oday we are all meeting here exactly 1 month after we lost a Giant Homoeopath Dr Prafull
Vijayakar.
We meet to actually celebrate his life. We have lost him too early but again we must recognize
that he has achieved in 68 years which others do not achieve even in 100 years.
It is said there are always 2 sides of the coin. Nowhere is it so true as it is today... we lost Prafull on 17-12-
2020 due to CoIvid19 and its aftermath. On the other hand it has been the same lockdown which has freed
us from the shackles of physical meetings and given us this very much alive Virtual Meetings and the Zoom
platforms where hundreds of us can gather to share this tribute function.
The idea was first voiced by Dr Ajit Kulkarni, senior associate editor of NJH. He said NJH as a National
Voice should pay tribute to one who has contributed so much to the science of Homoeopathy and taken it
to a level unheard of before - spread over all continents and taught 1000’s to practice Right True Scientific
Homoeopathy.
The team at NJH- one of the most innovative close knit and hard-working and altruistic team I have ever
had the good fortune to know and head - immediately agreed. Dr Shobha Shah- the bright spark amongst
us who worked closely with Vijayakar’s method and has learnt to integrate ICR-Vijayakar and HHF - an
amazing feat… immediately took it upon herself to co-ordinate this whole effort which was by no means
an easy task to bring together: A grief stricken family, the Predictive team, the NJH team and the world
Homeopaths all together on ONE platform – a never before effort - but she has done a marvelous job...
almost flawless...
Thanks to the co-operation of all the people In this audience and especially our speakers, we had an
amazing insight into the Man who was Prafull Vijayakar.
I hope that when all of us leave this meet and this Memorial Book release, we will leave enriched, inspired
and rededicated to Homoeopathy - the great science which has still not earned its rightful place in the
Medical world and needs effort from all of us to reach there.
By February we will also release the e-copy of the NJH’s Memorial Book of Prafull Vijayakar. All of you who
have registered will get a complimentary e-copy.
Today in this same month of January 13/1/1995 to be precise I cannot help but remember my mother Dr
Sarla Sonawala, the founder of NJH, the favourite teacher of Prafull, who also died at 68 exactly but in
1995. I am sure she will be very glad to have the company of Prafull up there from where they will now
eternally watch over us all. Today, I also remember my teacher Dr ML Dhawale who also left us toe early

he sad and untimely demise of Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, a legend, a Lion of Homoeopathy, is an
immense and irreplaceable loss to Homoeopathy.
I first got an opportunity to learn from him in 2014-15 at the SCPH advanced course designed
by Predictive Homoeopathy, where my batch mates were all Senior doctors with 20yrs plus
practice.. I feel blessed to have learnt Homoeopathy from him.
He was a great teacher, approachable, always smiling and ready to solve queries /doubts of learners.
His passion to teach Homoeopathy was so intense that he continued giving webinars till he felt unwell.
Thousands attended. He would take lectures and prepare PPTs even for answering questions. He would
be so engrossed, that he took NO break in 3 hr-webinar.
One friend commented on hearing news of his demise, “He will be reborn as a Homoeopath “ as his passion
for Homoeopathy was intense.
In his Hope for Hopeless camps, students always surrounded him to learn from him. How beautifully he
would connect pathology directly to metaphors, conflict areas of patients and reach the core of patients in
the shortest time. He considered higher levels of mentals (delusions), characteristic generals and connected
all the dots to treat deep pathologies with fantastic results.
Seeing this, we got the courage to accept similar cases. Dr Prafull sir said- “when Homoeopathy has power
to treat deep genetic pathologies, why should we restrict ourselves to treat only cold, cough?”
Sir, you will always be remembered...!
You will always be alive in our hearts...!

Moonwalking with
Dr Prafull Vijayakar
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher
demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. -William Arthur Ward (1921-1994)
the seminar is, there used to be thousands of participants and the hall was always full.
Dr Vijayakar also possessed three grand attributes necessary for a good orator viz. Integrity, Vitality and
Good will. In addition to the knowledge of clinical medicine, pathology, miasms, MM and Repertory, he was
eloquent in speech. He was able to deliver the message about his teaching and approach in a focussed
way and he was able to add his holistic creativity in the most remarkable way. Listening to him was with fun,
humour, practical tips and a kind of personal bond. He was a crowd puller and was able to fully impress the
audience. His navigating the audience and connecting to the audience was superb. As a matter of fact, we
have lost a good orator from our homoeopathic community.
Dr Vijayakar had a very friendly smile, God gift in true sense. He himself was pro-active in his teaching and
creative contribution and used to rejoice in what he wanted to offer. The smiling face used to glow with new
thought, new contribution, connection with every participant and with an illustrative case, the audience used
to be spellbound.
Dr Vijayakar: Power Of Passion And Perseverance
It is interesting to link life of Dr Prafull Gajanan Vijayakar with his name. Prafull is of Sanskrit origin meaning
“covered with blossoms or flowers, cheerful, opened wide like a full blown flower, smiling, pleased, blooming”
and Dr Vijayakar’s life is like a full blown flower emanating fragrance of homoeopathic knowledge. He
offered his knowledge with open hands. Gajanan is the name of Lord Ganesha, Indian God of knowledge
and Dr Vijayakar was graced with Lord Ganesha. There are two words in Vijay and kar. Vijay means
success. Life of Dr Vijayakar is an embodiment of success. Kar means hands. Kar has a special place in
Indian philosophy. It is due to Kar that a human being becomes efficient in life. With industriousness and
perseverance, Dr Vijayakar carved a niche for himself as a legendary homeopath in the contemporary
times.

The meaning is at the top of the palm dwell Devi Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth) and at the middle of
the palm dwell Devi Saraswati (Goddess of knowledge and arts) and at the bottom of the palm dwell Sri
Govinda (God of preserver of earth); therefore one should look at one›s palms in the early morning and
contemplate on them.
Before I complete my small article, I would like to quote Dr Prafull Vijayakar, “I would say I have been
consistently ready for change. To change for the better, plus openness to all other sciences. Not being
dogmatic about just what’s given in the Organon and our philosophy. In fact studying the Organon in the
light of modern medicine. The whole effort is to work in collaboration. To fill in what’s lacking”.
Dr Vijayakar, you touched so many lives, helped so many people and made them walk in the right path, the
path of wisdom. Death can’t take you away from us; it is hard to bid the final good bye; nay, we don’t want
to; there is no exit for you; come back again in our homoeopathic community; we need you badly, to lift our
science from strife and vicissitudes.

Pranamam!
In the earlier part of the post Y2K period; I was given a copy of Dr Prafull Vijayakar’s ‘Theory of Acutes’. Then
I procured his second book on ‘Theory of Suppression’. Both made a radical change in my understanding of
the practical application of Homoeopathy. . .it was like the beginning of a revolution in Homoeopathy. Thus
he earned form his followers the Nickname “ the Einstein of Homoeopathy”.
I met him in Kerala, when he came for a Scientific Seminar organized by ‘the Institution of Homoeopaths
Kerala’ of which I was the First General Secretary. Deeply impressed by his teachings, I went to
Mahabaleshwar to attend his Seminars on “Predictive Homoeopathy”. I was given special recognition by
him because of my position as elected member of the Central Council of Homoeopathy, state of Kerala. I
got his Book on ‘End of Miasmtion of Miasms’ and all his other books. Thereafter, I slowly accepted him as
my Guru in my favourite ‘Miasm Based Right Homoeopathic Practice’. He also accepted me as a friend, a
great honour for me. As a member of the Education Committee of the CCH, I carried copies of his books to
be distributed among its members, to persuade them to approve of them as text books for the UG students
of Homoeopathic colleges.
When we formed the first ‘HAPPHY’ in Kerala, I was its State President. We conducted several National
Predictive Homoeopathy Seminars in Kerala to promote his Miasm Based Right Homoeopathic Practice.
Those seminars made a revolution in the method of practice of Homoeopaths not just in Kerala but in
the country. Dr Prafull Vijayakar was evolving as a world class teacher of Homoeopathy with millions of
followers across the globe. He taught them how to manage Syphilitic cases, at the same time, sticking to
the fundamental principles of Homoeopathy. He gave them confidence to handle advanced pathological
conditions. He had been much involved in the research on “Cancers”. But he passed away on 17th of
December 2020.
It was from him that I heard about the teachings of Dr Hamer at a National Predictive seminar in 2008. I
started learning German New Medicine from 2013, and would communicate with Dr Prafull Vijayakar about
my interest in GNM. He would bless my GNM National Seminars held in various parts of the country. Ever
since I started attending his SCPH classes, in Mumbai in 2017, I could understand that he had conviction in
the Five Biological Laws of German New Medicine. I was fortunate to be his student in his last SCPH PLUS
Courses held in Mumbai in 2018 and 2019. While he was lecturing on Homoeopathy, I was assimilating
them with my knowledge of GNM.
I heard for the first time from Dr Vijayakar that Viruses cannot cause sickness or death. It was according
to the 4th Biological Law of GNM discovered and established by Dr Ryke Geerd Hamer, after 30 years of
scientific research. But Dr Vijayakar was later found to be a believer in the teachings of the Conventional
Medicine about Viruses. I would raise doubts in his classes on this. He advocated the use of Sepia as the
Genus Epidemicus for the so called ‘Covid 19 Viral Pandemic ‘of 2020. According to GNM, it is a non-
existent and fabricated “Plandemic”. As a teacher of GNM, it was disappointing for me. While accepting Dr
Prafull Vijayakar as my Guru who taught me how to practice Homoeopathy in the right manner, I accept Dr
Hamer as another divine soul after Dr Hahnemann. Both of them have brought eternal wisdom for humanity.
I understand that my life became fortunate and fruitful by being a Homoeopathic and a GNM practitioner. I
was fortunate to travel to Germany, home to both Dr Hahnemann and Dr Hamer. I owe my real successes
The Legendary
Homoeopath
Dr Prafull Vijayakar’s demise is a great loss of Homoeopathy.
The Master of “Cure for the Incurables” - born on 4th Aug 1952, was practising medicine since 1974.
After his training, he started practising as a Medical Officer in a hospital. He soon turned with his heart and
soul, to the practice of classical Homoeopathy under the heading of “Predictive Homoeopathy.”
He was the hope for the hopeless. He cured lots of patients suffering from incurable disease conditions.
Dr Prafull Vijayakar was not only a popular Homoeopath and gifted prescriber, but his reputation as scholar,
lecturer and orator was impeccable.
It was through his dedication and untiring efforts that the “Indian Institute of Homeopathic Physicians” is
doing good constructive work in the field of Homoeopathy.
Dr Vijayakar with his powerful orator ship, won many laurels in his seminars, lectures, and workshops.
He served society, as an Honorary Homoeopathic physician in the Government hospital for 15 years and in
Mumba-Devi Homoeopathic Hospital.
He has authored two books, “Predictive Homoeopathy” and “The Theory of Acute diseases”. His literary
works offered him, Vidyeshwari Pratishthan’s “Scientist Award” in 1998.
He was honoured by the prestigious “Hahnemann Gaurav Puraskar” by Maharashtra Council of
Homoeopathy, for his contributions in Homoeopathy.
He has arranged various workshops, seminars all over India and abroad, to propagate Hahnemanian
Classical Homoeopathy.
He has given me moral support to learn modern pharmacology, to know the effects and side effects of
Allopathic medicine.
He emphasised that Covid19 is due to turbulence in Brhamand i.e. universe which we believe.
On his suggestions, many Municipal Corporations worked in their areas and came out successful in Covid19
pandemic.
Dr Vijayakar is an Alumni of our college. He has successfully completed MD (Hom) course from Sonajirao
Kshirsagar Homoeopathic Medical College, Beed. We are proud of that.
He has arranged regular camps in our college, for mentally and physically retarded children. He made his
not expert services available, free of cost, for needy patients in rural areas, in and around Beed. His demise
is only our personal loss. But I will say that it a loss for Homoeopathy.
I felt, he was the incarnation of Hahnemann in this era and we are felt like orphans by his sudden exit.
“Sir...Rest in Peace...You are really a torch bearer and a Genius in Homoeopathy...”
He will always be remembered.
We pray that God will give us strength to bear this loss.

In fond remembrance
Dear Ambrish,
Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved father. My
thoughts have been with you and your family, I cannot even come close to understanding the grief, pain
and sadness you all must feel.
I don’t know where to start really! It is such a shock still.
I will always cherish the memory of your respected father and keep him in my heart. I will never forget his
infectious smile, his small loving gestures towards patients and students alike, his humour and his humble
nature. He was a truly outstanding humanitarian.
I felt very quickly a deep connection, from the very first seminar in Regensburg. He welcomed each and
everyone with open arms, prepared to share his knowledge amongst anyone eager to learn.
It was fascinating to listen, watch and learn over the years; he knew how to unlock the most intrinsic ways
of the human mind, combining these findings with sciences and thus facilitating healing of the deepest
pathologies – ‘Mind of Pathology’ was born. Tirelessly he searched for an ever deeper understanding, to
refine his entry points for the most complicated cases. Without hesitation, your father was prepared to share
his knowledge, to pass it on to thousands of students in many countries, to grow and expand the Predictive
Homoeopathy Family, for the relief of suffers countless.
I never ever once saw him lose his patience with the most basic questions, even after long days in the
clinics, camps, or teaching. His love for Homoeopathy was so profound, his deep inner mission- a vocation
to relieve the suffering of mankind, no matter of what background! He founded and expanded the awe-
inspiring Hope for Hopeless Camps, his generosity to the poorest was legendary.
He tirelessly pushed the boundaries of understanding the universal art and science of healing through true
Hahnemanian Homoeopathy.
Homoeopathy has no limits
Everything is possible in Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy is like Mathematics
These were three of his axioms which he would repeat – I can still see him echoing those words his huge
smile. He profoundly increased the confidence in his students in the possibility of alleviating or even curing
severe pathologies.
I admired his honesty and humility - there was no failure, there was only a case which had to be painstakingly
retaken, stubbornly re-analysed and a better prescription given. It is so empowering for a young hhomoeopath
to see that not all cases are plain sailing, even for someone so gifted and experienced as your beloved dad.
In fond Remembrance of your beloved Father Dr Prafull Vijayakar
I will light a candle. May His spirit guide us in the future.
With silent embrace,

In Memorium
I saw Dr Vijayakar for the first time in Israel, 2002.
I was absolutely sure that it was impossible to go to Tel Aviv that year – it was not safe, the journey and
stay expensive, no time to issue visa. There were multiple obstacles, but destiny had another plan and
after a series of synchronicities and small miracles, we– two BG doctors-landed in Tel Aviv. Thanks to many
colleagues and friends in Bulgaria and Israel who made this journey possible.
On the day we met Dr Vijayakar and some of his assistants, we travelled together to Jerusalem, as if we
knew each other forever. We were so happy to be together, singing Indian songs in Jerusalem.
That was a funny experience, but next day at the seminar, it was wow! Homoeopathy and genetics,
embryology, physiology…My soul was singing, I was so grateful to be there and learn.
Then began our collaboration with Dr Vijayakar. It resulted in seminars at Mahabaleshwar, several seminars/
lectures from Predictive Homoeopathy in Bulgaria, translation of books, etc.
He came to Bulgaria in the spring of 2004. His seminar was a big success. We had more than 200 participants
from 15 countries. It was a real triumph for Homoeopathy and as one expects there were numerous hurdles
to cross before this success. There were problems with his visa for Bulgaria. It was a desperate situation
and when all our efforts failed and we could only pray, we got help in a miraculous way. Thanks God! We
learnt a lot and improved our practice.
In the next 18 years I have given hundreds of presentations quoting him. His street light schema (Psora-
green-physiological, Sycosis - yellow-constructive, Syphilitic-red-destructive) and the fact that this modern
physiology understanding was foreseen by Hahnemann centuries ago (para 75 from the Organon).
It helped me bring many hundreds of MD in Bulgaria, Macedonia and Turkey closer to Homoeopathy.
Allopathic doctors understood Homoeopathy better from his teachings, that there is a scientific basis and
it is worth studying.
Thanks to Dr Vijayakar, I visited India for the first time, I saw a Homoeopathic college and hospital for the
first time and met Homoeopaths with high quality work. Due to his teaching, the members of the Balkan
group who attended his Mahabaleshwar seminar during 2004 understood the concept of Homoeopathic
camp and how it is possible to help 400 people in one day with a good Homoeopathic team and good
organization.
I would like to say special thanks from all my Bulgarian colleagues to him and the whole team, for the
unforgettable moments of sharing knowledge, enthusiasm, uplifting time and love for Homoeopathy.
Peace and light to your soul, Dr Vijayakar.

Vijayakar: The Man
I would like to take this opportunity to offer a humble tribute to my dear friend, respected colleague and a
great homoeopath, Dr Prafull Vijayakar.
I would like to share some memories which inspired me, taught me many things related to homoeopathy
and even guided me in life.
The first event that comes to mind was attending a seminar of his, where he had showed a patient having
AVN (avascular necrosis) getting cured purely with homoeopathy. To me it was very inspiring to see how
he cured it, because until that time I wasn’t sure whether such a grave disease like AVN, can be cured by
homoeopathy. But when I actually saw him curing it, I had the confidence to treat cases of AVN myself.
Likewise, amongst his many seminars, he showed multiple other cases where, deep pathologies were
healing with homoeopathy. This showed us a path to follow, whereby our confidence in homoeopathy was
doubled and we could take on the cases with deep pathology with a lot of zeal.
One more thing of him which influenced me was, his commitment to classical homoeopathy. Practising
based on single remedy principle and solid Materia Medica.
There were many homoeopaths who resorted to combinations and mixtures in homoeopathy. On the other
side there was this man, being completely determined to use the principles of the system, stood by classical
homoeopathy. and give marvellous results with it. This inspired several thousands of students to do likewise.
The second thing that amazed me: In those times where homoeopathy was still seen as an alternate
line of treatment, he had made an empire. Not satisfied just with his self-practice, but thinking big for
homoeopathy, he started a chain of clinics by the name of Predictive Homoeopathy, not only in Maharashtra
but across India, rural and urban. This made classical homoeopathy available to many patients and even
many students.
His Hope for Hopeless camps were something new. There he would, with his immense knowledge, treat
those cases of mentally and physically retarded children which otherwise would be given up, even by
eminent allopathic physicians. I would also like to bring to your notice here that, these camps were done on
a completely charitable basis. This showed the side of him which was very compassionate.
The crowd of students and budding practitioners coming to attend these camps were humongous, and
would always go away inspired by it. His seminars, his way of developing a team around him and then
making an empire of out of that, would always astonish me. I was in awe of his leadership qualities and
organizational capability.
Also, what comes to mind is his immaculate dressing style. I would always appreciate the way he would
carry himself. He always taught and showed his young students that a homoeopath doesn’t need to be
poor. He/she can afford to live luxuriously in style and in a dignified way with their head high. He was like an
icon and an ideal to many. This to me, would change the image of a homoeopath and homoeopathy. The
more valuable and skilful you are, the more self-confident you become.
There was a combination in him, of an exceptional homoeopath having outstanding knowledge, an exuberant

Reminiscence with Dr
Prafull Vijayakar
I will never utter Dr Prafull Vijayakar as Late Dr Prafull Vijayakar since his memories are so embedded in
my mind that I can sense his presence in spite of his physical absence. I have witnessed his uninterrupted
progress as one of the top most Homoeopathic physician in the world.
My association with him began from 1970 when we were students in the then Bombay Homoeopathic
Medical College, Mumbai. Since then till date we maintained most cordial relationship as friend and
professional colleague.
Wherever he was there, his presence made the whole environment dynamic and lively. His contribution to
the world of Homoeopathy is unique and unparalleled.
You all know that he started his practice as an allopath since he inherited this from three generations of
his family. Like any conscious and sensitive person he was also not satisfied with the untoward effects of
allopathic system of medicine. He switched on to homoeopathic system of medicine.
Initially he was practicing with combinations of homoeopathic medicines. In this type of practice also he was
not satisfied since he was sensitive to the principles of homoeopathic system of medicine. He then began
to practice single medicine and single dose. no repetition method till last.
While practicing traditional approach he could sense that Dr Samuel Hahnemann’s Organon approach to
arrive at Similimum, though perfect, required to be simplified for the benefit of young budding doctors. He
made a simple chart for acute and chronic disease which can be followed easily.
Simultaneously he also developed an art of perceiving a drug through face reading and physiognomy but
he always confirmed the same with the factual data of patient’s history. This was the beginning of achieving
heights of success further.
He was the chairman of IIHP ie all India qualified doctor’s association, for number of years and delivered
fruitful lectures and seminar for thousands of students.
Being thinker and genius he realized the importance of miasms in practice. He was the first homoeopathic
physician to correlate Miasm with embryology and demonstrated how diseases progress and express in
particular organ or system depending on their origin from three basic components of embryology Ecto, Endo
and Mesoderm. He did not believe in Tubercular Miasm since he was ardent follower of Dr Hahnemann’s
and never accepted Tubercular Miasm or any new miasms later on evolved.
He devised 7 layers of evolution of diseases in human being and integrated with Herring’s law of direction
of evolution of disease and cure. By this approach we can predict the future course of the disease or cure.
This he named as “Predictive Homoeopathy”
At this stage his spiritual, intuitive and predictive mind evolved so much that he became a master prescriber
and cured hundreds of cases like Cancer, Motor neuron disorders, Congenital disorders etc. He became
life savior of so many patients.
Once he was treating a paralyzed patient who was brought in wheel chair by relatives, and during interview
with him it was known that patient was spiritual master from small town of Maharashtra. This patient used
to heal large number of people of his town and was very famous.
I have perceived in him Spiritual, Philosophical and philanthropic attitude, Conscious, Conscience and
Confidence, Benevolence, Guru in all senses, highly Sensitive and Sensible and full of positive Energy
within him.
He used to tell me how he has experienced the blessings of many spiritual saints. I saw a huge photo of
Swami Gajananbaba of Sehgao Maharashtra in his consulting chamber just behind him on left side of his
chair. Besides this we used to talk about Saibaba of Shirdi, Swami Samarth of Sholapur, and Mehar baba
of Amravati and so on. I could sense blessings of these great saints on him when I used to sit with him and
he seeing patients and prescribing.
We have attended each other’s seminars held by my Homoeopathic Education and Research Institute
Mumbai and his Predictive Homoeopathy. We were nearest when he used to come at Sonajirao Kshirsagar
Homoeopathic Medical College, Beed Maharashtra from where he did MD (Hom) and used to conduct
seminars and camp. We were both open to each other’s viewpoints in homoeopathic concepts and with
complete respect. Many times our prescriptions were same and he was overjoyed at that time.
I must admit that his reasoning, facts and concepts of patient’s history, framing totality and prescribing a
medicine were all on the basis of Organon and teaching of Dr Samuel Hahenemann. His repertorisation and
interpretation of symptoms of patient in to reportorial rubric was just marvelous.
His whole practice over all was operating on the axis of Embryology, Miasm, Hering’s Law of direction of
cure, Predictive Homoeopathy and Hope for Hopeless.
Though we met infrequently in person but our communication on phone was regular till before lockdown. I
don’t remember we had any talk between us other than Homeopathy. Listening to him gave me more and
more confidence. This is true for all those who heard him throughout world.
His dream was to have a Homoeopathic college in Maharashtra where his Predictive Homoeopathy is
taught, throughout the duration of training period formulated by concerned medical university. The syllabus
and curriculum be prepared as per the requirement of the Predictive Homoeopathy. He was constantly
making efforts for the same. However this could not be fulfilled due to his untimely death. The true homage
to him will be to establish homoeopathic education system where integrative training program can be de-
viced by unified efforts of all the different schools of thoughts appearing different but have same platform
on which they are evolved i.e. Dr Samuel Hahnemann’s t eaching.
I have witnessed Dr Vishpala Parthsarthy’s presentations where she demonstrated number of cases that
can be successfully perceived by all the known approaches and Similimum can be arrived perfectly.
NJH can lead this activity under guidance of Dr Vishpala and I am sure all the different schools will cooper-
ate. The aim should be ‘How to decide which approach is best suitable to a case one encounters.’
When I heard of his Covid 19 illness I was taken aback but could not contact him at all till I received news
of his heavenly departure. I will ever regret for this and miss him for life time.
All the above mentioned innovative ideas he demonstrated through hundreds of cases in seminars through-
out the world.
My deep condolence to Dr Prafull Vijayakar’ family and the team of Predictive Homoeopathy.
We Lost Prafull...
We have lost the Lion of Homeopathy, the great legend, Dr Prafull Vijayakar. In this painful moment of
intense grief, we share the sorrow.
I recall various interactions I had over years, great learning moments for me. Extremely, positive, dynamic
and confident; The Great teacher who has inspired many.
This confidence was not bravado or swagger but natural expression of his ability, expertise, immense faith
in his belief system and basic self-esteem. Some years back I did participate in case discussion meetings
over live difficult cases, with Dr Vijayakar, Dr Rajan and Dr Jayesh at Dr Rajan’s clinic. This provided a rich
learning platform. What I had seen was his sharp observations and very quick correlations: “the capacity
and habit of noticing carefully and correctly the phenomena that take place in natural diseases (Medical
Observer)”. In a single breath, he will evolve the portrait with differentiation. “Merc-sol is thirsty, Merc-cor
is thirstless, Merc-sol is inflammatory, Merc-cor is destructive. But when this is accompanied by spirituality,
higher purpose quest then it is Cinnabaris-Merc-sulfide”. He had good command on facts, sharp analysis
and strong conceptualization. Above all he had a great zeal to share. He will always be remembered for how
he was able to seamlessly blend the biological questions-Embryology and Genetics- he so passionately
pursued and correlated with Homoeopathy.
Above all I have always seen him as very warm person. For years to come, even in difficult and turbulent
time for Homoeopathy, his work will keep guiding us.
Remembering Vijayakar
I have been a complete witness to Dr Prafull Vijayakar journey for his transition from allopathic practice to
homeopathic practice in multiple drugs and combinations to a single medicine prescription.
These transitions happened after his case of Lac-caninum which included single medicine and then there
was no looking back then.
In college days we use to play table tennis together and he was my table tennis doubles partner. We had
wonderful memories of those college days.
This shift happened because of his ability to grasp fast, learn from the mistakes and come out with excellent
results.
I have also watched his journey from being a very timid individual to a state of lion in homeopathy.
I still remember the incidence which he narrated to me when his father was taking him by a flight, as a child
he was so scared he did not enter the plane, he cried and he had to be taken back.
Because he was a good learner he developed confidence of managing patients and delivering desired
results. He was always willing to take challenge in difficult, incurable cases and helped them with his
prescriptions.
Major shift happened when he started his Predictive School and taught more than 2000 people all over to
follow his theory of genetics, miasm and prescription with a predictive result.
His devotion to the patients was phenomenal. He would work from morning 10 O’ clock till 12.00 clock
midnight. He could imbibe confidence and results in his followers and most of them are good clinicians and
prescribers, who are capable of delivering results
I suggest a week-long series should be done in his memory starting on his birthday where each one shares
their evidence based cases with results and we should make it reach globally.
I am willing to offer services of my 3 organisations to plan and execute it so that it reaches to at least 110
countries across the globe.
We pray for his soul that again he is reborn for homoeopathy.

Tribute to Dr Vijayakar
It was around 1990-91 when I joined Government Homoeopathic Hospital, Mumbai to learn Homoeopathy.
Newly graduated with no experience, I was sceptical about my future. But all the doubts disappeared as I
worked under the able guidance of Dr Prafull Vijayakar the Shahenshah of Homoeopathy.
His entry in the OPD would create a positive wave in the patients and confidence in learners like me.
His approach towards the patient was unique. His method to reach to the root cause of the disease was
very interesting. His repertorial knowledge and its application to find the Similimum with Materia Medica
knowledge always amazed us. His ever smiling face was absolutely infectious and it created a confident
path to many like me. I was very lucky to see him grow with his clear vision, thought process and concepts
of suppression, Miasm and its application. There have been many great homoeopathic physicians who
have been excellent teachers of Homoeopathy, but touching the core and soul of Hahnemanian thinking
and converting it to scientific base is not an ordinary man’s work. Practical use of the cardinal principles laid
down by Dr Hahnemann along with perfect utilization of Hering’s Law of direction of cure, in each case and
its follow up, is his greatest contribution.
Every time he talked about the mathematical certainty of Homoeopathy as expected by Dr Hahnemann,
referring to foot note 120 of Organon [6th edition]. He never believed in the trial and error method of
prescription. In his practice he proved every prescription with mathematical certainty .This scientific method
of thought process was the very reason why he could predict the progress of the patient –and thus his born
the name Predictive Homoeopathy.
I am fortunate to have seen his Love for Homoeopathy and Homoeopaths. This was the reason why many
students from all over the world would come to learn. Sir has visited my home and clinic with Dr Gisella
(from Germany). Not only was he a hope for hopeless patients, but also to many students and practitioners.
I am blessed to have been associated with one who understood and defended Homoeopathy both as an
art and as a science.

Gratitude to Sir
All of us need help sometime in our life as no one is truly self-made. It begins with parents, but there are
many others who may refine you and help you to achieve success and wisdom. They are the true mentors,
Guru!
It is still not sinking in that our Beloved Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, is not with us. It is unbelievable that we have
lost a true legend, the LION of Homoeopathy.
I have been very blessed and fortunate to have met Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, who not only taught us Right
Homoeopathy, but also how to be a good Human being. He taught us how to live life.
I do not have any words to describe the irreparable loss that the Homoeopathy community has faced. It’s
a void that no one can fill!
I can still recall my first encounter with Sir in a seminar during my 2nd year BHMS, where he showed
different incurable pathologies, treated them with Homoeopathy with ease. I was so mesmerised by that
seminar and it had such an impact, that I was clear on the path to take for my career and life. He was so
enthusiastic and passionate about Homoeopathy which I had not experienced while studying in college.
Dr Prafull Sir made Homoeopathy so easy, emphasised the fact that Homoeopathy is Mathematics and
proved it with results.
In my family, my mom, uncle and aunts suffer from a neurological genetic illness known as Adult Onset
Leuco-Dystrophy. After the first seminar that I attended, I was confident that there is indeed a Hope for my
ailing family to overcome this illness. I managed to get an appointment with Dr Prafull Sir, and today, I am
blessed to be one of his Panel doctors, serving his cause. I had the chance to experience those magical
results first-hand with my aunt and mom.
Every follow-up with Dr Prafull Sir, was so encouraging and mesmerising and I always looked forward to
meeting him as I would always come home with some learning.
Dr Prafull Sir always emphasised spreading knowledge and not to contain it. He motivated us to share his
experiences with everyone.
He was a true visionary who combined genetics with Homoeopathy and gave a scientific approach to
Homoeopathy. It is only because of his teachings, that young Homoeopaths like me, are confidently able to
treat incurable pathologies, that have no scope in Allopathy.
I remember, after an amazing follow-up, we assistants would be awestruck by the results and Sir would
always say “Saw it? Homoeopathy is so easy?”He was one who could make the impossible possible,
especially in congenital illness and he has proved in his “Hope for the Hopeless” camps, which was run all
over India treating all the hopeless cases, free of charge.
Dr Prafull Sir, always emphasized that the scope of Homoeopathy is the Homoeopath himself. It is the
Homoeopath that fails, and not Homoeopathy. His teaching and approach have had a great impact on my
personal practice.
He was a father figure to me, inaugurated and entrusted to me his Predictive Homoeopathy clinic branch to
handle. I cannot thank him enough, and I am totally indebted to Sir. He helped me strive for goals. I found
guidance, a wealth of knowledge, discipline and love, in one person, Dr Prafull Sir.
The biggest tribute to Prafull Sir, will be to not let the fire ignited by him go down, but to carry the light

My Homage to a Legend
As homage to a Legendary homoeopath, teacher & philanthropist Dr Prafull Vijayakar sir, I wish to pen
down this note as a witness to his exemplary life and work. His day started with a busy clinic, patients in
heavy numbers from various parts of the country & globe. The weekends were with his students and rest
of the time (hardly any) for himself and family. He worked to understand the secrets of universe and on
intricacies in homoeopathy, to pass on his ideas and wisdom. To the future generations of homoeopathy.
He was a trend setter who gave a touch of glamour and respect to the homoeopathic fraternity.
Young homoeopaths would flock around his chair to see him, eager to believe that
homoeopathy works. They would get surprised seeing his ability to predict the
prognosis and see it turn, dumb struck when they saw same results in follow ups.
One experience and teaching which I will never forget is of a pt, an old lady who always peeped inside
his cabin to get his attention. As usual, he asked assistants to call her in. She came with ailments of left
side ( writing her diagnosis will reveal the identity). As a thumb rule he asked her about her problems with
children and home. She burst into tears saying that of her 3 sons, all are abroad; one hasn’t talked to her for
2 years, ever since he got married and purchased a new house. She was sobbing and saying that neither
did he answer her call nor call her himself. “I don’t know what makes him do this or what mistake did I do.”
Having heard her patiently, undoubtedly medicine was given to cure but he explained to her that there’s
a particular discontinuation in the wall on the eastern side of son’s newly purchased house (Vaastu)
which is why he’s unable to talk, not that her son didn’t love her. She sighed and seemed relieved. After
she left, he turned towards us (assistants and juniors) saying “never ever tell an Indian mother that
her son doesn’t like her. Don’t create differences in mother-son relation by saying bad about her son.
It is equally essential that you learn these things from me apart from techniques, rubrics, remedies”.
His work within this life span is fodder for several generations of homoeopaths to come.
Behind his toughness lies his love, which is as soft as a milk skin for fellow homoeopaths and humanity.
His legacy and teachings will never go in vain and now the legacy
will be continued by Dr Ambrish Vijayakar sir and all his students.
“Scope of homoeopathy is the homoeopath himself; it is the homoeopath who fails and not homoeopathy”
he said .......

Vijayakar… my Friend
I saw him groom from a student to this mighty Lion that he is today in everyone’s heart.
The years were the 1970’s! My mother was his most favourite teacher and he, Rajan and Farokh - her
3 most favourite students. Her eye was impeccable – these 3 are the leading lights in our Homoeopathic
world today.
I remember each of them coming and going in my home viz. my mother’s home – like a temple of growth
and learning, (which is why I have preserved it for all these 26 years after her death) and the discussions
which ensured.
His enthusiasm was always unbounded and forceful – even in the short phase of his life when he did
polypharmacy…. He made her take the combination medicines for some skin ailment and gave it to her with
his own hand. Luckily it did not work and fortunately that phase passed off soon enough and then moved
on to the path of True Homoeopathy what he eventually coined as Predictive Homoeopathy. We grew along
different paths in Homeopathy. My mother had already handed me over to Dr ML Dhawale ‘Sir’ as he is
still today to all of us and the rest is history. But we loved each other and respected each other always.
Whether, we met or not but the love from those early days remains unabated. We shared much. He would
come for the SSMS seminars and call me for IIHP meets. The 10thAnniversary SSMS Seminar of NJH was
the epitome of sharing – when Vijayakar, Rajan and Farokh and me shared the stage at the greatest venue
of all times - the NCPA at Nariman point.
But what stood out always in Vijayakar, was his force, his enthusiasm, his conviction and his vision. Every
time he would get a new idea, a new path, he would drop in unannounced- to acquaint my mother with it
and share and discuss it with her. Many years later, I remember when he got the first copy of the complete
repertory which had to be seen with a magnifying glass, he dropped in at my Worli house to share that with
me!
Thank you Vijayakar (he was always Vijayakar never Prafull- though Rajan is always Rajan never Sankaran,
and Farokh always Farokh never Master).
Thank youfor being in my life and most importantly making my mother’s life so much richer and livelier.
There are going to be many today who will talk about various aspects of him mainly as an educator and
a Homoeopath, but for me he will always remain the naughty, mischievous and enthusiastic young man I
always knew- almost the brother I never had. Which is the reason I took the NJH platform to provide most
deserved tribute to Vijayakar. My forte has always been writing and that is what I do best. So we dedicate
this special NJH issue “Tribute to the Lion of Homoeopathy- Vijayakar” and throw this glorious issue open.
Thank you Ajit, Shobha & NJH team for making this come to Fruition.
