 GENERAL
Automation Design Suite (AD Suite) provides an integrated engineering environment for configuring and maintaining
overall instrumentation including plant instrumentation, safety instrumentation, and maintenance management.
This software is available for ProSafe-RS and ProSafe-RS Lite (*1).
*1: When used for ProSafe-RS Lite engineering, it has been supported since ProSafe-RS R4.06.

 FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
 Overview of AD Suite
The AD Suite for implementing ProSafe-RS/ProSafe-RS Lite engineering consists of Engineering Server Function
to manage project data and Safety System Engineering and Maintenance Function to configure and manage the
ProSafe-RS/ProSafe-RS Lite system. The Engineering Server Function and the Safety System Engineering and
Maintenance Function can run on a single computer.

The AD Suite manages the histories of engineering changes done by a user in the form of a database. Change
information contains a change set ID, user name, date/time , details, and comment.

 ENGINEERING SERVER FUNCTION

RS4E5000 Engineering Server Function is a software license to use the AD Server.
The Engineering Server Function has the following functions.

 Automation Design Master Database (ADMDB)

All RS project data is stored in the ADMDB. Information on change histories of the project data is also stored in this
database.

 Automation Design Server Management Tool (ADS Management Tool)

This software manages the AD Server.

 SAFETY SYSTEM ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE FUNCTION
RS4E5100 Safety System Engineering and Maintenance Function is a software license to use the safety engineering
station (SENG).
The Safety System Engineering and Maintenance Function has the following functions.

 Automation Design Organizer (AD Organizer)

The AD Organizer implements engineering in the AD Suite. The AD Organizer provides an interface to each tool
necessary for ProSafe-RS/ProSafe-RS Lite engineering and maintenance.
The AD Organizer also displays information on change histories of the project data stored in the ADMDB.

 SCS Manager
The SCS Manager contains basic functions to configure and manage the ProSafe-RS/ProSafe-RS Lite. The table
below shows the functions of the SCS Manager.
