REPORT
We learnt a lot in Analog Electronics circuits-1 (EC2001). The following below is what we came
know to know in our course. By the end of this course we were able to-

 Design Biasing circuits using BJTs and FETs and analyze their stability.
 Analyze amplifier circuits using BJTs and FETs with the help of their small signal model
and step response method.
 Design and analyze compound circuit configurations used in operational amplifiers with
BJTs and FETs.
 Differentiate between different negative feedback and sinusoidal oscillators.
 Analyze different types of power amplifier circuits using BJTs

In detail the different things learnt in different chapters are given below.

1. Transistor Biasing Circuit: In this unit we learnt about the different biasing of BJT
that includes self-bias and voltage divider bias along with output characteristics curve
and derivation of stability factor of First order , Second order , Third order. Then we
got to know about the self bias and voltage divider biasing for FET. We also came to
know about the bias compensation technique.

2. Small Signal Analysis Of BJT: In this unit we came to know about the hybrid model
of transistor. Then we came to know about the Graphical determination of h-
parameters and conversion formulas for the parameters that includes CE in terms of
CB h parameters vice-versa and CE in terms of CC h parameters and vice-versa. Then
we studied about the low frequency small signal signal analysis of CE, CB, and CC
configuration without feedback. We also learnt about the linear analysis of Transistor
Amplifiers using simplified model.

3. Small Signal Model and Analysis of FETs: In this unit we came to know about the
analysis of JFET CS and CD configuration. Then we came to know about the analysis
of enhancement and depletion MOSFETS.

4. BJT And FET Frequency Response: In this unit we came to know about the
Classification of Amplifiers and Distortion in amplifiers. We also came to know about
the step response of amplifier, band pass of cascade stages, miller effect capacitance,
high frequency modelling of BJT and FET amplifiers, analysis of BJT and FET
amplifiers using high frequency model

5. Compound Configurations: In this unit we came to know about the DC and AC

analysis of Differential Amplifier, Current mirror circuit , Level translator, Cascade and
Cascode connection, Darlington Connection.

6. Feedback And Oscillator Circuit: In this unit we came to know about the feedback
concept and feedback Amplifier topologies, general characteristics of negative
feedback amplifier, transfer gain with feedback. We also got to know about the Input
and Output resistance of negative feedback. We also learnt about the Fourth types of
oscillator like Sinusoidal Oscillator, LC Oscillator, RC Phase Shift Oscillator and
Crystal Oscillator

7. Power Amplifier: In this unit we came to know about the definition of Class A , Class
B, Class C amplifier along with Distortion Analysis. We also came to know about the
Analysis of push pull amplifier, conversion efficiency of Power amplifiers. At the end
we got to know about the series fed and transformer coupled power Amplifiers.
