CHAPTER 4: PRODUCT SUMMARY

4.1 Product description

The product for this project is known as “portable door stopper”. It have the
dimension of 0.158m × 0.030m × 0.104m. The mass of the door stopper is 0.082kg.
The materials that used for design the door stopper are include rulers, chopstick,
round flit-glider, steel jointer, and cape screw and nut M5. Each of the materials have
their own functions in the door stopper. The rulers was as the body part of the door
stopper, the chopstick was as the stopper, the round flit-glider was used for extra care
and protection on the wall when the stopper is slammed, the steel jointer was used for
connecting the body part of the door stopper, and the cape screw and nut M5 used to
helps for extra support and it is adjustable depending on the variety of door widths.
The total cost of the materials for the door stopper is RM 16.00. The portable door
stopper can used to protects the door from being opened and closed spontaneously,
prevents the formation of dents in the wall from the door handle, preserves the door
leaf and accessories from damage while being hit, and protects the furniture which is
near to the door.
