Admission Notification

Fall 2021
1. Selection Criteria & Distribution of Marks:

Due to the Covid-19, the selection criteria for admission at SZABIST Islamabad are as under:

2. Eligibility Criteria:
A. Undergraduate Programs
i. The candidates with minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/A levels Or equivalent qualifications are eligible to apply.
ii. The result awaiting students of Intermediate Part-II can apply on the basis of matriculation result with a minimum score of 60%.
The candidates are required to attach a copy of Roll No. slip with the undertaking as a documentary evidence of enrolment in
Intermediate Part-II. The undertaking will specify conditional requirements for provisional admission that they are appearing in
Intermediate Part-II exam and if they fail to get minimum 50% score, their provisional admission will stand cancelled.
iii. The complete result of HSSC (Intermediate) must be submitted in admission office by November 1, 2021
iv. The candidates from Cambridge systems will be required to submit A-level Part-I result and statement of entry as documentary
evidence of enrolment in A-level final exams. Further, the prescribed undertaking on stamp paper will also be submitted.
v. Eight pass subjects are required in O level & three pass subjects in A level with minimum 50% score (only one E grade is
acceptable).
vi. The A-level pass candidates will be required to submit complete results before commencement of Fall 2021 semester
B. Masters Programs
i. The candidate must possess 16 years education with minimum 55% marks/2.5 CGPA from a university recognized by HEC.
C. MS Programs
ii. For admission in MS (Management Science, Project Management, & Business Analytics) the candidate must possess 16 years
education with minimum 55% marks/2.5 CGPA from a university recognized by HEC.
iii. For admission in MS (Computer Science, Data Science, & Cyber Security) the candidate must possess 16 years education with
minimum 60% marks/2.0 CGPA from a university recognized by HEC.
iv. For admission in MS (Social Science, Development Studies, & Media Studies) the candidate must possess 16 years relevant
education with minimum 2nd Division/2.0 CGPA from a university recognized by HEC. Candidates with 4-year degree in non related
discipline (BBA, BSCS, MSc., MCom., MA etc.) may apply but will require to complete deficiency conversion courses.
(Note: The candidates for all MS programs are also required to pass GRE or GAT-General/HAT relevant with minimum 50% score.)
3. Admission Test & Interview
(i). Admission tests will be held on-campus followed by an on campus interview. The online facility will be also available on request.
(ii). Merit list will be prepared for Undergraduate and Master’s programs as per marks distribution in Para-I above.
(iii). The candidates for undergraduate programs who have done SAT-I with minimum 1100 score can upload their SAT-I result and
their test is exempted.
(iv). The candidates for MS programs who have passed GAT (General) with minimum 50% marks are also exempted from entry test.
4. List of successful candidates:
The list of successful candidates (merit / waiting) will be notified through admission portal, email & SMS.
5. Application Submission
(i). Prospectus can be downloaded from https://szabist-isb.edu.pk/wp-content/uploads/Prospectus/Prospectus2020-ISB-Campus.pdf.
(ii). Application shall be submitted through online portal by uploading the scanned copies of the required documents, photographs
and admission processing fee paid challan or pay order of Rs. 1500/= (None refundable) in the name of SZABIST Islamabad
(iii). The candidates are required to submit hard copies of all the requisite documents through courier service at the following address:
Admissions Office, SZABIST, Plot # 67, Street # 9, Sector H-8/4, Islamabad.
(iv). The documents can also be dropped by hand in Admission Office during office hours
(v). The candidates who are seeking exemption from entry test on the basis of SAT or GAT General are to submit the result card.
(vi). While filling the application form, use your name as it appears on your matriculation or O-level certificate. HEC does not
accept any change in the name, when degrees are submitted for attestation.
(vii). The candidates can apply in more than one program separately.
(viii) Incomplete applications will not be considered.
