 Content and instructions
Print as many copies of the coloring worksheet as necessary. You decide or let students
decide whether to use the girl and/or the boy version. The pieces of clothing are the
same in both illustrations.

You’ll also need a pair of dice: one for the clothes and another one for the colors.

I’ve included different versions of each die so you can choose the one that best fits the
needs of your classroom.

Page 6: clothing die – just images, no words

Page 7: clothing die – images, words, and definite articles
Page 8: clothing die – images, words, and indefinite articles
Page 9: clothing die – just words, no images

Page 10: color die – color words in the masculine form in B&W (you may or may not color
the die before assembling it)
Page 11: color die – color words in in the masculine form in color
Page 12: color die – color words presented in variations of gender and number in B&W
(you may or may not color the die before assembling it)
Page 13: color die – color words presented in variations of gender and number in color

Pages 15-17: dice with the word “bonnet” instead of “tuque”, “moufles” instead of
“mitaines”.
Pages 18-20: dice with the word “foulard” instead of “écharpe”.

HOW TO USE

Students can use the worksheet individually or in pairs at a center. If working in pairs, they
should take turns rolling the dice. When they roll the dice, they’ll get a combination of a
piece of clothing and a color – they should color that piece of clothing in their worksheet
in that color.

After they finish the coloring of the illustration, they should write about the clothes the
character ended up “wearing”. They complete the prompt: “Elle porte un chandail bleu,
etc”

When all the worksheets are ready, you might create a bulletin board to showcase the
students’ work.
