Business A,B,C All young entrepreneurs are engaged in various fields and are able to compete in

the marketplace by providing quality and affordable products and services to consumers. We

also saw that these entrepreneurs were employees and family dependents before they started this

business, but now they are managing their own income with the income they earn and creating

jobs for others beyond themselves. However, we have seen that these entrepreneurs have faced

various challenges since they started and started the business, and they have been able to pass the

tests by finding a temporary and lasting solution to the problems without overcoming them. In

addition, we need to have the knowledge and interest in what we do most to run our own

business, and we need to be careful about our manpower management after we start the business,

and exchange experiences with successful and similar organizations that work with us to help us

succeed. As we work, our knowledge is not limited, so we can see that we can improve our

business by incorporating new innovations into our business from time to time.

The main reason they started this leather business was to get them out of employment and

do their own thing.

Their main purpose in starting this business is to be self-employed, to provide consumers

with attractive and durable men's and women's footwear at an affordable price, to compete in the

leather goods market and to employ skilled manpower to alleviate the problem of

unemployment.

In terms of expressing their business, The leather-based industry especially leather

products industry (footwear, garment, leather goods) is highly fashion oriented.  Moreover,

articles made of (genuine or simulated) leather are complementing clothing. Leather products

(shoes, garment, leather goods) is important export earner for many developing countries. In

many countries leather products export ranks within the first three places in the total export. 

Especially the footwear industry’s importance to the national economies in developing countries

is underlined by the fact that it is the main contributor to the countries export and – being a

labour intensive industry – provides employment to the most vulnerable groups of the society

(including a large number of women) in towns and villages where other job opportunities are

very scarce.  The most of the leather products and footwear industry is dominated by small- and

medium-scale operations. These SMEs lack of design information, product development

knowledge, information and educated personnel for applying up-to-date quality assurance

techniques and productive technology.  The institutional background is weak in providing

necessary services, support and professional training needed for becoming competitive and thus

remaining in business (providing/maintaining working opportunities. Therefore, if the

government and non-governmental organizations pay attention and support to the sector, it can

be more effective than it is now

They serve the community by producing a wide variety of quality men's shoes and women's

bags.

Prior to starting this lather business, he worked for a lather company and they received

various trainings.

When they started this business, they told us that they faced a number of problems,

including the cost of machinery. They have been able to solve the problem by hiring only a

limited number of employees to strengthen the capacity of the trained professionals, while the

founders have been able to work more hours and produce quality and beautiful products by

delivering them to customers.

He started his business with a capital of 200,000 birr and now has a capital of 500,000

birr.

According to their proposal to start this leather business, they received funding from a

government credit institution and a temporary place of employment from the family.

Finally, self-employment to their need for self-sufficiency revenue increase and our

knowledge is unlimited, many things to do and exchange experiences with organizations that are

successful working in the same job with the benefit to change and select true when many face

problems referring to the problems that we can find solutions ourselves board remains calm and

Business B. Hanan Printer and Stationery supplier

The reason why Hanan, a printer and stationery supplier, started this business was to

break free from employment and family dependency and become self-sufficient and to create

jobs for others.

Hanna Sultan Printing and Stationery Supplier aims to start this business by providing

fast stationery and newly designed business cards to compete with the market and deliver

printing and stationery goods on time and on time.

Explaining the business, he said the job is a small business that is needed in all fields and

it is possible to make a difference in a short period of time.

They provide users with a variety of stationary photocopy scanning services as well as

printing and stationery

Before starting this business, he was employed in various stationary houses and received

training in the profession.

When they started the business, they faced various problems, among them the fact that

their office is in a new building, they did not have access to the market as much as they expected.

They were able to solve this problem by going to the office and promoting their work by

preparing various leaflets.

There starting capital is 150,000 birr and now they have a capital of 300,000 birr.

Their source of income for this business comes from family and savings.

They told us that we need to have the knowledge and information about what we want to

do before we can do any of the work we intend to do, and that it is important to know where our

work is and what our customers' needs and abilities are.

The owner of this advertising business is Ato Esayas Gashaw

Esayas Advertizing started his work by trying to show others that it is possible to start

with something small.

The purpose of launching an advertising campaign is to provide quality and standardized

advertising to the public and to be competitive and desirable in the world market.

Explains the business: Advertising is very tedious, but most of all, we have to deliver the

work ordered by the customer at the right time, and we have to be careful when we receive an

order, and the results will be good if we work diligently.

The service provided are public billboard and various posters.

He did not have much experience before he started his work, but he drew on things he found.

When he started this business, he faced many problems, such as the lack of an orderly

customer, the problem of workplace, which he solved by working with others and working on a

low budget to adapt to the market.

The capital was used to do this advertising business with 60,000 birr saved by washing

cars and selling newspapers.

Finally he advise Starting a business of your own requires money, many hours of hard

work, patience and the understanding that you might not make a whole lot of money the first

year or two or your business could fail completely. So we need to be stronger and hold our

customers in these years.
