Kerjakan soal di bawah ini dengan baik dan benar!

Konsep Dasar
1. Both a gage and a manometer are attached to a gas tank
to measure its pressure. If the reading on the pressure
gage is 80 kPa, determine the distance (h) between the
two fluid levels of the manometer if the fluid is (a)
mercury (ρ=13,600 kg/m3) or (b) water (ρ=1000
kg/m3).
2. A mercury manometer (ρ=13,600 kg/m) is connected to an
air duct to measure the pressure inside the duct. The
difference in the manometer levels (h) is 15 mm, and the
atmospheric pressure is 100 kPa. Determine the absolute
pressure in the duct (a) if the differential mercury high
h=15mm; (b) if the differential mercury high h=45mm

CONTROL VOLUME ANALYSIS USING ENERGY

1. Steam enters an adiabatic turbine at 8 MPa and 500°C at a rate of 3 kg/s and leaves at 20 kPa.
If the power output of the turbine is 2.5 MW. Neglect kinetic energy changes. Assuming the
stream exit the turbine in the mix vapor-liquid phase. Determine the temperature of the steam
at the turbine exit!
2. Steam enters a nozzle at 400°C and 700 kPa with a velocity of 10 m/s and leaves at 280°C
and 300 kPa while losing heat at a rate of 25 kW. For an inlet area of 800 cm, determine the
velocity and the volume flow rate of the steam at the nozzle exit.

ENTROPY
1. A well-insulated rigid tank contains 2 kg of a saturated liquid–
vapor mixture of water at 100 kPa. Initially, three-quarters of the
mass is in the liquid phase. An electric resistance heater placed
in the tank is now turned on and kept on until all the liquid in the
tank is vaporized. Determine the entropy change of the steam
during this process.

2. A piston–cylinder device contains 2 lbm of refrigerant-134a at 120 psia and 100°F. The
refrigerant is now cooled at constant pressure until it exists as a saturated liquid at 50°F.
Determine the entropy change of the refrigerant during this process
