Purpose
To define the process for setting Health and Safety Objectives

Scope
Ultraseal International Group Ltd, Norman Hay Engineering Ltd & Surface Technology Holdings
ltd and subsidiaries companies.

Responsibilities
Health and Safety Management representative

Definitions
Objective – Overall Health and safety management system goal, consistent with the Health
and Safety policy, arising from the facilities significant hazards and risks, Legal and other
Health and Safety management related requirements and stakeholder input.

Target – Detailed performance requirement, quantified where practical, applicable to the

facility or parts thereof, that arises from an objective and that needs to be set and met in
order to achieve the objective.

Procedure
1. The facility will establish and document its objectives and targets based on its significant
hazards and risks, legal and other Health and Safety related requirements and stakeholder
input, with time frames and responsibilities for accomplishment. The objectives and targets
may be documented in the annual strategic plan for the facility.
2. The responsible managers will ensure Health and Safety objectives and targets are set and
periodically reviewed
3. Objectives and targets will be consistent with the Health and Safety policy.
4. The Management team will review the objectives and targets at operations review meetings -
In the event an objective is not being met the management team will either add the resource
to facilitate completion; adjust the timeframe for the achievement of the objective or target or
to modify the objective or target.
5. Objectives and targets for the current year are reviewed & tracked in the operation review
meeting minutes. All annual objectives and targets will be maintained as Health and Safety
records
