Hypothesis

This study hypothesizes that there is no significant relationship between parental

involvement and academic performance of students.

Significance of the Study

This study aimed to determine the Impact of Parental Involvement in Academic

Performance of Grade 12 GAS Students in San Agustin Integrated School for Academic

Year 2020-2021. Specifically, this research study may prove useful to the following

individuals who are concerned with learner’s holistic development.

Students. This research may help them to understand the situations and be able

to adjust on circumstances that may affect their academic performance.

Teachers. The study may heighten the awareness of the teacher about the

factors of the poor performance of his/her class and be able to design appropriate

solutions to help the students improve their academic performance.

Parents. The result of the study may serve as the tool for them to know their

duties and responsibilities towards their children who are attending to school. It may

heighten their awareness that their actions may possibly affect their children in all

aspects.

School Administrators. The results of this study may encourage administrator

and supervisors to help teachers in guiding their students as well as parents to be

further aware about the problems being encountered by their students.
