ROAD TO THE WORLD’S LARGEST VACCINATION DRIVE

Excitement and hesitancies surrounding COVID 19 vaccines abound. Students have their
own set of expectations. While it is not just the young generation who is looking expecting
a return to normalcy after vaccination.

Let us look upon the vaccine as a sigh of relief for the nation. The vaccine is the light at
the end of the tunnel said experts, while urging everyone to continue following official
scientific guidelines.

At this hour, India may anticipate rolling out millions of doses of their front-running
vaccine by the end of a couple of months, but it is not certain that it will be enough to
make a significant dent in the virus’s spread.

Optimum herd immunity can be achieved through a vaccine, but objections to that vaccine
— as the above report suggests — could have adverse reactions, and also lead to future
rampant spreads. So, for all those who plan on getting vaccinated, either as soon as it’s
accessible or sometime down the line, the science is clear: The vaccine is not a sure shot
fix-all to this disease.

Rather, it requires all of us to look past our varying beliefs and toward our common goal
and follow scientific guidelines.

“Let us look at the vaccine as a sign of

relief for the nation”
