 GENERAL
Change Management Package is used for managing changes occur during engineering work. This software helps
engineers to reduce omission and mistakes in the engineering work. The information of planing, implementation,
and test can also be recorded.
This software is an optional function of Automatic Design Suite (AD Suite). (*1) It is available for ProSafe-RS and
ProSafe-RS Lite (*2).
The Change Management Package is applicable to the following safety control stations (SCSs):
SSC50S, SSC50D, SSC57S, SSC57D, SSC60S, SSC60D, S2SC70S, S2SC70D, L1SC70S, L1SC70D

*2: When used for ProSafe-RS Lite engineering, it has been supported since ProSafe-RS R4.06.

 FUNCTION SPECIFICATIONS
l Change management workflow
The figure below shows an example of change Modification Package (ModPack)
management workflow using the AD Suite. ModPack is a form containing a collection of all the
information related to a particular change. A ModPack
cosists of various information such as changes in an
Start ID number, a status, a person in charge, a place, and
a test procedure. A file with test results and other data
can also be attached to the ModPack.

l Dialog windows for change management
The following windows and an editor are used for change management.
ModPack Navigator
The list of ModPacks is displayed for the following statuses. The ModPacks to be displayed are depending on the role
of the user.

Table ModPack Statuses

Status Description
Created Initial status when a ModPack is created
Assigned An engineer is assigned to the ModPack
In-progress ModPack is being implemented
Tested ModPack verification is completed by the engineer
Validated The authorized engineer has decided that the change of ModPack is valid
Accepted The change to the ModPack was accepted
Rejected The authorized engineer has decided that the change of ModPack is invalid

ModPack List Window


The list of ModPacks in ModPack Navigator in the table format is displayed.
ModPack Editor
This editor is used for creating a new ModPack or changing the ModPack settings. By using this editor, a file
containing records of test results and other data can be attached.

Refer to the GS “ProSafe-RS Safety Instrumented System Overview (for Vnet/IP)” (GS 32P01B10-01EN),
“ProSafe-RS Safety Instrumented System Overview (for Vnet/IP-Upstream)” (GS 32P01B30-01EN), or ”ProSafe-RS
Lite Safety Instrumented System Overview” (GS 32P51B10-01EN).
