We are in the final stretch! There is less than a month before New York State’s
legislative session is over and we must get The Climate and Community Investment
Act passed before then. On May 18th, organizers and activists all throughout New
York will be hosting in-person rallies in order to get support from key legislators. The
CCIA is NYS next big push for climate justice and with all hands on deck, we can finish
strong and win big! We must show our support and encourage legislators that good,
green jobs and a just transition is the future of New York.

We must keep fighting to hold these polluters accountable for the damage they’ve
caused to our state, our planet and our communities. Step one was to get the CCIA
introduced. Step two is to get it passed. Lets keep the momentum going.

I know you take climate justice seriously and want to show up when it counts! I’m telling
you… right now it counts!

We only have until June 10th to pass the CCIA this year. So, NY Renews is having
rallies all across the state on May 18th! Now that we are nearing the end of this
legislative session, it is crunch time to lift up our champions and build pressure on the
major political players left to join us. Find a rally near you!

In April, there were 15 rallies across the state and we got tons of press coverage and put
the bill on the map. Now, on May 18th, we need to send an even more powerful
message to push the CCIA across the finish line this year.

Thank you for all you do for climate justice and your community. Let's #PassTheCCIA this
