General Notes
• Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting
instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
• Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling
regulations.
• It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Kia Technician.
• Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
• Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable
automotive rust inhibitor.
• Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Safety Notes
• Check that all work practices comply with safety standards.
• Please wear appropriate clothing and use safety equipment.

Step 1
Important
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when
removing vehicle components.

• Remove the luggage compartment floor (1).

• Remove the two clips from the boot hatch trim (2).
• Remove the luggage compartment hatch trim (3).

Tools Used
• Trim Removal Tool

Step 2
Tools Used
• Remove the single bolt (1) located at the front of the luggage
compartment.

Tools Used
• Ratchet & 14mm Socket

Step 3
• Dislodge the rear seat cushion (1).
• Disconnect the connector on the underside of the rear seat
cushion.
• Remove the rear seat cushion (1).

Step 4
Tools Used
• Fold the RHS rear seat back (1) forward.
• Remove the trim piece covering the RHS rear seat back hinge (2).
• Repeat for LHS.

Tools Used
• Trim Removal Tool

Step 5
• Remove the single bolt (1) between the RHS and LHS rear seat
backs.
• Remove the RHS rear seat back (2).
• Remove the LHS rear seat back (3).

Tools Used
• Ratchet & 14mm Socket

Step 6
• Dislodge the LHS rear door rubber seal.
• Remove the screw.
• Remove the door sill trim (A).

Tools Used
• Trim Removal Tool
• Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step 7
Tools Used
• Remove the RHS rear seat belt strap securing bolt (1).
• Remove the single phillips head screw (2).
• Repeat for LHS.

Tools Used
• Ratchet and 10mm Socket
• Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step 8
• Dislodge the tailgate opening rubber seal.
• Remove the three phillips head screws (1).
• Dislodge and remove the RHS Luggage Trim (3).
• Repeat for LHS.
• Discard the removed RHS and LHS Luggage Trims.

Tools Used
• Trim Removal Tool
• Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step 9
• Fit the supplied RHS Luggage Trim.
• Fit the three phillips head screws (removed in Step 8).
• Repeat for LHS with the supplied LHS Luggage Trim.

Tools Used
• Philips Head Screwdriver

Step 10

• Fit the supplied Cargo Area Cover.

Step 11

• Refit all removed parts and secure all fasteners to Workshop

Manual torque specifications.

Tools Used
• Ratchet and 14mm & 10mm Sockets
• Torque Wrench
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
