUL SAVIOR!

I.

Christ has for sin atonement made, What a wonderful Savior!

We are redeemed, the price is paid! What a wonderful Savior!

Chorus:

What a wonderful Savior is Jesus, my Jesus!

What a wonderful Savior is Jesus, my Lord!

II.

I praise Him for the cleansing blood, What a wonderful Savior!

That reconciled my soul to God; What a wonderful Savior!

III.
He cleansed my heart from all its sin, What a wonderful Savior!
And now He reigns and rules therein; What a wonderful Savior!

IV.
He gives me overcoming pow'r What a wonderful Savior!
And triumph in each trying hour What a wonderful Savior!

V.
To Him I`ve given all my heart, What a wonderful Savior!
The world shall never share apart; What a wonderful Savior!
LIVING FOR JESUS
I.
Living for Jesus, a life that is true,

Striving to please Him in all that I do;

Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free,

This is the pathway of blessing for me.

Chorus:

O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee,

For Thou, in Thy atonement, didst give Thyself for me;

I own no other Master, my heart shall be Thy throne;

My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ, for Thee alone.

II.
Living for Jesus Who died in my place,
Bearing on Calv’ry my sin and disgrace;
Such love constrains me to answer His call,
Follow His leading and give Him my all.
III.
Living for Jesus, wherever I am,
Doing each duty in His holy Name;
Willing to suffer affliction and loss,
Deeming each trial a part of my cross.
IV.
Living for Jesus through earth’s little while,
My dearest treasure, the light of His smile;
Seeking the lost ones He died to redeem,
Bringing the weary to find rest in Him.
MY SAVIOR FIRST OF ALL

I.
When my lifework is ended, and I cross the swelling tide,

When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;

I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,

And His smile will be the first to welcome me.

Chorus:
I shall know Him, I shall know Him, And redeemed by His side I shall stand,

I shall know Him, I shall know Him, By the print of the nails in His hand.

II.
Oh, the soul-thrilling rapture when I view His blessed face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy, love and grace,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.

III.
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

IV.
Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
VERILY, VERILY
I.

Oh, what a Saviour that He died for me!

From condemnation He hath made me free;

"He that believeth on the Son," said He,

"Hath everlasting life."

Chorus:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you; Verily, verily," message ever new!

"He that believeth on the Son," 'tis true! "Hath everlasting life!

II.
All my iniquities on Him were laid,
All my indebtedness by Him was paid;
All who believe on Him, the Lord hath said,
"Hath everlasting life."

III.
Though poor and needy, I can trust my Lord;
Though weak and sinful, I believe His Word;
O glad message! Ev'ry child of God
"Hath everlasting life."

IV.
Though all unworthy, yet I will not doubt;
For him that cometh He will not cast out;
"He that believeth," oh, the good news shout!
"Hath everlasting life."
SINGING GLORY!
I.
I’ve something in my heart that Jesus gave to me,

It makes me feel like singing glory all the day;

He found my captive soul and gave me liberty,

And now I feel like singing glory!

Chorus:

He makes the path grow brighter ev’ry passing day;

He makes the burden lighter all along the way;

His Word is my delight, His will I now obey,

And all the time I’m singing glory!

II.
My Savior loosed my tongue that I might speak His praise;
Since then I have been singing glory all the day;
I love to tell the lost of Jesus and His ways,
And oh, it keeps me singing glory!
III.
My Savior took my feet from out the miry clay;
Since then I have been singing glory all the day;
He placed them on the Rock that shall not pass away—
I cannot keep from singing glory!
IV.
O weary heart and sad, O heavy-laden soul,
If you would feel like singing glory all the day;
Just let the Savior in, and let Him take control;
Then you will feel like singing glory!
I WOULD BE TRUE
I.

I would be true, for there are those who trust me;

I would be pure, for there are those who care;

I would be strong, for there is much to suffer;

I would be brave, for there is much to dare,

I would be brave, for there is much to dare.

II.

I would be friend of all, the foe, the friendless;

I would be giving, and forget the gift;
I would be humble, for I know my weakness;
I would look up, and laugh and love and lift,
I would look up, and laugh and love and lift.

III.

I would be prayerful thru each busy moment;

I would be constantly in touch with God;
I would be tuned to hear His slightest whisper;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod.
WHY NOT KNOW?
I.
While we pray and while we plead,

While you see your soul’s deep need,

While our Father calls you home,

Will you not, my brother, come?

Refrain:

Why not now? Why not now?

Why not come to Jesus now?

Why not now? Why not now?

Why not come to Jesus now?

II.
You have wandered far away;
Do not risk another day;
Do not turn from God your face,
But today accept His grace.
III.
In the world you’ve failed to find
Aught of peace for troubled mind;
Come to Christ, on Him believe,
Peace and joy you shall receive.
IV.
Come to Christ, confession make;
Come to Christ, and pardon take;
Trust in Him from day to day,
He will keep you all the way.
JESUS IS CALLING
I.
Jesus is tenderly calling thee home-

Calling today, calling today;

Why from the sunshine of love wilt thou roam

Farther and farther away?

Refrain:

Calling today, Calling today,

Jesus is calling, Is tenderly calling today.

II.
Jesus is calling the weary to rest-
Calling today, calling today;
Bring Him thy burden and thou shalt be blest-
He will not turn thee away.
III.
Jesus is waiting; O come to Him now-
Waiting today, waiting today;
Come with thy sins, at His feet lowly bow-
Come, and no longer delay.
IV.
Jesus is pleading; O list to His voice-
Hear Him today, hear Him today;
They who believe on His name shall rejoice-
Quickly arise and away.
MEET ME THERE

I.
On the happy, golden shore, Where the faithful part no more,

When the storms of life are o'er, Meet me there,

Where the night dissolves away Into pure and perfect day,

I am going home to stay, Meet me there.

Chorus:

Meet me there, Meet me there,

Where the tree of life is blooming, Meet me there,

When the storms of life are o’er, On the happy, golden shore,

Where the faithful part no more, Meet me there.

II.
Here our fondest hopes are vain, Dearest links are rent in twain,
But in heav’n no throb of pain, Meet me there,
By the river sparkling bright, In the city of delight,
Where our faith is lost in sight, Meet me there.

III.
Where the harps of angels ring, And the blest forever sing,
In the palace of the King, Meet me there,
Where in sweet communion blend Heart with heart, and friend with friend,
In a world that ne’er shall end, Meet me there.
MORE LIKE THE MASTER

I.

More like the Master I would ever be,

More of His meekness, more humility;

More zeal to labor, more courage to be true,

More consecration for work He bids me do.

Chorus:

Take Thou my heart, I would be Thine alone;

Take Thou my heart and make it all Thine own.

Purge me from sin, O Lord, I now implore,

Wash me and keep me Thine forevermore.

II.
More like the Master is my daily prayer;
More strength to carry crosses I must bear;
More earnest effort to bring His kingdom in,
More of His Spirit, the wanderer to win.

III.
More like the Master I would live and grow;
More of His love to others I would show;
More self-denial, like His in Galilee,
More like the Master I long to ever be.
MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY

I.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;

he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;

he hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword;

his truth is marching on.

Chorus:

Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

II.
I have seen him in the watchfires of a hundred circling camps,
they have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read his righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps;
his day is marching on.
III.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
he is sifting out the hearts of all before his judgment seat.
O be swift, my soul, to answer him; be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
IV.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
with a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me;
as he died to make us holy, let us die to make all free,
while God is marching on.
MOMENT BY MOMENT

I.

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;

Living with Jesus, a new life divine;

Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,

Moment by moment, O Lord, I am thine.

Chorus:

Moment by moment I’m kept in his love;

Moment by moment I’ve life from above;

Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;

Moment by moment, O Lord, I am thine.

II.
Never a trial that he is not there,
Never a burden that he doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that he doth not share,
Moment by moment, I’m under his care.

III.
Never a weakness that he doth not feel,
Never a sickness that he cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus, my Savior, abides with me still.
JOY UNSPEAKABLE
I.
I have found His grace is all complete;

He supplieth every need.

While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet,

I am free, yes, free indeed.

Chorus:

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,

Full of glory, full of glory.

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory;

O the half has never yet been told!

II.
I have found the pleasure I once craved;
It is joy and peace within.
What a wondrous blessing! I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.
III.
I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace.
O the Savior’s presence is so near;
I can see His smiling face.
IV.
I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll!
It is like a great o’erflowing well,
Springing up within my soul.
TO THE WORK
I.
To the work! to the work! we are servants of God,

Let us follow the path that our Master has trod;

With the balm of His counsel our strength to renew,

Let us do with our might what our hands find to do.

Chorus:

Toiling on, toiling on,

Toiling on, toiling on;

Let us hope, let us watch,

And labor till the Master comes.

II.
To the work! to the work! let the hungry be fed;
Tothe fountain of life let the weary be led;
In the cross and its banner our glory shall be,
While we herald the tidings, "Salvation is free!"
III.
To the work! to the work! there is labor for all;
For the kingdom of darkness and error shall fall;
And the name of Jehovah exalted shall be,
In the loud-swelling chorus, "Salvation is free!"
IV.
To the work! to the work! in the strength of the Lord,
And a robe and a crown shall our labor reward;
When the home of the faithful our dwelling shall be,
And we shout with the ransomed, "Salvation is free!"
TILL THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS
I.

I'll tell to all that God is love;

For the world has never known

The great compassion of His heart

For the wayward and the lone.

Chorus:

Till the whole world knows,

Till the whole world knows,

I will shout and sing of Christ my King,

Till the whole world knows.

II.
I'll tell of mercy's boundless tide,
Like the waters of the sea,
That covers every sin of man;
'Tis salvation full and free.
III.
I'll tell of grace that keeps the soul,
Of abiding peace within,
Of faith that overcomes the world,
With its tumult and its din.
IV.
Eternal glory is the goal
That awaits the sons of light;
Eternal darkness, black as death,
For the children of the night.
THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY

I.

They call me old-fashioned because I believe

That the Bible is God’s holy Word,

That Jesus, who lived among men long ago,

Is divine, and the Christ of God.

Chorus:

My sin was old-fashioned, My guilt was old-fashioned,

God’s love was old-fashioned, I know;

And the way I was saved was the old-fashioned way,

Thro' the blood that makes whiter than snow.

II.
Old-fashioned, because I believe and accept
Only what has been spoken from heav’n;
Old-fashioned because at the cross I was saved,
At the cross had my sins forgiv’n.
III.
Old-fashioned, because I am bound to do right,
To walk in the straight narrow way;
Because I have given my whole life to God,
Old-fashioned, because I pray.
IV.
Old-fashioned, because I am looking above
To Jesus, my glorified Lord;
Because I believe He is coming again,
Fulfilling His holy Word.
THE UNCLOUDED DAY
I.
O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies,

O they tell me of a home far away;

O they tell me of a home where no storm-clouds rise,

O they tell me of an unclouded day

Chorus:

O the land of cloudless day, O the land of an unclouded day;

O they tell me of a home where no storm-clouds rise,

O they tell me of an unclouded day.

II.
O they tell me of a home where my friends have gone,
O they tell me of that land far away,
Where the tree of life in eternal bloom
Sheds its fragrance thro` the unclouded day.
III.
O they tell me of a King in His beauty there,
And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold
Where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow,
In the city that is made of gold.
IV.
O they tell me that He smiles on His children there,
And His smile drives their sorrows all away;
And they tell me that no tears ever come again,
In that lovely land of unclouded day.
ONCE FOR ALL

I.
Free from the law, O happy condition,

Jesus hath bled, and there is remission;

Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall,

Grace hath redeemed us once for all.

Chorus:

Once for all, O sinner, receive it,

Once for all, O brother believe it;

Cling to the Cross, the burden will fall,

Christ hath redeemed us once for all.

II.
Now are we free there`s no condemnation,
Jesus provides a perfect salvation;
“Come unto me”O hear His sweet call,
Come, and saves us once for all.

III.
“Children of God,” O glorious calling,
Surely His grace will keep us from falling;
Passing from death to life at His call
Blessed salvation once for all.
NOTHING BETWEEN
I.

Nothing between my soul and Savior,

Naught of this world`s delusive dream;

I have renounced all sinful pleasure,

Jesus is mine; there`s nothing between.

Chorus:

Nothing between my soul and the Savior,

So that His blessed face may be seen;

Nothing preventing the least if His favor,

Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.

II.
Nothing between, like worldly pleasure,
Habits of life though harmless they seem,
Must not my heart from Him e`er sever,
He is my all; there`s nothing between.
III.
Nothing between, like pride or station,
Self of friends shall not intervene;
Tho` it may cost me much tribulation,
I am resolved; there`s nothing between.
IV.
Nothing between, e`en many hard trials,
Tho` the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self denial,
I`ll triumph at last, with nothing between.
