Writing about the effects of a popular kind of tourism on

a place

Choose a type of tourism and write about two effects of it on the place(s) where it is popular. You may write
about positive effects, negative effects, or both.

Worldwide, there are many tourism models such as Arctic or Antarctic

tourism, adventure tourism, culture tourism, ecotourism, geo-tourism, health or
medical tourism, space tourism, sports tourism, sustainable tourism, volunteer
tourism. However, I would like to write about sports tourism due to its two positive
effects.

First and foremost, sports tourism help advertise a place and help local
people have a good income. Indeed, whenever there is a sport event, the host
committee often introduces the scenery, the culture of the place where the event
will be organized/ taken place in media. Thus, competitors, their friends and many
people know about it. For instance, every year, Ha Giang marathon race attracts
many runners and their families come to Ha Giang. It is also a good way to support
local residents to earn their living from services such as hotels, homestays,
restaurants, transports, photos, trading etc.

In addition, sports tourism encourages people to exercise to improve their

health. To be specific, doing exercise help our immune system be in good
condition and develop our muscles. Taking Moc Chau marathon race 2020 as an
example, after the race in almost small town or commune there have appeared a
movement of running. And there are now regular running competitions among
communes within the province every year.

In summary, two major positive influences of sports tourism are higher

income of local people and the improvement of people`s health. In my perspective,
sports tourism should be encouraged around the world.
