Define occupational health hazard?

Occupational hazard may be defined as a source or situation with a potential for harm in


terms of injury or ill health, damage to property, damage to the workplace environment, or
a combination of these

İt can be Classified :

 Accdents/injury

 Disease

TYPES OF occupational health hazard

Occupational hazards are divided into five groups according to their nature:

chemical hazard, related to exposure to gases, vapors, fumes, and chemicals.( industrial
workers,agriculture workers ,health workers are the Most Exposures to the occupational
health hazards ..)

 physical hazard(Environmental Hazards: ...), related to exposure to noise pollution,


vibration and shocks, illumination, radiation, heat, ventilation, air and water pollution.
(agriculture workers ,construction workers,health workers are the Most Exposures to the
occupational health hazards) .

 Biological hazard that include exposure to bacteria, fungi, viruses, insects, (agriculture
workers ,health workers are the Most Exposures to the occupational health hazards)
.

 Ergonomic hazard, include: Improperly adjusted workstations and chairs,


Frequent lifting, Poor posture, Awkward movements, especially if they are
repetitive, Using too much force, especially if it's done frequently,Vibration.
industrial workers,agriculture workers ,health workers ,construction workers are the
Most Exposures to the occupational health hazards) .

 Psychological Hazards, Industrial/job stress
