Introduction

Creating Final Project in Logic Circuits and Switching Theory

(Ckt Diagram WLD)

The design is a Dam-Style Water Level Detector with Street Lights and House with
lightings.

The group delegated the power to Jimuel Ladao.

Materials used:
Three BC547 NPN Transistors
Four 1k-ohm resistors
Three 330-ohm resistors
Two 9V batteries
Two meter wire
Illustration board
Popsicle Sticks
Green Color Paper
Paints (White and Red)
Seven LEDs
Buzzer
Cement and Sand
Soil
Two Battery Holders
Stick Glues
Wood (served as holder for the circuit)
Plywood
Rods of metals

Tools and Equipments used:

Soldering Iron
Cement-making tools
Paper Scissor and Cutter
Glue Gun
Pliers
Bucket

Estimated Total Cost: Php 700.00

Chapter 2
Methodology

For the Dam:

Started with mixing and pouring the cement and sand to a piece of plywood for
flooring. Some rods of metals are used for the foundation.

The next day as the cement dried, the group started to make the dam walls with pre-
installed connecting wires for future convenience in electric installations.

Planned to connect the wires underground for the street lights and house lights,
the group digged the walls already before the cemented walls dry. The connection
of wires happened afterwards and the wires are buried with cement.

The group also dug up some depth in a wall for the location of the Water Level
Detector. The detector is fixed with a stick glue melted with the glue gun.

For the Street Lights:

The design is to connect the LEDs to a battery connected with wires underground
with 1k-ohm resistors connected in the positive leg of each LED. The circuit is
done in posted popsicle sticks. They were then sprayed with colored-red spray
paint.

For the House Lights:

The house is built with illustration board and the adhesivity of stick glues. The
design of the house is mainly made by Lourence Dineros with decorations of green
color papers as the grass. The bridge and the park across the water pavement is
made with Roger Porlage. These structures are fixed in a soil for the convenience
of fixing and realistic approaches.

The lighting is done with the connection from the bottom of the house up with the
floors. The LEDs are the lighting elements with 1k-ohm resistors connected on
each positive leg of it.

For the Water Level Detector:

The connections are done in a piece of wood. The components are glued into it and
following the soldering format with the diagram below:

(Ckt Diagram WLD)

The emitters are connected in the ground, the LEDs and the buzzer are connected in
the collector at the positive terminal of the battery (with 330-ohm resistors
connected in the LEDs) and the bases are the level indicators in the dam. A wire
connected from the positive terminal of the battery is also placed in the bottom
of the dam.

Special Mentions:
This project's idea and theme planning is done with Lester Millano.
In charge of the electrical installations and cement-moldings is for Rojene Gasing.
The works are also done with the assistance of Eladio Pornelos, Aldrech Gasalatan
and Jimuel Ladao.
