NY Renews is partnering with One NY Indivisible for a Climate, Jobs, and Justice Week
of Action April 5-9.

This is an important week. Both the state and federal legislature will be in recess, so it’s
the perfect time to pull their attention to the Climate and Community Investment Act
(CCIA) - New York State Senate Bill S4264A - and the federal THRIVE Agenda. We must
secure our vision of NYS that is just and equitable, a livable future, with good paying
jobs.

Tuesday, April 6, will be our huge social media day of action. We need your support to
help amplify our message as much as possible. Below are suggested outreach emails
and sample posts for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook as well as hashtags and
graphics for you to use. Feel free to get creative, we want this to be one of the biggest
online media outreaches as possible!

In this new technological age, social media has become a forefront for activism and
change. The power of the media can make big things happen because it is the perfect
way to show our representatives the amount of support we have! On this day, we want
to create a large flood of support for the passage of the CCIA. The goal is to make such
a splash that no one will be able to ignore our demands for a better future for NYS. We
want to win a bill this year, we want good, green jobs, and we want climate, jobs, justice!

Instructions for Videos

Instructions:
1. Film a short video (less than a minute) explaining why you support the CCIA. Feel free
to include your name, your organization or constituency, and speak from the heart on
why passing the CCIA is the future NY needs.
a. The video can be as simple or creative as you want! Holding a sign or a poster
about the CCIA or just create a video of you and your words. Anything is
welcome
2. Once the video is made, post on your personal account (or organization account) on
Tuesday, April 6th.
a. Make sure to tag NY Renews, One Indivisible, your representatives and
legislators, climate influencers, celebrities, etc.
b. Also make sure to use our hashtags listed below such as
#PollutersPayForCCIA #YouthForCCIA #ParentsForCCIA etc.
3. The final step is to upload your video in this folder, where a larger compilation video
that shows all the different support for the CCIA will be created.

The Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA) - New York State Senate Bill
S4264A - does just that by raising $15 billion per year from corporate polluters and

renewable economy for New York State.
On Tuesday, April 6, NY Renews and One Indivisible will be hosting a social media day
of action during our Climate, Jobs, and Justice Action Week. We need as much
outreach as possible to amplify our message and make this day of action a success.
