In recent years, distance teaching and learning has increasingly popular among the student and this is

perceived differently by learner. Many student perceived this as a beneficial aid in learning while others
think that they are not as much effective as classroom teaching. This essay will discuss about the
advantage and disadvantage of online teaching.

One of the main advantages of studying online is that it provides a flexible timing and less budgeted for
student. They are able to learn their subjects on their suitable time and this give us a great opportunity
for learner to gain their skills and knowledge while staying in their own place. For example, many
students who want to go abroad for studying can learn at their house so they can save a lot of fees such
as shelter, shopping, vehicles and personal demand…Hence, studying online is economic and time
saving.

However, online teaching give more emphasis on the theoretical part of learning and there is less
teacher and student interaction. It lack the practical aspect of learning and encourage passive learning.
This is very obvious that students are boring and find it as a less effective than learning at school.
Despite the fact that online teaching can save many things but a greater number of student found
classroom teaching far more effective than the distance learning.

To sum up,the growing of online learning has gained its popularity among the young adults for recent
years, it is perceived as a beneficial by many people while others find it to be less effective. The
emphasis can be given to its effectiveness to establish it as the most cost effective learning than the
classroom teaching.
