A report is systematic, well
organized documents which
analyze a subject or
problem.

 Recording of a sequence of events.


 Interpreting significance of these events of facts.
 Discussion of outcomes of a decision or course of
action.
 Making conclusion on an event that has occurred.
 Recommendation of future.

INFORMATION REPORT
 A report to inform readers about a topic or
an event which helps to increase readers
knowledge about the topic or event to
bring reader up to date with information.
 Information reports provide data,
facts, feedback, and other types of
information without analysis or
recommendations.

STRUCTURE OF REPORT

INTRODUCTION
 It is a short overview of the whole situation or
topic.
 Introduction is the summary of major points
the writer is going to discuss.
 Writer will give a brief description and shows
the reader why the report is being made.

BODY
 Topic or event is described in details.
 Paragraph use factual information to give reader
a better understanding of the topic or event.
 These paragraph often use subheadings to help
organize the information.
 A discussion section can also be included at the
end of body.

CONCLUSION
 Rephrase the key points of each body
paragraph.
 Repeat the main idea.
 Review of what was described in report.
INTERNET USAGE BY 16+

INTRODUCTION:
This graph shows the result of a survey in
which people aged over 16 were asked about
their preferred devices for accessing internet.
Participants mentioned for Smartphone,
laptop, tablet and desktop computer
BODY:
The percentage of users of each device.
Comparison of these devices.
Majority prefer smart phones.
Only a small minority prefer to use devices
other then these four.
Use subheadings for each device.
CONCLUSION:
Since Smartphone is a portable device so
most of the people prefer to use this.
In future we can expect that most of the
people will access internet through
smartphones.

MAKING REPORT MORE INTERESTING:


 Include Visuals. (Images, Graphs or diagrams)
 Use subheadings.
 Advance vocabulary.
 Use comparative language.
 Coherence.
 Glossary. (difficult words or definitions)
