Subject: Hardships faced by students due to blocked access to the 4G network.

Sir,

I am writing this letter on behalf of the students of the Central University of Kashmir. I would
like to express my concern to the crises of blocked 4G network through the columns of your
esteemed newspaper.

Due to Covid19 pandemic, our university has decided to start virtual classes. However, due to
lack of high speed 4G network, the students face hard time. Students face numerous problems
when it comes to the teaching-learning process through online classes. Due to the slow internet
speed, we are not able to connect with our class or students and we find it difficult to come
online. We also are not able to connect to other online resources such as Google Scholar,
Academia, YouTube and other learning portals, which can be helpful while learning and
teaching. Due to slow internet, students are unable to give undisrupted online classes. We are
already under lockdown, and we don’t want to suffer anymore.

Both parents and their children are very much concerned due to lack of 4G network and have
requested authorities many times to restore 4G network. Authorities are not paying heed to our
concern of restoring 4G speed. I am surprised that in spite of lodging several complaints with the
authorities, 4G internet has not been restored and the students continue to suffer from the last
three months.

I, therefore, request you to highlight this issue of blocked access to the 4G network so that the
attention of the authorities can be drawn upon this problem. I will be highly obliged.

Thanking you

Yours faithfully,
Dar Aashiq
