1 Hierarchy of International/National Regulatory Authorities:


1.1 International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO):

The International Civil Aviation Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It changes the
principles and techniques of international air navigation and fosters the planning and development of international
air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth. Its organizational Structure/Hierarchy is as follows:

1.2 EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency):

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency is an agency of the European Union with responsibility for civil
aviation safety. It carries out certification, regulation and standardization and also performs investigation and
monitoring. Its organizational Structure/Hierarchy is as follows:

1.3 Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA):

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority is a public sector autonomous body under the administrative control of the
Secretary to the Government of Pakistan for Aviation, which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation
in Pakistan. Its organizational Structure/Hierarchy is as follows:

1.4 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the agency of the United States Department of Transportation
responsible for the regulation and oversight of civil aviation within the U.S., as well as operation and development
of the National Airspace System. Its primary mission is to ensure safety of civil aviation. It is considered as one
of the largest modern transportation operating in the United States with the tendency and authority to regulate all
aspects of civil aviation in that specific region. Its organizational Structure/Hierarchy is as follows:
