Describing Flowers
Communication Board
Thank you for downloading this free activity! Please don’t forget to leave a
review. Just go to “My Purchases” to provide feedback.

You can find more speech and language activities (with lots of visuals!) in
my TpT store, including spring activities!

This flower describing communication board can be used in conjunction with

AAC or as a visual for students with expressive and/or receptive language
difficulties.

I like to use this board during speech groups. I gather a variety of flowers (I
used fake flowers, but you can also use real ones) and previewed the
describing vocabulary before having each student select his/her own
flower to tell the group about! You can use the board on page 3 for this
activity.

The second communication communication board (page 4) can be used as
part of a Flower Shop pretend play activity. You can have students “order”
a flower from a student pretending to be the shop owner. You can even
incorporate pretend “payment” if you’d like! This is a great way to target
describing words, social skills, and pretend play skills.

Hope you enjoy the activity!
