This Educational Leadership program has been extremely valuable, informative, and

insightful experience. I am truly grateful to have been able to go through this program to aid in

improving myself as a professional, a leader, and as a person. I will look to utilize all of the

information gained from this program in my opportunities as a leader in the near and distant

future. Understanding that there are so many different aspects and areas that go into creation and

maintenance of an effective and efficient educational leader cannot be understated. An

educational leader truly must be a well-balanced, well-versed, and overall well-rounded

individual to achieve success. A successful educational leader must excel in areas of academics,

personal interactions, organization and scheduling, and the list goes on and on. I understand that

this success and proficiency in the leadership roles does not come over night, and I am ready and

willing to put the effort and time in to see the success down the line.

in looking back at my leadership philosophy from EAD 501, I do not believe that much

has changed, rather I feel the concepts, background, and aspects necessary for success have just

been further developed. I mentioned the three attributes of Positivity, Passion, and Determination

as conversions of my leadership style and philosophy and I stick by those one hundred percent

now and going into the future. Making a conscious effort tact and display positivity is extremely

crucial in my eyes and mindset. Also, showing a true love and joy for what you do on a daily

basis will set the example for all in the school community. Also, it will aid in creating a

prosperous environment in terms of knowledge and personal growth. Lastly, displaying

determination to accomplish what you set out to do and to demonstrate an undeniable work ethic

will set the standard and expectation for all in the school community as well. I am a firm believer

in practicing what you preach, so setting the example through my actions not solely my words

will be my approach. Understanding that staff, students, and the entire community will be
looking to me as the leader and gauge their actions off of how I present myself and react to

situations is crucial. I will set out to be the most authentic leader I can possibly be. Displaying

my true and honest self is an aspect of leadership that is extremely important to me, and I will

make that displaying a constant in my leadership style.

In conclusion, not much as changed in my thoughts and approach to leadership, but my

understanding and knowledge of the concepts, aspects, and criteria necessary to be the best

leader I can possibly be have been massively improved upon. Utilizing all of the information,

methods, and practices gained from this program will be extremely valuable to my success as a

leader in the near future and for many years to come.
