Hiring Manager, First Quarter Finance
Dear FQF Hiring Manager,

I am a self-motivated person. I read the FQF listing for a Researcher (Remote, Part-time,
Contract) on Indeed.com with interest
and am writing to apply.

I am a professional freelancer with some chunks of time free in between project tasks. This listing
sounds perfect to fill those chunks of time with something that is a change of pace but
still rewarding in several ways: monetarily, and because as I get older personal finance has
become important to me. Not only for my sake but also because I want to make sure I set the best
examples for my children.

For the last ten years, I was often tasked with research projects by one of my main clients. While
some
we're offline, most were online, and frequently involve gathering information
about services similar to what my client offered. Once gathered, I analyze the information, shared
the results, and recommended changes to the content of this client's websites or marketing
materials, based on my analysis.

The largest research project I worked on:

In order to assist him when it came to analyzing a possible work of art by a certain artist that he
was frequently hired to do, an art expert wanted a database of every photo ever taken of any work
by that artist. Photos were collected from every
book, magazine, newspaper, exhibition catalog, and video published regarding the artist and his
works. During his lifetime, this artist had been known to be an alcoholic, a womanizer, a frequent
traveler, homeless several times, a gambler, and in debt for much of his career. We also had to
find photos his family and friends may have taken: photos of the works the artist gave away to
pay his rent, as gifts to his mistresses, as payment for gambling debts and even as payment for
damages caused to property when intoxicated. The result of this project is that this client has the
only, and very comprehensive, database of photos of works by said artist.

I would name the best airline Blink Airlines. Today saving time is so important, that naming a
service based on it's speed is a good idea.

I handle interesting, yet repetitive tasks by focusing on the interesting part as my reward, once I
can do the repetitive part like an automaton.

Thank you for your consideration.
