MALAKA-ANDAMAN LNG PIPELINE PROJECT (MALPP)

The world energy sector beyond 2020 moving towards clean and renewable energy and Asia is not
lagging behind. There is a huge LNG demand from developing and fast growing countries like India,
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar who wants to move out of their carbon based polluting energy source to
clean source. Be it for their Paris agreement commitment or to support the growing energy demand, these
countries importing LNG from faraway countries like Russia, Australia, USA and Qatar .
Malaysia being the leading LNG player in this region and with huge natural gas reserve , also exporting to
these countries .
I am proposing for a LNG business feasibility study for Malaysia LNG to these countries with the option
of supply of LNG from Malaysia to these countries by subsea pipelines (LNG grid). With LNG pipeline
supply, it can bind the customer as well as the supplier for a long term relationship like Russia LNG
supply to European countries by pipeline. Main advantage of this project
1. Assured long term NG business for Malaysia to valorize its NG assets and make assured profits.
2. Security from market fluctuations and competitive advantage over other LNG suppliers like
Qatar, Australia, USA and Russia.
3. Energy security and assured long term supply options for receiving countries like India,
Bangladesh
4. Reduction in NG transportation cost
5. Reduction in liquefaction and regasification cost
6. Lower cost of production of NG and better margin
