The WPA's 4th Global Meeting on Spirituality and Mental Health was held in Jerusalem in December 2019, bringing together hundreds of professionals from 35 countries. Presentations highlighted research from around the world exploring the intersection between spirituality and psychiatry. Talks explored how spiritual or mystical experiences may help conditions like depression. The conference also showed how various hospitals and programs internationally are incorporating spiritual care and practices to help patients. The organizing committee will consider nominations for the 2020 conference in Bangkok.
