Palestine

Is a State with limited recognition located in the Middle East, more specifically in the
Mediterranean Levant, which consists of the regions of the West Bank (which includes East
Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip. It borders Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and the southeastern shore of
the Mediterranean Sea.

The Palestine’s capital cities are Ramallah and East Jerusalem, the language of Palestine is
Arabic, and their nationality is Palestinian.

Traditional food
Palestinian cuisine is not just about hummus or falafel. There are other much-loved traditions,
such as grape leaves and vegetable puree stuffed with rice and minced meat. Another favorite
is the “Maqlouba”, made from layers of meat, rice, and fried vegetables like cauliflower,
eggplant, potatoes, and carrots. Another traditional plate of Palestine is the Musakhan, it’s a
heady combo of olive oil, sumac, caramelized onions and perfectly roasted chicken on
flatbread.

Popular sports
The most popular sport in Palestine is the association football, the Palestine national football
team played Afghanistan in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
