Aborygens

Kamila Pacuła
Origins
• Humans are assumed to have
arrived in Northern Australia through
primitive boats from Asia.

• According to one idea, the early

migrants left Africa around 70,000
years ago, making Aboriginal
Australians the world's oldest
human community outside of Africa.
Looks
• According to a new study from Stanford University School of
Medicine, the regular incidence of blond hair among the Solomon
Islands' dark-skinned indigenous people is attributable to a
domestic genetic mutation separate from the gene that causes
blond hair in Europeans.

• Because they were white enough and eager to come, many

immigrants from the Baltic republics were transported to Australia
early after WWII. This might explain why there are so many people
with blonde hair and blue eyes in Australia.
’’Hello’’

• Kaya, which means hello in the Noongar language, is one of the

most well-known Aboriginal greetings. Palya is a Pintupi language
greeting, similar to how two friends could say hello in English,
whereas Yaama is a Gamilaraay language greeting used in
Northern NSW.
The richest family
The Smorgon Family

• With $2.7 billion, the Smorgon family, who built their fortune in steel,
remains Australia's wealthiest family, a position they have
maintained for seven years.
The richest aborgen

Andrew Forrest AO
• According to the Financial Review 2021 Rich List, Forrest is the
second richest Australian, with a net worth of A$27.25 billion.
What is the oldest culture in the world?

• An astonishing DNA analysis has discovered evidence of a single

human migration out of Africa, confirming that Aboriginal
Australians are the oldest civilisation on the planet.
Culture

• Indigenous culture is made up of five interwoven elements: land,

family, law, ceremonial, and language.

• People's sense of identity and belonging, which gives meaning and

purpose to their life, suffers when they are divorced from culture.
What are Aboriginal beliefs?

• According to Eddie Kneebone, an Aboriginal person's soul or spirit

"continues on after our bodily body has left due death.”

• An Aboriginal person's spirit returns to the Dreamtime after death,

where it will reincarnate as a human, an animal, a plant, or a rock.
Uluru is the Aboriginal word for
Ayers Rock.

Uluru is a Yankunytjatjara term that

means "red rock." The Aboriginal
people who live on the territory
where Ayers Rock is located are
known as Yankunytjatjara. Uluru is
not just the name of Ayers Rock,
but also of the surrounding land.
Ulurulu
• Since the beginning, it has
been a significant milestone for
Aboriginal people. During the
Dreaming, ancestral creatures
are supposed to have shaped
the natural landmark. Uluru's
various caverns and fissures,
according to local Aboriginal
people, were all produced as a
result of ancestor entities' acts
in the Dreaming.
Conflict of Aborygens

• Despite the findings and recommendations of a national

commission in 1991, more than 400 Aboriginal people have died in
detention, either in jails or during police detention, during the last
three decades. Many people have died in mysterious
circumstances, some as a result of neglect or a lack of medical
attention. No one has been found guilty of any of the fatalities.
• The Stolen Generations were a group of children
who were taken from their homes and family, and
their pain and loss is still felt by many Aboriginal
families today.
This is not in the past for us, we feel the impact and the legacy of
colonisation every single day... particularly in the justice system,".
