 What is Friction Test?

Friction is the force that resists motion when the surface of one object comes in
contact with the surface of another.

Coefficient of Friction
Is the ratio of the force of friction between two bodies and the force pressing them
together.

For surfaces at rest relative to each other is the coefficient of static friction. This is
usually larger than its kinetic counterpart.

For surfaces in relative motion is the coefficient of kinetic friction.
