The Project aims to provide an opportunity to the students to apply the knowledge and

expertise they learn in the class to the real world. The Project is meant to realize the students
that in such a short span of time how amazing and valuable skills they have learnt and if they
use them properly, even such skills would give them a distinctive edge over others.

You are given/assigned a public limited company and you have to study and analyze its annual
reports. You are required to do following things in your project report. You can download the
annual reports of your assigned company free of cost and very conveniently, and you don’t need
a field visit or interviews in this regard.

1. Horizontal analysis and Vertical analysis of Income Statement and Balance Sheet for the last
five years of your assigned company using Excel.

2. Calculate Liquidity ratios, Efficiency/Productivity ratios, Profitability ratios, Gearing ratios,


and Market ratios for last five years of your assigned company using Excel.

3. Show the result of (1) and (2) in graph through trend analysis, pie charts, par charts and other
useful pictorial techniques, you shall show, explain these and comments on trends

4. Compare the performance of your assigned company with benchmark or any company of that
sector, comment on relative comparison and show this comparison through graphs.

5. Presentation of Data &Findings: Explain the data and variables used in the study and
present the findings or results of your research method.

6. Interpretation of the Results: Interpret the results in detail.

7. Conclusion/Findings: In this section, the concluding observations based on the main


findings and suggestions are to be provided.
