REFLECTIVE JOURNAL NO. 3

Name: Harry Surigao BSED TLE 4A

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and
become more, you are a leader."
-John Quincy Adams

School principals don’t just oversee the day-to-day functions of schools and
deal with unruly students. They provide leadership in times of crisis and lay
out optimistic visions for the future of the educational institutions they serve.
Becoming a school principal isn’t easy. You’ll have plenty of competition
because it’s a well-compensated, prestigious position. But if you’re ambitious
and truly believe in the importance of education, it’s a career path you should
seriously consider.
A school principal must highly visible, the must be seen, the principal must
mingle with his/her staff and teachers, must reach out to the students if they
have any concerns with regards the school, the principal must accept ideas
from his/her colleagues, must not be a bossy type of leader, see the interest of
the school than his personal interest.
A principal must empower/uplift his/her colleagues that they can do things
accordingly.
As the quotes says that if your actions inspire others then for sure your
colleagues will also be inspired to do their tasks given. And by that qualities
and attributes you are perfect for that position.
