Singh examined a study on impact of family environments on academic

achievement on secondary school science students. The objectives of the study were to

study the relationship of academic achievement of secondary school student with family

environments and its dimension as perceived by students and as perceived by the

parents and to study the impact of family environment on academic achievement of

secondary school; in student in science subjects. The tools used in study were family

environment scale for student; family environment scale for parents and socio

economics status scale were developed by the researcher.

Soni, A. R. investigated to study of the relationship between academic

achievement motivation and home environment among standard 10 th pupils. The main

objective of the study was to find relationship between academic motivation and home

environment among standard 10 th pupils the sample of the study 155 study student from

Palapurtaluka. The stratified random sampling technique was used to have urban and

rural representation. Four school were selected though simple random sampling

technique. Ex-post facto correlation method was used to analyse the data. The study

found that significant relationship exists between the pupil’s scores in academic

achievement and six home environment factors

Bower and Griffin used the Epstein model as a strategy to study parental involvement
in a high poverty, high minority elementary school. This study involves a student body of
