Abstract:
Relying continuously on non-
renewable resources result in the exhaust
of these sources in an average of 100–150
years. Furthermore,  large amounts of
fossil fuel consumption increase the
CO 2 concentrations in the atmosphere,
which raises serious environmental
concerns.
Wind can become the most
viable form of alternative energy,
provided certain barriers are expected to be
overcome. For example, there are some
indications that large-scale wind farms can
cause high levels of bird and bat mortality,
large turbines and wind blades have been
known to have a negative impact on local
aesthetics. These issues are leading to
innovative solutions like Bladeless wind
turbine that generates electricity without
the need of rotating blades.
This new technology seeks to
overcome issues related to traditional wind
turbines such as maintenance, noise,
environmental impact and visual aspects.
In this presentation, the working of
bladeless windmill ,advantages,
disadvantages and applications, will be
discussed.
