Shop Background

Syamzhida Batik And Songket Collecion is a clothing store where all the songket and
batik is store in the premises. The cloth store was established at May 2004. This premises
have warehouse where all cloth will be stored there. The premises sell all sort of batik and
songket depending on the quality and size of the cloth.

Syamzhida Batik and Songket Collection start by selling the batik to costumer either
complete cloth or selling unfinished cloth to the costumer. Syamzhida Batik And Songket
Collection also give discount to regular costumer who always come to buy the batik and
songket and tend to give promotions to costumer. By doing this kind of thing, this premises
have a lot of costumer and regular.

The manager of this store is Muhd. Norhisham Bin Ramli. The manager is friendly
and always help the employee and tend to give incentive to the employee. Employee of this
store also friendly with the costumer. This shop address is at Bangunan Kedai, Kampung
Ladang, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The current process at the Syamzhida Batik and Songket Collection is pretty much orthodox
where the data is stored is book only. All the data about costumer, supplier, price, and many
more is stored in book and this will be a problem if there is loss of record and data.
Syamzhida Batik and Songket Colletion did not have database or system to be used as storing
the data and making the workload easier. All the data is recorded manually by the employee
need to checked the data everyday. Duplication and loss of data may be inevitable because of
the data is only stored in book and employee need a lot of time to check the record. This is
the main problem of the premises because of the data is stored manually.

Data about cloth

A lot of cloth design is stored in the warehouse. Usually the record book will be used to
check the quantity of cloth including size. This will be a problem if employee did not record
or maybe forgot doing it. Record of supplier also need to be stored and check whether the
supplier cloth will be send or not. Problem will occur if there is a delay of supplier cloth and
employee need to check the record back.

Loss of Data

The data that is stored manually in book often will loss and many record book will be needed
to stored the data. If the record loss, the problem of checking the data will be a huge problem
to the premises. It also can cause a lot of mistake during record or checking the data in the
book. To be precise, the data that is loss cannot be recovered at all cost.

Duplication of data

Duplication of data may occur when it is manually stored. Duplication of data will be a
problem because if the data is stored manually by the employee, the duplication may occur.
The data may be duplicate in previous record and employee need to check back the last
record. It will be a lot of trouble if many data duplication occur because there is no system
that can checked almost instantly.

Time Consuming
Employee need to search the data manually and will spend a lot of time to search past record
data and this will be a lot of trouble to search for the past record because of the manually
search
SCOPE

The project is designed for the Syamzhida Batik And Songket Collection shop. The premises
is selling and ordering the cloth from the supplier. This shop need to track the data and check
the warehouse to make sure if there any size and cloth design available. The system that will
be use is an inventory system for Syamzhida Batik And Songket Collection. By having this
kind of system, they can track down the data and keep the record safely in database. This
shop need database to solve the problem of data loss and duplication of data based on
previous record.

The database implementation is achieve by using Microsoft Office Access for the database
development.

 To record the data of cloth based on size and design

 Reduce the duplication of data and data loss
 To reduce time consuming of checking the previous record
