TOOL FOR DATA COLLECTION:

Section 1: Will contain the items of demographic characteristics of primipara mothers

consisting of age, education, religion, occupation, income, type of family, geographical
area (urban) & source of information
Section 2: Structured questionnaire will be used to assess the knowledge of primipara
mothers regarding breast feeding technique.
Section 3: Check list will be used to assess the practice of primipara mothers regarding
breast feeding technique.
METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION:
The data will be collected personally. Prior administrative permission will be obtained
from the respective hospital authorities. Subjects will be selected according to the selection
criteria of the study.
 Pre-test and post-test knowledge will be conducted by giving structured questionnaire.
 The breast feeding practice will be checked by observation check list.
