This is what Mila’s life is like at school and in

the classroom. Days continue to change without
stopping. Almost all the teachers who enter the
class always scold her because she is unable to
understand the subject matter. And almost all the
teachers don't care about Mila anymore in the
classroom. Actually, Mila had been warned by
her teachers when she was in grade VII. They
suggested that Mila take part in tutoring
activities at school or outside. But in fact She
doesn’t follow the advice of her teachers, and
that is one reason why there are some teachers
who no longer care too much about it. They
consider it useless to give advice or advice to
students like Mila whose stature is very lazy in
learning, yet she will not carry it out and still
choose like that.
"Okay answered the children

The lesson takes place with a cheerful and happy atmosphere. The
children looked very excited and satisfied with the teaching given
by Ms. Helda. However, she was not satisfied. Because there is
still one student who is not interested in the lesson. Her gaze kept
looking at Mila, who just stared blankly. Not a second did she
enjoy the time in her class. Also, no student would point to Mila so
Mila would play the game. Mila is like a shadow in her own class.
Ms. Helda began to find out about Mila. She wondered to
the teachers who had entered the Mila class. And the
answers from all the teachers are mostly the same. She
found information that Mila was a child who was less
active and very quiet. And she is also slow to think and
always gets bad grades. In fact, she always gets the last
rank in her class. Ms. Helda also began to look for ways to
make Mila change. Somehow she wanted to see Mila be
able to blend in with her friends. She felt sorry for Mila for
not having friends.

The next day, sports lesson takes place.

All students change clothes quickly, put
their belongings in class, and
immediately run to the field. Sports
lessons are a favorite subject for most
students. They like to play volleyball,
soccer, badminton and so on. But of
course not with Mila. Just like the other
lessons, Mila just sat alone under a tree
while watching her friends playing. Mr.
Anto knew that, but he just kept quiet.
Because he also had often even told
Mila to join her friend, but his order had
never been heard by Mila. She prefers to
be alone and watch.

Only 30 minutes left. Mila rushed to enter the

class for the first time and immediately changed
clothes. Usually she is the first to always enter the
class. After a while Mila is already neat with her
school uniform, her friends began arriving in the
classroom. Mila sank her head on the table and
closed her eyes. Like there is a heavy burden
carrying her mind right now.

"No . No t Mila defended herself.

Annisa said, not too strong but could be

The lesson was carried out

cheerfully as usual. Miss Helda
is very smart in making interesting
learning media so students can
active and not boring in the
class. But, her mind was disturbed
because of Mila’s story. Since Mila
told her about her father, Miss
Helda has many questions about
Mila.
The next day, Mila didn't come to the
class. And her absence in the class certainly
doesn't affect the class. And the next day
Mila didn't come without reason. And so on
until the fifth day Mila still didn’t
come. Miss Helda immediately looked for
Mila's whereabouts. She searched Mila's
home address. And when she arrived at
Mila's house, she was stunned. She thought
when she saw the house that stood was not
too sturdy in front of her. The house that
only covered with bamboo and bamboo as a
buffer. And also the floor is still ground.

She accidentally saw someone coming out of

Mila's house. A middle-aged man who walks
with stumbling. Miss Helda immediately
approached him and asked who is the
man. Then miss Helda know that he was
Mila's father. Her father that she told in front
of the class yesterday. Mila's father looks old
and wears dirty clothes. His leg was in a
bandage and there was a wound on his
forehead.
After a long conversation with Mila’s father, Miss
Helda knows why Mila is very inactive. Her father had
just fallen off a bicycle while selling Es Dawet. And
because Mila is the only child and there is no one else
besides them, Mila is the one who replaced her father's
job. Apparently that was the reason why Mila didn't
come to school. And also it turns out that every time
Mila go to the house after school, Mila sells fried foods
that she made by herself. She peddled her fried food
until evening. Miss Helda couldn't hold back her
tears. She cried to hear stories from Mila’s father, and
so was Mila’s father.
"J ust c a lm d o w n .
Yo u ju st h a ve to sit in Miss Helda stroked Mila's head.
yo ur h o use a n d I w ill

Since then, Miss Helda has routinely

provided free lessons to Mila. Mila is very
happy. It's been a month for Miss Helda to
motivate and teach Mila many things. She really
hoped Mila could show her abilities without
shame. Until the teacher's day, there were many
kinds of competitions, and Miss Helda told Mila
to take part in the speech competition. At first
Mila was reluctant to follow her because she
never appeared in public. Her feeling of distrust
is very large. But thanks to the encouragement
from Miss Helda made Mila ventured. In her
heart, she was eager to make Miss Helda proud
because of her. And when Mila appeared, all
pairs of eyes looked at her. Especially the
teachers and friends. They were not sure that the
one in front was Mila, a famous female student
who was very quiet and less active. Mila tries to
appear confident and ignores all kinds of gazes
that are fixed on her. And with so much effort,
finally the announcement day arrived.
Annisa's admission surprised everyone.
The children who were in the class were
immediately drawn to Annisa who had
suddenly cried. They started cheering Annisa,
because the mastermind behind the incident a
few months ago. Mila feels bad for Annisa. She
was sure, surely Annisa had a reason why she
did it. With a heart full of kindness, Mila
forgives Annisa and tells her not to be like that
again. Mila's noble attitude received praise
from her friends. They did not expect that
apparently all this time Mila was a good child.
And also smart. But because of her quiet nature
and inactivity in the classroom that covered his
true nature. And this is all thanks to Miss
Helda. Miss Helda who made Mila change. He
also plans to give something to Miss Helda.

However, for the past two weeks Miss

Helda has not entered her class anymore. All
students wondered about Miss Helda's condition
but none of them knew. They were sad because
Miss Helda did not teach in their class, especially
Mila. He was very sad and curious where Miss
Helda was. Mila was determined to ask Mrs.
Soraya, conseling teacher about the condition of
Miss Helda. Apparently, Miss Helda is sick. Mrs.
Soraya recounts that Miss Helda suffered from
stage 3 leukemia. Miss Helda intentionally kept
her illness secret so she would not be pitied. All
the teachers just learned about Miss Helda's
disease.
Mila immediately cried to
hear the news. She did not expect
that during this time Miss Helda
had a deadly disease. During this
time Miss Helda looks healthy and
fine. But in fact, she was
struggling against Leukemia. Mila
remembered the day Miss Helda
had so many nosebleeds. Maybe
that's the beginning where Miss
Helda began to get sick, she
thought. Mila asked Miss Helda's
home address and where Miss
Helda was treated. He will visit
Miss Helda after school.

The next day, the school was very

uproar. All the teachers were crying, so
were the students. Mila was no
exception, she cried heartily when she
got word that Miss Helda was crying.
She sank her head on the table, and cried
as much as she could. Miss Helda is very
loved by everyone in this school. So
when he got the news that Miss Helda
died, everyone felt lost. Although Miss
Helda is a new teacher at this school.
Dear, Mila is my best child ...
Thank you for being the real Mila, honey. From
the beginning I saw you, I knew there must be a reason
behind why you were like that. I am very happy to be
able to meet and meet you. You are the only my student
who is the kindest I ever met.
Mila, don't be discouraged in learning. Everyone
has potential that can be developed. And I what have
you seen your potential. And now? Alhamdulillah ... I am
so happy you can develop your potential now. Even
though you are not good at other subjects, I confesses
your proficiency in English. Mila, each teacher's
character is different. Maybe all this time you just
haven't found someone who can understand you
correctly. So, even though you were never cared for by
the teacher, don't feel discouraged? Just show them that
you can. The point is, never stop learning. I am sure,
someday you will be a successful person, and can make
your father happy by buying him a new home like what
you had hoped for.
Mila, thank you for wanting to be my student.
Thanks to you. now, I can smile happily. Really happy
without burden. Forgive me, dear, if I have mistake with
you. As Albert Einstein said, "Life is like a bicycle. To
stay balanced, you have to move.”
Forgive me, Mila who suddenly left. I can't teach
you anymore. You study alone, Ok? And prove it to me
that you will succeed in becoming a great teacher. Even
though I am far away, but I can know. Hehe..

Mila's keep your spirit up!

Mila smiles reading a letter from Miss Helda. Even though her
eyes were still teary, she smile. She thought, Miss Helda didn't
want her tears. What Miss Helda wants, she can achieve her goals
and make her happy. Mila hugged the paper tightly, and smiled
again in front of Miss Helda's body.

Mila said confidently. “I p ro m ise s to b e

su c c e ss, Miss"

"Mila
