SCHOOL LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

The outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared a Public Health Emergency of International
Concern and the virus has now spread to many countries and territories. As this happens, The
protection of learners and educational facilities is particularly important. The Philippine
educational system faces today a big challenge on how to ensure that school age children and
adult learners get the right education amidst the prevailing pandemic- COVID-19.
With all these collective problems, education must continue, as according to DepEd
Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones. She has firmly stood that whatever is happening in the
country and whatever challenges we are facing, school opening will still push through.
The School Learning Continuity Plan SY 2020-2021 provides key points and considerable
changes in the school opening procedures necessary to address possible disturbances, and
policies to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being for school administrators, teachers and
staff, parents, stakeholders and community members, as well as learners themselves in
promoting safe and healthy schools.
There are no existing models that could be benchmarked in crafting an accessible, relevant,
responsive education plan in times of emergency.
Objectives:
To appropriately respond to the growing demand for continuity of learning, the school aims
to:
1. ensure the readiness of the school;
2. determine the most appropriate teaching-learning modalities to develop the most essential
learning competencies among learners;
3. provide policy guidelines to our school in the implementation and monitoring of teaching-
learning modalities;
4. ensure safe and healthy school environment; and
5. establish partnership with stakeholders in education.

To realize these goals, the school shall pursue the following strategies:

1. Assessment of school readiness


2. Determine and describe of the most appropriate teaching-learning modalities to develop
the most essential skills among learners
3. Provide policy guidelines in the implementation and monitoring of learning continuity plan
4. Provide transition programs School Heads and teachers on the adapted teaching-learning
modalities
5. Ensure healthy and safe school environment
6. Strengthen partnership with stakeholders
