Personal Statement

D’overbroeck’s is a school of amazing track record of grooming students and enabling them to
reach their fullest potential with the help of nurturing teachers and supportive school management.
This attracted me to also want to grow and develop myself in the school and achieve my dream
here.

The United Kingdom is well-known for its academic excellence and its renowned Universities all
across it. I hope to study in one of those prestigious universities to groom myself and pursue a
degree I want, Pharmacology, in the positive environment that would be able to provide me with
a plethora of opportunities that I could seize for my growth and development.

I hope to achieve my goal of pursuing Pharmacology in the UK - for some of its institutions are
famous for their biomedical sector - through education in d’overbroeck’s and eventually, expertise
in the field of Pharmacology where I hope to help the troubled people. By becoming n
pharmacologist, for my career goals, I would like to have PhD in pharmacology as well as working
as drug researcher in pharmaceutical companies.

Apart from academic aspect, I have always had a passion to catch the trends regarding Medicine
and Pharmaceutical Industry. This leads me to read the news about them every morning. I have
also pursued many activities that have given me experience relevant to this field of study. My great
interest in Mathematics and Science led to my engagement in various competitions. With my
outstanding academic performance at school, I have achieved Gold Prize from Intermediate
Mathematical Challenge 2020.

Studying abroad changed my view of the world, and my life. This experience has already given
me a more colourful life and more opportunities. My life in England is particularly meaningful
because although I faced difficulties in a completely new environment when I first arrived in OOO,
I was able to adjust and I became much more independent. I am proud of my achievements.
Although I acknowledge that there will be challenges to face in studying A-level in the UK, I will
continue to make exceptional efforts in my studies, as well as taking chances to benefit from
various experiences. I will attend and take part in activities on the school actively, and make the
most of my time at the school. I believe that I will be able to accomplish my aspirations in
d’overbroeck’s, just like I did in OOO, and with your excellent programme I will gain the skills I
need to develop a successful career in Pharmacology.
