General ProSafe-RS/ProSafe-RS Lite

Specifications RS4H2300
Forced I/O Viewer Package
GS 32P02B20-01EN

n GENERAL
Safety engineering station (SENG) has a forcing function that locks a value of input/output variable and internal
variable (variables other than input/output variable) of application logic to a constant value regardless of the input
value from the actual input device or the operation result of the application, and forcibly changes the variables.
Forced I/O Viewer Package (*1) displays a list of information such as variables locked by the forcing function.
This software is available for ProSafe-RS and ProSafe-RS Lite (*2).
*1: RS4E5100 Safety System Engineering and Maintenance Function includes the forced I/O viewer package. The forced I/O
viewer package has been supported since ProSafe-RS R4.05.
*2: For ProSafe-RS Lite, it has been supported since ProSafe-RS R4.06.

n FUNCTION SPECIFICATIONS
Forced I/O Viewer shows a summary of the number of locks and whether there are locks, and lists information such as
locked variables for each of the following items:
• Input/output variables and internal variables
• SCS link transmission (send data, receive data)
• Inter-SCS safety communication (send data, receive data)
• Subsystem communication
• Safety subsystem communication

Multiple SCS information can also be displayed together.

l Forced I/O information

Information such as locked variables displayed in the forced I/O viewer is called forced I/O information. The following
forced I/O information is displayed in the viewer.
• SCS station names
• Variable names, instance names, and those comments
• Start date and time when the variables and instances were locked
• Input module names, Output module names, and those channel numbers (for I/O variables)
• SCS station name of sender of locked received data (for SCS link transmission (receive) and Safety communication
between SCS (receive))
• Communication module names (for subsystem communication and safety subsystem communication)

l Forced I/O information display and printing

Forced I/O information is displayed in a tabular format for each item in the forced I/O viewer and can be printed.

 Forced I/O information storage

Forced I/O information displayed in the forced I/O viewer can be saved to a file in csv format separated by commas.

 Grouping multiple SCS

When registering multiple SCSs as a group and assigning a group name, the forced I/O information of SCSs
belonging to the group can be displayed in the forced I/O viewer. Up to 32 groups can be registered.
