Miss Cipalla began her pre-student teaching placement in my 6th grade Math and Science classroom during the Fall of 2020 and continued her fulltime student teaching placement during the Spring semester of 2021. During this time Miss Cipalla has proven to be a very knowledgeable and professional teacher. | can overwhelmingly vouch for her character and abilities. During Miss Cipalla's pre-student teaching she was very wiling to jump right in and assimilate into our routines and procedures and join the “madness” of a middle school. She quickly garnered a positive rapport with the students and professional colleagues. She was very excited to begin teaching lessons that aligned with our standards and that were fun and interesting for our students. She did a fantastic ob of co-teaching, working with small groups, and leading the class, | was very excited to start the Spring semester, as to have Miss Cipalla with us everyday. Not only is she uniquely qualified but is very energetic and connects well with the students, Once again, Miss Cipalla was eager to begin working with the classes fulltime. She has excellent time management skils as proven by her successful academic work at Mount Union, participation in the university band, being named as Mount Union's 2021 Homecoming Queen, and student teaching all at the same time. Her lessons have not only been engaging but timely and professionally planned. From paper pencil activites, to online interactive lessons, to group sing-a-longs, Miss Cipalla has been able to make the curriculum come alive, She has joined a well seasoned teaching group in our building and has not only contributed but even led part of our discussions. This skillset and professional demeanor has impressed me the most. It has been a pleasure to help her grow as a new teacher, as well as work with her as a colleague, Miss Cipalla has also had the opportunity to gain real-world experience in another way this school year. She is currently subbing for a long term maternity leave in our building. While changing grade and subject levels she has not only done well but has exceeded our expectations. My hope was that Miss Cipalla would interview at and ultimately become a staff member here at Salem City Schools, but alas we ate too far away ftom her preferred area. She will be a fantastic addition to any school district and will quickly become a contributing staff member. IF can be of any further assistance in her application, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, csp rite Qe Jennifer Miliken-Dees milikendeas|@salem.t12.oh.us 330-429-5290
