[s.th] = something
[s.o] = someone
[s.wh] = somewhere
TOPIC 1. HOMETOWN
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
1. Get bogged down in/with [s.th] = I am up to the ears in [s.th]: Bận ngập mặt trong …
2. Pay a visit to [s.o/s.wh]: visit nhưng hay hơn vì là collocation
4. Off the beaten track: nơi hẻo lánh, vắng người
5. Tranquil = Peaceful
6. Reasonably priced = Average = Reasonable
PART 1.
A quiet place is always a place where I can find my inner peace. So today I am
WHAT gonna tell you a tranquil place that I often go to and it is my grandparents’
hometown.
My grandparents’ hometown is a countryside in ………… province, located in the
WHERE
North of Vietnam.
Whenever I have free time, I usually go back to pay a visit my grandparents and
WHEN connect to nature, you know I am living in a metropolis – a hectic city – Ho Chi
Minh.
In this place, there are no cars horns, no companies or crowded people, you
HOW name it. But you can find breathtaking views of mountains or poetic rivers
where you can get a sense of tranquility.
I suppose if I had to answer why I am really into this place; I would say that just
because it is my hometown and you know home sweet home. Another reason
is that I consider myself as an introverted person and a nature geek as well. So,
WHY
whenever I am in nerve-racking time for study, I often go somewhere off the
beaten track like my hometown to let my hair down as well as recharge my
battery.
PART 3.
After a bit of thought, I can come up with some reasons why people flock into the cities
rather than the rural areas. The most apparent reason would be that the cities offer
more employment opportunities as well as better education, many hope to find decent
jobs or enroll in prestigious/top-ranked colleges, which will ensure them a brighter
future. In addition, urban areas tend to provide top-notch facilities and services such as
health care, cinemas or shopping malls, which make cities ideal to the young.
After a bit of thought, I think that businesses should be moved / resided to surrounding
areas such as suburbs, or rural areas. First, too many factories and companies in the city
will seriously pollute the air due to the amount of carbon released into the air, which
will affect people's health. Second, it is necessary to allocate factories and businesses in
the vicinity to provide employment opportunities for the people there, which also helps
to avoid overcrowding in some large cities today.
Because my home is quite/relatively poor and small (=underdeveloped), so, the cost of
living here is extremely cheap as chips for all products from food, fruits to vegetables.
However, the salary of the locals is very low as well since we do not have much
investments from the government.
As I told you, it is a small village, so the pace of life here is very slow, and the atmosphere
is peaceful/tranquil and gentle. You will never see the busiest cars/the crowded line of
cars like in the city, you, even, will hear to birds singing in the morning.
As I told you, this place is a modern urban area, so the pace of life is very fast, hustle
and bustle/hectic. Sometimes, it drives you crazy because of being sandwiched by
traffic jams.
I can confidently tell you that, my hometown is beautiful. It is famous as = has gained a
reputation for a tourist destination. This is a long, blue and stunning coast. In addition,
seafood is also a highlight for my hometown.
I am sorry to say that my hometown is not famous for any particular traits/special
features. Because it is quite poor/less developed, and we only work in agriculture/do
farming to earn a living. We even do not have natural beauty or historical relics.
My hometown is famous for ..................... I'm sure, when you come, you will love it at
first sight.
Oh, I have been living here for over 20 years. I have no intention of relocating. For me,
this place is so great when I live close to my family and, of course, it has become my
home sweet home/the place where my heart is.
I live in a city, so the local jobs are very diverse/various such as jobs from offices,
factories, companies, schools, tourism and so on. Even so, we have many foreign
companies coming and investing in my city, so the labor network is very wide.
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Today I am going to tell you about a business that I would like to run in coming
WHAT
time – it is a coffee shop.
The coffee shop will be located near the complex/bustling areas (like schools,
WHERE hospitals, companies) simply because I want to have target customers like
(workers, students, white and blue collars, or foreigners, you name it)
When it comes to staff, I reckon that I need some waiters who can give me a
hand in taking orders, cleaning or serving, some baristas to make the best drinks
for customers.
HOW Speaking of the decoration: it will be nice in modern but comfy and cozy
atmosphere. It will be more perfect to have a small garden, you see, my
customers will have fresh air and easily connect to nature, yup, forget the hectic
life for a while.
Taking about the reasons why I want to make this dream come true. First, I
consider myself as a coffee lover, so I hope to bring the best and tasty coffee to
WHY everyone, especially traditional coffee in Vietnam. The second thing is that this
industry is lucrative, I mean it requires low investment and fast recovery.
Believe it or not, If I run it will, I can make a killing from my own business.
PART 3.
After a bit of thought, I suppose doctor and teacher are the two most noble jobs in
Vietnamese society. It is obvious that doctors can save people lives while teachers can
educate people, so they command a lot of respect from others. As an in-depth view into
the job of teaching, this is a profession directly contributing to the improvement of a
nation. A decent educational system will create a strong workforce that drives the
economy as well as decrease crime rates. Nevertheless, I also believe that all professions
are equally important and should be appreciated regardless.
From my observation, I suppose that job-hopping has been gaining popularity in recent
years. There are two notable reasons for this. First, some are just bored to death by their
current jobs. Or they are unsatisfied with the nature their employments, their salaries,
or their workplaces, therefore they wish to hop in hope of new breakthroughs. Second,
the considerable growth in state-of-the-art technology tends to make people working
skills obsolete, forcing many of them to rotate jobs frequently for not being able to cope
with the advancement of technology, especially the senior workers.
I think that is my dream that I have been dreaming it for a long time. In the future, I want
to own a business, specializing in …… I think it will be interesting and challenging when
I am self-employed. But I am willing to make my dream come true.
I would say that maybe I will pursue a course related to Applied Computing/ Applied
Informatics. I think today computers and technology are two key fields in all areas, so
when I master/am proficient in/am good at computer skills, I think this is likely to bring
me many advantages in working
I think, I will take up a yoga course. I like the beautiful movements of this sport. Also,
maybe I feel I am becoming softer and more flexible after class.
Question 4. What are difficulties you have in your work? (2nd approach)

TOPIC 3. SPORTS
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Swimming is my forte. I think I have a knack for it. I am good at it when I was a child =
when I was a lass/lad.
CAN’T
Oh no, swimming is not my forte. I don’t think I have a knack for it. I have a fear of water,
you see.
I often go swimming in summertime, especially when it’s scorching hot, I sweat buckets,
and I am going to a swimming pool near my house for A DIP. It is really a blast!
PART 2. SPORTS
3 years ago, my family took a trip to Nha Trang to let off some steam after the
nerve-racking time of work. You see, Nha Trang has gained a reputation for a
WHERE pristine beach in Vietnam. At first, we took part in many water sports and
& enjoyed the activities on the beach. Then we went swimming. To tell you the
WHEN truth, my little sister (at the time, 10 years old) was sad and was sitting on the
sand with a blue face because she couldn’t swim. She had a fear of water. I
decided to teach her this skill.
I taught her how to warm up before going swimming, how to breathe in the
right way, how to keep calm, take a deep breath before jumping into water.
At first, she screamed and cried but finally, with my patience and
HOW encouragement, she overcame the fear and started swimming. You see, I then
taught her some basic swimming strokes (butterfly stroke, backstroke). When
she learnt the ropes, she became keen on this kind of sport. I am very proud of
her for that.
PART 3.
PRO VOCABULARY
--
Yes, we definitely should. Encouraging them to partake in sports will do wonders for
them physically as well as mentally. Physically, sport will benefit a kid’s body, especially
the digestive system which helps with their general development. Mentally, a child who
does sports will be more active and have a positive mindset. Some kids today are couch
potatoes with sedentary lifestyle, so encouraging them to play sports is an excellent
solution.
Well I suppose, from certain perspectives, sports and working skills are quite similar. For
instance, team-working and interpersonal skills in outdoor sports like volleyball, football
share some resemblances with those we use in a working group. The point is to cooperate
with others to produce the best result. Nevertheless, there are a lot of working skills that
have nothing to do with sports, such as technological or calculation expertise, so they are
incompatible.
Question 2. Are there any sports you want to try in the future?
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Question 4. If you were a movie director, what kinds of movies would you like to make?
Oh, I’ve never thought about this before. To be honest, I don’t have a knack for writing, even
writing a book or writing movie plots. But If I were a movie director, I would make a movie
about love – a kinda romantic film because I am a diehard fan of romance.
PART 2. TV SHOW
DESCRIBE A TV SHOW
PART 3.
I wouldn’t think so. The strategy has some undeniable effects yes, for example it can
definitely gain popularity at the beginning, because you know, the actors are well-known
who have a huge number of loyal fans. But if the content of the movie is bad then, I
wouldn’t think it could become a success even though it has famous stars in it. There
have been so many examples of movies that have actors with Oscar awards but still fail
terribly due to bad storytelling.
It is all down to everyone’s personal preference really. My father loves watching old
movies, but my grandfather loves modern action movies instead. But from what I can
see, the vast majority of people would want something that are similar to them to some
degree. This is especially true with older people since they tend to hate new things.
TOPIC 5. GIFTS
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
There are 2 ways to answer this question, but you need to define what it is first:
• Sentimental gifts: Món quà tinh thần
Sentimental gifts can be kept in long time. They remind us about givers/senders
• Monetary gifts: Món quà vật chất
Monetary gifts can be used immediately. They are practical/They are a lifesaver
Question 2. Did you ever receive a gift that you didn’t like? What did you do after that?
There are 2 ways to answer this question, but you need to define what it is first:
• You keep it/them as souvenirs: Vẫn giữ như một món đồ lưu niệm
• Or, you give it/them to charity: Mang đi đóng góp cho từ thiện
If my memory serves me right, 2 years ago, one of my friends gave me a red shirt, but I was
not into it at all. Red is not my cup of tea, you know. So, I decided to give it to my brother/to
charity for someone else who are in need.
PART 2. A GIFT
WHEN On my last birthday I received a big amount of money from my uncle, Thanh.
& On that day, I threw a small party at home and invited some friends and
WHERE relatives to come. We had a good time there. It is really a blast!
People brought with them sentimental values such as flowers, cards or wine
rather than monetary values. But only my uncle gave me an envelope with
HOW money inside. I was too shy to get that money, but my uncle understood that I
was broke and that time I had to tighten my belt for daily stuff such as foods
and for rents. So, I was so grateful for his kindness, actually.
To me, my uncle is more than an uncle, but a father a friend who is always there
END for me at my worst, at my best, especially when I was in deep water at that
time.
PART 3.
On average, handmade gifts in Vietnam are generally more expensive than the same
items but made from an industrial line. Simply because, you know, hand-crafted items
always take more time and effort to complete, hence it is a given that they are more
costly.
Question 2. How to choose a gift for people who already have a lot of things?
If a person really has that many things or someone who was born with a silver spoon in
their mouth and no gift could be meaningful to them anymore then I may not want to
give him physical presents but rather I could do something meaningful for that person
instead for example I could take him out for a drink and pay for it or do things similar to
that.
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Concentration is my kinda thing. When you are asking me about something that
helps me stay focus effectively, you probably guess that I am talking about
WHAT
music, a picture or an app. However, for me, it is a technique in yoga called
Meditation.
To be more specific, you may know that yoga involves in stretching actions, but
Meditation involves in regulating your breath. You don’t need to go to pagodas
or mountains to do this, you can do this skill anywhere, anytime you can. All the
HOW
thing you need is focusing on your breath and your world, forget about the
surrounding things for a while, then you can keep working effortlessly without
worrying about anything else. But it takes years to master to tell you the truth.
Talking about the reasons why I am really into this technique. As I told you, I am
easily distracted by noises, phone calls, ring bell, so to stay calm and stay focus,
WHY I often found a clutter–free environment to work in the past. But since the day
I knew about Meditation, it helps me boost my productivity effectively. Besides,
if you practice this skill regularly, it can do wonders for your health.
PART 3.
I think, doctors specially surgeons require a high concentration at work. Other jobs are
like drivers as they have to always concentrate on the traffic. The reason for this is that
the focus will minimize the risks of work.
There are multiple distractions which affect me a lot. The biggest one is my smartphone
which keeps buzzing constantly and takes my attention away from studies/work. The
noise from my neighbors also caused my distraction. I could not stand the bickering of
neighbors or the sound of tools/appliances they use to repair houses or cars.
TOPIC 7. TRAVEL/LANSCAPES
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
PART 2. LANSCAPES
DESCRIBE A LANSCAPE
WHAT I’m gonna tell you about my favorite place. That is Phu Quoc island.
You know, Phu Quoc island, located in the south of Vietnam, and it has gained
a reputation for being a paradise of resorts or the most pristine and untouched
WHERE
beach in Vietnam. And what’s more, it is a perfect place for travelling and
photography.
Several months ago, my friend took a trip there and then introduced me. She
told me that it is a must-travel place. Then I googled and searched for further
information on the internet about accommodation, foods, and places of
WHEN
interest. I was quite excited to visit this attraction. From where I am living now,
it is far way around 2000 kilometers and of course, it takes us around 2 hours
to get there.
You know there are many reasons why I love this place so much. Firstly, it is
incredibly beautiful with thousands of things to explore, especially undersea
world. I went for a dip = went swimming and immersed myself in water and I
HOW experienced the memorable swimming to see magnificent coral and the
magical marine life. I also took a camera with me to capture the stunning,
breathtaking natural sceneries, the painted sunset. Other than that, how
amazing it was when tasting local cuisines as well as delicious seafood.
All of things are amazing and worth trying. Secondly, I do a nine-to-five grind,
sometimes, it is very boring. But sometimes, I get exhausted by somethings like
WHY
deadlines or customers. So, travelling to this place, I could breathe fresh air to
unwind or just get my thought centered.
PART 3.
After a bit of thought, I can point to the main reason why people prefer natural
landscapes over the urban jungles is that they are too familiar with the concrete
constructions like office buildings, schools or factories. Therefore, they would love a
retreat to open spaces like the woods or the beaches for a change. In addition,
untouched scenery always makes people feel fresh and relaxing. Studies suggest that
the green and blue color tend to chill people out.
Ecotourism has been gaining in popularity in recent years. Nevertheless, it is not always
the most iconic or attractive due to some limitations. First, there have only been a few
reserves in Viet Nam that open for business, such as the Cuc Phuong National Park,
therefore tourists, especially local ones, would opt for other destinations. However, I do
fancy this type of travelling because it gives people the precious chance to admire the
beauty of nature, which will enhance their appreciation for the environment.
TOPIC 8. FOODS
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
1. Sell like a hot cake: (idiom): Bán đắt như tôm tươi
2. Make [s.o]’s mouth watering: (idiom): Làm cho ai đó thèm chảy nước bọt
3. Burst into tears: (collocation): Bật khóc
PART 1.
PART 2. FOODS
It was on my mom’s 50th birthday – a milestone of her life, and I wanna make
WHERE something special to show my affection to her. I decided to make sushi – coz
& she is a real sucker for sushi – one of Japanese cuisines and delicacies. Of
When course, I could take her to her go-to restaurant to enjoy this food, as I told you,
money doesn't matter but the thought that counts.
When I presented this gift for her, she was moved and even she burst into tears,
she said that how a clumsy girl/boy like me can do that. She was really really
WHY happy for that, and she loved this gift so much. Her compliments actually made
me over the moon. I realized that sentimental gifts bring a lot of values to
senders.
PART 3.
Question 1. What is the most important factor contributing to the success of a restaurant?
There are various factors contributing to the success of a restaurant. The most notable
of which is gourmet food. Without doubt, customers are willing to revisit/ pay a second
visit if they are served fresh and delicious meals. Second, good service is just as
important. Customers love professional and courteous waiters who are light on their
feet. Nevertheless, the factor I want to emphasize on is location. From my observation,
a restaurant’s venue often decides its income. Situated in a buzzing neighborhood or
near a tourist attraction, it will sell like a hot cake despite its quality not being the best
or even just mediocre. You can’t expect to pull it off in the middle of nowhere with good
food alone, right?
Foreign foods restaurants are mushrooming in Viet Nam, especially in urban areas. We
have a variety of culinary choices like Japanese, Korean, or even Mexican. It is a real
chance to have a taste of dishes around the world without physical travel. Nevertheless,
the proliferation of foreign foods has been overshadowing our national specialties, for
many won’t continue to cook traditional dishes. Sad but true.
TOPIC 9. BUILDINGS
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Question 3. Are there anything from your house you want to change?
Actually, I am living on a bustling street as I told you, so the pace of life is very noisy. If I had a
chance, I would like to move to a quieter place in coming time where I can live in a clutter-free
environment.
DESCRIBE A BUILDING
WHERE If my memory serves me right, I first went there 2 years ago, and it left a very
& strong impression in my mind. Bitexco Tower is located on a bustling street –
When Dong Khoi street, Ho Chi Minh city.
I have no idea about architecture, to be completely honest with you. I just tell
you some descriptions about it. It was erected in the shape of Lotus- a national
flower of Vietnam, and it has a state-of-the-art design. What strikes me the
HOW
most is that the helipad was built on the 50th floor of this high building, and if
you want to catch breathtaking views at night, you can drop by the coffee house
on 52nd floor of this building. It never lets you down for the beauty it offers.
There are some reasons why I mention to Bitexco Tower. First, I suppose it is a
must-travel place for everyone, not only for its unique beauty but also for its
recreational purposes. Bitexco Tower is famous for the largest commercial
WHY
center around Ho Chi Minh where you can satisfy your shopping demands,
especially if you always set your heart on hunting high-end items. Second, if you
are a real sucker for photography, don't ever miss this place.
PART 3.
Question 1. How does the climate of a place affect the kind of buildings that are built
there?
Oh, ain’t this a real puzzle? I am not all that proficient in the topic of climate change as
well as architecture design. With the somewhat limited knowledge of mine, if the
climate is hot, then the builders will construct the buildings to stay as cool as possible.
But if you are in a cold climate then you might find double insulation on the windows,
or the houses will be built to retain heat as much as possible. It’s quite common to see
a house with a bunch of open porches and verandas in a hot climate. And probably every
room will have a hole for an air conditioning vent. But colder climates will most likely
have central heating.
Question 2. In your opinion, should cities have many high-rise buildings or traditional
houses?
I think that skyscrapers are inevitable in the cities due to the increasing shortage of living
space. To cope with such condition, they need to build high-rises to accommodate all
the inhabitants. In addition, promoting high-rise buildings will free a lot of land for public
facilities like hospitals, schools, office buildings and factories to address the needs of the
people.
HIGHLIGHT VOCABULARY
PART 1.
Question 3. Are there anything from your house you want to change?
> NO
Oh, actually no. I had tried several times, but I think I do not have a knack for it. It is out of
question. But I am really into listening to guitar or piano sounds.
> YES

Question 1. What might be the best age to start learning to play a musical instrument?
In my view starting to learn when you are young is the best option, you know the
younger, the better. Children's minds are so impressionable when they are young, they
retain information and soak it up like a sponge. Therefore, they can develop their
musical skills and see if they have a talent for it. if you start learning later in life, it will
probably be more difficult to find the time, to have lessons and to practice.
I think that skyscrapers are inevitable in the cities due to the increasing shortage of living
space. To cope with such condition, they need to build high-rises to accommodate all
the inhabitants. In addition, promoting high-rise buildings will free a lot of land for public
facilities like hospitals, schools, office buildings and factories to address the needs of the
people.

and a very natural complexion. He is not well-built but has a slim body. His look

I am no exception.
For me, Son Tung is also acclaimed for one of the most fashionable singers

I am not sure about the reasons why I am talking about him because I have seen

PART 3.
Question 1. What types of people who are successful in the society where you live?
There are a lot of gray areas in defining success of a person, nevertheless, in Viet Nam,
if you have one of the followings, you will be viewed as a successful person and earn
respect from others. First, you are wealthy. Either you are born with a silver spoon in
your mouth or work your way up the ladder, if you have real estate and fancy rides, then
you are successful. Second, you are academically adept. If you have esteemed degrees,
Master’s or PhD, you are set for great positions in the Vietnamese society, which could
earn you a fortune or reputation.
I do not believe that intelligence is a virtue that goes hand in hand with selfishness.
Though it is true that smart people tend to be more secretive and sterner, they are also
known to be more generous and kinder. For instance, many scientists, after inventing or
discovering ground-breaking results, have publicly shared them with the world, free of
charge. As I recall, when Volvo invented the “three-point seat belt”, they allow other car
manufacturers to use their design to save more lives instead of making money from it.

There are times when I am down, / I get down in the dump I often listen to him over and

There are some leaders who are great because of their charisma while others are famous
for their intelligence. Steve Jobs is a perfect example for both.
The reason why he is well-known in my country is that Ho Chi Minh devoted his life to our
nation. If he had not been born in Vietnam, our country could have been invaded by other
countries. I admire him for a number of reasons. Firstly, President Ho was a very determined
man. He showed his determination at a very young age when he decided to travel to France
to obtain knowledge, hoping to find a way to rescue the nation. During his journey, he did
various jobs to survive despite many difficulties. Being inspired by him, I have been working
very hard to fulfill my dream until I can achieve it. Secondly, I knew that Uncle Ho was very
good at foreign languages, he could speak fluently fifteen languages. In fact, I have been
studying English for ages, but I haven't been satisfied with my English. I think this is a good
opportunity to learn his experiences to improve my English level.
| EXAMPLE 2
ALBERT EINSTEIN
Besides his achievements, I came across a biography of Einstein on the internet and these
are the reasons why I admire him a lot. His childhood was not carefree as I thought. I was
totally impressed by his perseverance and dedication with science despite his
communication problems at a very young age. Furthermore, I love how Albert Einstein lived
and worked with passion and enthusiasm all his life, which is a shining example for me to
follow. Albert was hunted by the Nazi for most of his adulthood, yet he never abandoned his
love for science and kept working even when he was running to protect his life. In other
words, he inspired me to pursue my goals and dreams with all I got despite any upcoming
difficulties.

Question 1. Do you think an old person can always give good advice to a teenager?
Well I suppose that it really depends on what the advice is about and how experienced
that old person is. But most of the time, old people have lived and experienced more
events than youngsters. If the circumstances are similar, an old person can certainly give
excellent advice to help young people avoid troubles. But since different generation has
distinctive set of problems, I am sure that some advice may not work properly
Certainly, the seniors can teach grandchildren how to live their life meaningfully, just
like what my uncle does to me, share experience, teach children how to behave in a
good manner etcetera… But of course, it may not be effective because of the age gap
and huge difference between generations. We are talking about a difference of around
50 years. So many of the lessons may be outdated or irrelevant to the children.

Question 1. Do you think an old person can always give good advice to a teenager?
Women are usually considered creatures of beauty, which may explain why they love
shopping and enjoy lavish costumes to a considerable degree. First and foremost, outfits
are visual indicators of personal image and personalities, hence, they want to dress
accordingly. Secondly, shopping is not only for the sake of fashion but also an effective
means of relaxation. In modern society where lots of people are under constant stress
every day, indulging oneself in some serious shopping may help to take the weight off
their mind, despite temporarily. Last but not least, women don’t usually shop for
themselves alone but most of their spending is on family and friends. They relish the
idea of giving gifts or buying nice clothes for their beloved ones, therefore, shopping sits
high on their to-do lists.

Question 1. What kinds of tourists are likely to visit your country in the future?
Well, to be honest, Viet Nam is quite a tourist attraction. Tourists flock to our country more
and more every year. First, we have those who come for the cultural experience. Viet Nam has
a long history embedded with rich cultural values, various historical sites and landmarks. Then
there are those who come for the scenery. Viet Nam is also blessed with magnificent natural
beauty, from imposing ranges of mountain and amazing stone caves to sunny beaches laden
with coconut trees.
Question 2. What do you think are the impacts of tourism in your country?
Well, tourism has great impacts on our society and economy. On the bright side, it brings a
good flow of income, especially for coastal provinces where most residents live in poverty. It
creates thousands of jobs with lucrative pay which help them make a living in their own
hometown. But on the other hand, tourism is infamous for its negative impacts on the local
environment. Irresponsible littering from tourists as well as service providers is the major
issue, along with the tampering with untouched nature for the purpose of tourism.

PART 3.
As a matter of fact, I would say that there are some disappointed services in Vietnam
that you might encounter. In some crowded restaurants, waiters often keep ignoring
customers, and even talk impolitely to them. It’s really shamed to talk about. Online
fraud is another poor service that you might experience unfortunately. Many people,
even me, sometimes place orders on the internet, but the delivered items are often fake
ones or low-quality ones. There are too many websites that use marketing tools to cheat
people by using authentic pictures from authentic stores but then distribute super-poor-
quality items for buyers, which often leads to customers’ frustration.
Question 2. Many people do not make any complaint even they got bad services. Why?
After a bit of thought, I suppose some might find it tolerant with others’ mistakes simply
because they have other things to care about and tend to forget about the bad services
very quickly. Another reason can be cited is that some find it hard to make any complaint
because they don’t want to make others hurt, and they end up with not choosing that
kind of service one more time. However, I don’t think it is a good idea. We should make
complaints and write about specific reviews about bad services, which can help the next
customers very much. That’s why the review posts on every website are always reliable
and trustworthy.

In Vietnam, most students who come from public schools often have good academic

entrance exams, and the other is students were born with silver spoon in their mouth

As a matter of fact, pursing tertiary education is not the best way to achieve success but

become a doctor or a teacher without relevant qualifications or if you are not well-trained
and well-educated. Going to the university is the good way for you to gain a wealth of

online instead of preparing meals at home or place items online instead of going out and
doing shopping for relaxation, all of which make people become inactive and lead a
sedentary lifestyle. Because the schooling fees of private schools in recent years have been
prohibitively expensive.
> What will you do when your item is broken? Will you fix it or alter it with a new one?
When it comes to broken items, I will consider which one I could repair and which one I
would like to replace. Because there are some kinds of electronic devices like phones,
computers, when it was broken or seriously damaged, I find it hard to make it recovery
completely. But I am also a deliberate customer, I always consider about items I would buy
to avoid wasting a great deal of unnecessary money.

> Should government provide citizens > Should government invest in health
with free healthcare system? prevention or health treatment?
It is hard to tell because what I see is people’s health is getting bad nowadays due to
serious pollution and unhealthy foods and the pressure of work. I am living in Ho Chi Minh
city right now, and it is listed as one of the polluted cities around the world due to the
sheer volume of carbon released into the air by a ton of factories and companies
mushrooming every year. From that, people will face with many respiratory diseases such
as lung or skin cancer. Unidentified foods or foods containing excessive amounts of
pesticides also directly lead to the deterioration of people's health. Not to mention that,
people are getting busy with their work, many keep ignoring doing exercises or getting
enough sleep, which also makes their health worse.
To galvanize people towards a healthy lifestyle, it is very imperative for the government to
build more public amenities and facilities, such as parks, swimming pools, stadiums, which
will encourage people to stay away from the sedentary lifestyle or can find a place to do
exercises nearby their house. Besides, officials from the safety and food department must
regularly check the safety of food, the origin of the food, which will ensure everyone
consumes green and clean food.

role of a leader in a group?
I think the role of leader is crucial in Well I suppose a leader should firstly be able to
every aspect of life. Each of us is a understand everybody, he needs to know people
unique individual with different very well, I mean he needs to know how each and
ways to think and do. When put in every person is like, what they want, what they are

everybody to follow. So, I think members of the group how to do things. Other
leaders are there to unite people than that, I think that the leader should also be
and to lead them to success sympathetic so that people are emotionally
together. touched and motivated.
I agree with this to some degree. To me competition is always a good thing. It is similar to
the concept of “natural selection” if you ask me, basically we will be encouraged to strive
for excellence and therefore promote the efficiency or effectiveness of what we do. But of
course, we should not overdo it and make the competition become too fierce. And in that
case, it might become counterproductive and demotivate people instead of encouraging
them.

their kids and themselves. regardless of the gender.
Some reasons can be cited for this emergence of this problem. Many young couples today
decide to give birth late simple because they want to focus on their career, and of course
they will have much more time to devote themselves to their career instead of taking care
of their children all day long. Some opt for having babies late as they would like to have

happiness.

There might be a few differences between a big company and a small company. But I think
the most noticeable one is the number of employees working for each type of companies.
In big company, there are hundreds if not thousands of people whereas the number is only
about 10 or 20 people in a small-scaled company. And this leads to another difference
which is the relationship that you develop with your colleagues. When you work for a big
company, you cannot know everybody but if you work for a small-scaled company, you
