NOTE FOR THE RECORD: The City Clerk read the instructions to participate in the Hybrid
Commission Meeting.

1. ROLL CALL. The City Commission for the City of West Miami met in special hybrid session
on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 beginning at 7:30 PM in the City of West Miami Commission
Chambers, 901 S.W. 62nd AVE, West Miami, FL 33144 and through Zoom Video
Conferencing https://zoom.us/j/3255236059.
Present at the Commission Chambers were: Vice-Mayor Eric Diaz-Padron, Commissioner
Candida Blanca and Commissioner Juan M. Blanes.
Present through Zoom were: Mayor Rhonda Rodriguez and Commissioner Luciano L.
Suarez

Also in attendance were: City Manager Yolanda Aguilar, City Clerk Annery Gonzalez and
City Attorney Jose A. Villalobos were present through Zoom.

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. Commissioner Blanes led the Pledge of Allegiance

3. PUBLIC COMMENTS. No comments from the public.

4. SPECIAL AGENDA ITEMS:

A) Report and recommendation for Resolution Re: Acceptance of settlement offer from
Streamline Synergies for $118,132.72 in connection with the damages to the sewer line
on SW 62nd AVE/ 10th TERR. The City Attorney provided a report summarizing the process
to reach the aforementioned settlement.

B) RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST

AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE A SETTLEMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $118,132.72 FROM STREAMLINE SYNERGIES, FOR FULL AND
FINAL SETTLEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE DAMAGES TO THE CITY’S SEWER
LINE ON SW 62 AVENUE/10 TERRACE; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
Commissioner Blanca motioned to approve the Resolution as presented. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Blanes. All voted in favor by a 5/0 voice vote.

5. GOOD OF THE ORDER. Mayor Rodriguez thanked the City Manager, City Attorney and
Director of Public Works for their due diligence and efforts recovering the money for the
damages to the sewer line.
Commissioner Blanes thanked all those that worked hard to make the Easter Drive-By
event a success.
The City Manager also thanked Cary Acosta for the job well done planning the event.

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the City Commission the meeting
was declared adjourned at 7:36 PM.
