Introduction to Live Webinar by

Dr Vishpala Parthasarathy
Dr Vishpala Parthasarathy, Editora of National Journal of Homoeopathy set off this very unique
Tribute Memorial Webinar on 17-1-21, as a Celebration of the life of DR PRAFULL VIJAYAKAR

T
oday we are all meeting here exactly 1 month after we lost a Giant Homoeopath Dr Prafull
Vijayakar.
We meet to actually celebrate his life. We have lost him too early but again we must recognize
that he has achieved in 68 years which others do not achieve even in 100 years.
It is said there are always 2 sides of the coin. Nowhere is it so true as it is today... we lost Prafull on 17-12-
2020 due to CoIvid19 and its aftermath. On the other hand it has been the same lockdown which has freed
us from the shackles of physical meetings and given us this very much alive Virtual Meetings and the Zoom
platforms where hundreds of us can gather to share this tribute function.
The idea was first voiced by Dr Ajit Kulkarni, senior associate editor of NJH. He said NJH as a National
Voice should pay tribute to one who has contributed so much to the science of Homoeopathy and taken it
to a level unheard of before - spread over all continents and taught 1000’s to practice Right True Scientific
Homoeopathy.
The team at NJH- one of the most innovative close knit and hard-working and altruistic team I have ever
had the good fortune to know and head - immediately agreed. Dr Shobha Shah- the bright spark amongst
us who worked closely with Vijayakar’s method and has learnt to integrate ICR-Vijayakar and HHF - an
amazing feat… immediately took it upon herself to co-ordinate this whole effort which was by no means
an easy task to bring together: A grief stricken family, the Predictive team, the NJH team and the world
Homeopaths all together on ONE platform – a never before effort - but she has done a marvelous job...
almost flawless...
Thanks to the co-operation of all the people In this audience and especially our speakers, we had an
amazing insight into the Man who was Prafull Vijayakar.
I hope that when all of us leave this meet and this Memorial Book release, we will leave enriched, inspired
and rededicated to Homoeopathy - the great science which has still not earned its rightful place in the
Medical world and needs effort from all of us to reach there.
By February we will also release the e-copy of the NJH’s Memorial Book of Prafull Vijayakar. All of you who
have registered will get a complimentary e-copy.
Today in this same month of January 13/1/1995 to be precise I cannot help but remember my mother Dr
Sarla Sonawala, the founder of NJH, the favourite teacher of Prafull, who also died at 68 exactly but in
1995. I am sure she will be very glad to have the company of Prafull up there from where they will now
eternally watch over us all. Today, I also remember my teacher Dr ML Dhawale who also left us toe early

and at an even younger age of 58 and his work which he started, planned and wrote about like a blueprint-
has also been taken to fruition and has grown multifold and is thriving. I am sure Predictive will also
continue to flourish as Praful planned and wished. His team will ensure that.
With these words I now
Now I throw open this webinar and invite our chief initiator and Editor of the Memorial Book Dr Ajit Kulkarni.

My respected teacher... !

T
he sad and untimely demise of Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, a legend, a Lion of Homoeopathy, is an
immense and irreplaceable loss to Homoeopathy.
I first got an opportunity to learn from him in 2014-15 at the SCPH advanced course designed
by Predictive Homoeopathy, where my batch mates were all Senior doctors with 20yrs plus
practice.. I feel blessed to have learnt Homoeopathy from him.
He was a great teacher, approachable, always smiling and ready to solve queries /doubts of learners.
His passion to teach Homoeopathy was so intense that he continued giving webinars till he felt unwell.
Thousands attended. He would take lectures and prepare PPTs even for answering questions. He would
be so engrossed, that he took NO break in 3 hr-webinar.
One friend commented on hearing news of his demise, “He will be reborn as a Homoeopath “ as his passion
for Homoeopathy was intense.
In his Hope for Hopeless camps, students always surrounded him to learn from him. How beautifully he
would connect pathology directly to metaphors, conflict areas of patients and reach the core of patients in
the shortest time. He considered higher levels of mentals (delusions), characteristic generals and connected
all the dots to treat deep pathologies with fantastic results.
Seeing this, we got the courage to accept similar cases. Dr Prafull sir said- “when Homoeopathy has power
to treat deep genetic pathologies, why should we restrict ourselves to treat only cold, cough?”
Sir, you will always be remembered...!
You will always be alive in our hearts...!

Moonwalking with
Dr Prafull Vijayakar
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher
demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. -William Arthur Ward (1921-1994)

Dr Vijayakar: Teacher And Physician

The above quote from  the Master writer of inspirational maxims fits in well with the likes of Dr Prafull
Vijayakar.
Imbibing the characters of a diligent teacher, he motivated every homoeopathic student to practice
homeopathy. Those homoeopathic doctors who passed out of the college and used to practice Allopathy,
drifted away from Allopathy and started practising Homeopathy again due to Dr Vijayakar’s teaching. When
this occurred with not hundreds but thousands of students from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, it became a
crusade and mission. Dr Vijayakar was able to transform the students through his seminars and scientific
explanations. He literally influenced every practising homeopath to revisit the philosophy of homeopathy
as laid down by Hahnemann, and nurtured further by Boenninghausen, Hering, Kent, Roberts and others.
The demonstrative part of Dr Vijayakar’s illustrations was so powerful that his name occupied a special
place amongst various strata of homoeopathic community. He presented cases of advanced pathologies:
of blindness, of muscular dystrophies, of malignancies, etc. with hard data and videos before homoeopathic
treatment. After giving ‘Genetic Similimum’, Oh! You were vividly able to see the improvement. This is the
case, this is the pathology, this is the remedy and this one is the marvellous result.
A great teacher’s quality lies in inspiring others and Dr Vijayakar will be a guiding light not only for the
present generation but for the future generations concerned with homeopathy in one way or the other.
What He Preached, He Followed
An outstanding characteristic which Dr Vijayakar displayed was oneness in his interpretation of homoeopathic
philosophy and his way of practice. There was no dichotomy. In my opinion, the reason why homeopaths
loved him and honoured him was because of his honesty. They saw the same ideals, be it clinical practice
or seminar platform. He represented Hahnemannian Homeopathy and didn’t shy away from what he taught.
Some of his ideas were opposed too but he was bold to persuade them.
Dr Vijayakar found time to write, to conduct seminars and webinars, to travel in India and abroad to spread
Hahnemannian Homeopathy. His life was of magnificence. He was tall and impressively large. He wrote
many books and every book became very popular amongst the homeopaths. I remember, when his book
“Theory of Acutes” was published, it received a warm welcome in cities and villages alike. I know many
homeopaths who used this book as an operational manual. Taking acute history and doing mathematical
calculations of essential characters became simple and for the first time they started gaining confidence in
treating acute illnesses.
Literary contribution of Dr Vijayakar
Dr Vijayakar had his own method of study and interpretation of homoeopathic philosophy. He tried to

widen the base of philosophy and clinical practice by linking it with several faculties of medicine such
as embryology, physiology, pathology, clinical medicine, miasmalogy etc. Dr Vijayakar came out with the
book “Homeopathy and Modern Science” with the objective of connecting many medical faculties and
demonstrating to the world the scientific base of homeopathy.
A question was once asked to Dr Vijayakar from one Rajesh, “You give scientific explanation at the genetic
and cellular level for the miasms. Can you explain in a bit more detail?” Vijayakar answered, “Every cell has
GOD in it. G for Generation, O for Organization, D for Destruction. If you look at this from the homoeopathic
point of view, you will see three miasms. “Dust to dust, every man must!” The moment we are born, we
start our journey towards death. I try to see what defence mechanism my patient is using to save himself.
Miasms are nothing but defence mechanisms”. A simple but deep answer.
Dr Vijayakar superbly expanded the concept of Miasms and rendered a new perception. He linked it
to Hering’s suggestions, suppression and the organism’s defence mechanisms. He wanted to end the
controversial subject of miasms forever and hence coined the title “The End of Myasmtion” (Predictive
III).
“Verbatim predictive Homeopathy Workshop-2002 Mahabaleshwar” is a gem from Dr Vijayakar. Every
homeopath must ponder over his teachings and analyses of remarkable cases presented in this book.
Clarity of thinking, sound philosophical and practical base and the knack of selection of the remedy based
on synthetic approach typify the qualitative approach of Dr Vijayakar. Out of many books written by Dr
Vijayakar, Verbatim is the one that I like the most. The Contents/Index of this book itself is enough to
appreciate how Dr Vijayakar linked homeopathy with several branches of Medicine.
I quote Verbatim from his book, “We are not curing diseases; we are just stimulating the cure. If I do not
understand the constitution as a whole inclusive of the miasm, I will not get a cure. Our application of
principles is defective and that is why we still stand secondary in the ladder of importance of therapeutic
science. Only symptoms are not more than sufficient for us to treat. As doctors, we have some other
responsibility. Doctor means one who repairs, who mends, so we have to be more cautious because we
are tempering with the most valuable thing and that is a man’s life”.
“Treasures of Dr Vijayakar” as gathered by GUNTER LUTZ is a wealthy book where a sincere homeopath,
a friend and colleague of Dr Vijayakar compiles and collates the wise clinical tips and instructions so that
they don’t go into oblivion.
I must write about another valuable specimen “Predictive’s Genetic Materia Medica”. The book mainly
focusses on Barytas, Calcareas and Kalis and their in-depth analysis. On each page, you will get a deep dive
into the literature and outcome diamonds from raw material. If you want to possess the polished diamond,
this book is a must for you. Innumerable practical tips, varied behavioural responses, differential world of
MM brought at your immediate notice and the distillate of Dr Vijayakar’s rich experience characterize the
book. With all humility, Dr Vijayakar writes in the preface, “With this book, I am not attempting to introduce
to you a different picture of every drug but on the contrary, my attempt here is to improve the understanding
of the drugs that have been proved by our Masters.
All books of Dr Vijayakar demonstrate his futuristic vision, an encompassing insight to restore the glory of
homeopathy which it has lost due to obstacles to recovery in the evolution.
Extraordinary Oratorship
Confidence, Passion, Introspection and Self Awareness, Being Yourself and Engagement with your
Audience are the five essential qualities of a good speaker and Dr Vijayakar had them all. No matter where

the seminar is, there used to be thousands of participants and the hall was always full.
Dr Vijayakar also possessed three grand attributes necessary for a good orator viz. Integrity, Vitality and
Good will. In addition to the knowledge of clinical medicine, pathology, miasms, MM and Repertory, he was
eloquent in speech. He was able to deliver the message about his teaching and approach in a focussed
way and he was able to add his holistic creativity in the most remarkable way. Listening to him was with fun,
humour, practical tips and a kind of personal bond. He was a crowd puller and was able to fully impress the
audience. His navigating the audience and connecting to the audience was superb. As a matter of fact, we
have lost a good orator from our homoeopathic community.
Dr Vijayakar had a very friendly smile, God gift in true sense. He himself was pro-active in his teaching and
creative contribution and used to rejoice in what he wanted to offer. The smiling face used to glow with new
thought, new contribution, connection with every participant and with an illustrative case, the audience used
to be spellbound.
Dr Vijayakar: Power Of Passion And Perseverance
It is interesting to link life of Dr Prafull Gajanan Vijayakar with his name. Prafull is of Sanskrit origin meaning
“covered with blossoms or flowers, cheerful, opened wide like a full blown flower, smiling, pleased, blooming”
and Dr Vijayakar’s life is like a full blown flower emanating fragrance of homoeopathic knowledge. He
offered his knowledge with open hands. Gajanan is the name of Lord Ganesha, Indian God of knowledge
and Dr Vijayakar was graced with Lord Ganesha. There are two words in Vijay and kar. Vijay means
success. Life of Dr Vijayakar is an embodiment of success. Kar means hands. Kar has a special place in
Indian philosophy. It is due to Kar that a human being becomes efficient in life. With industriousness and
perseverance, Dr Vijayakar carved a niche for himself as a legendary homeopath in the contemporary
times.

The meaning is at the top of the palm dwell Devi Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth) and at the middle of

Govinda (God of preserver of earth); therefore one should look at one›s palms in the early morning and
contemplate on them.
Before I complete my small article, I would like to quote Dr Prafull Vijayakar, “I would say I have been
consistently ready for change. To change for the better, plus openness to all other sciences. Not being
dogmatic about just what’s given in the Organon and our philosophy. In fact studying the Organon in the
light of modern medicine. The whole effort is to work in collaboration. To fill in what’s lacking”.
Dr Vijayakar, you touched so many lives, helped so many people and made them walk in the right path, the
path of wisdom. Death can’t take you away from us; it is hard to bid the final good bye; nay, we don’t want
to; there is no exit for you; come back again in our homoeopathic community; we need you badly, to lift our
science from strife and vicissitudes.

Pranamam!
In the earlier part of the post Y2K period; I was given a copy of Dr Prafull Vijayakar’s ‘Theory of Acutes’. Then
I procured his second book on ‘Theory of Suppression’. Both made a radical change in my understanding of
the practical application of Homoeopathy. . .it was like the beginning of a revolution in Homoeopathy. Thus
he earned form his followers the Nickname “ the Einstein of Homoeopathy”.
I met him in Kerala, when he came for a Scientific Seminar organized by ‘the Institution of Homoeopaths
Kerala’ of which I was the First General Secretary. Deeply impressed by his teachings, I went to
Mahabaleshwar to attend his Seminars on “Predictive Homoeopathy”. I was given special recognition by
him because of my position as elected member of the Central Council of Homoeopathy, state of Kerala. I
got his Book on ‘End of Miasmtion of Miasms’ and all his other books. Thereafter, I slowly accepted him as
my Guru in my favourite ‘Miasm Based Right Homoeopathic Practice’. He also accepted me as a friend, a
great honour for me. As a member of the Education Committee of the CCH, I carried copies of his books to
be distributed among its members, to persuade them to approve of them as text books for the UG students
of Homoeopathic colleges.
When we formed the first ‘HAPPHY’ in Kerala, I was its State President. We conducted several National
Predictive Homoeopathy Seminars in Kerala to promote his Miasm Based Right Homoeopathic Practice.
Those seminars made a revolution in the method of practice of Homoeopaths not just in Kerala but in
the country. Dr Prafull Vijayakar was evolving as a world class teacher of Homoeopathy with millions of
followers across the globe. He taught them how to manage Syphilitic cases, at the same time, sticking to
the fundamental principles of Homoeopathy. He gave them confidence to handle advanced pathological
conditions. He had been much involved in the research on “Cancers”. But he passed away on 17th of
December 2020.
It was from him that I heard about the teachings of Dr Hamer at a National Predictive seminar in 2008. I
started learning German New Medicine from 2013, and would communicate with Dr Prafull Vijayakar about
my interest in GNM. He would bless my GNM National Seminars held in various parts of the country. Ever
since I started attending his SCPH classes, in Mumbai in 2017, I could understand that he had conviction in
the Five Biological Laws of German New Medicine. I was fortunate to be his student in his last SCPH PLUS
Courses held in Mumbai in 2018 and 2019. While he was lecturing on Homoeopathy, I was assimilating
them with my knowledge of GNM.
I heard for the first time from Dr Vijayakar that Viruses cannot cause sickness or death. It was according
to the 4th Biological Law of GNM discovered and established by Dr Ryke Geerd Hamer, after 30 years of
scientific research. But Dr Vijayakar was later found to be a believer in the teachings of the Conventional
Medicine about Viruses. I would raise doubts in his classes on this. He advocated the use of Sepia as the
Genus Epidemicus for the so called ‘Covid 19 Viral Pandemic ‘of 2020. According to GNM, it is a non-
existent and fabricated “Plandemic”. As a teacher of GNM, it was disappointing for me. While accepting Dr
Prafull Vijayakar as my Guru who taught me how to practice Homoeopathy in the right manner, I accept Dr
Hamer as another divine soul after Dr Hahnemann. Both of them have brought eternal wisdom for humanity.
I understand that my life became fortunate and fruitful by being a Homoeopathic and a GNM practitioner. I
was fortunate to travel to Germany, home to both Dr Hahnemann and Dr Hamer. I owe my real successes

to both these divine souls. Dr Vijayakar helped me understand Dr Hahnemann better. Similarly Dr Caroline

The Legendary
Homoeopath
Dr Prafull Vijayakar’s demise is a great loss of Homoeopathy.
The Master of “Cure for the Incurables” - born on 4th Aug 1952, was practising medicine since 1974.
After his training, he started practising as a Medical Officer in a hospital. He soon turned with his heart and
soul, to the practice of classical Homoeopathy under the heading of “Predictive Homoeopathy.”
He was the hope for the hopeless. He cured lots of patients suffering from incurable disease conditions.
Dr Prafull Vijayakar was not only a popular Homoeopath and gifted prescriber, but his reputation as scholar,
lecturer and orator was impeccable.
It was through his dedication and untiring efforts that the “Indian Institute of Homeopathic Physicians” is
doing good constructive work in the field of Homoeopathy.
Dr Vijayakar with his powerful orator ship, won many laurels in his seminars, lectures, and workshops.
He served society, as an Honorary Homoeopathic physician in the Government hospital for 15 years and in
Mumba-Devi Homoeopathic Hospital.
He has authored two books, “Predictive Homoeopathy” and “The Theory of Acute diseases”. His literary
works offered him, Vidyeshwari Pratishthan’s “Scientist Award” in 1998.
He was honoured by the prestigious “Hahnemann Gaurav Puraskar” by Maharashtra Council of
Homoeopathy, for his contributions in Homoeopathy.
He has arranged various workshops, seminars all over India and abroad, to propagate Hahnemanian
Classical Homoeopathy.
He has given me moral support to learn modern pharmacology, to know the effects and side effects of
Allopathic medicine.
He emphasised that Covid19 is due to turbulence in Brhamand i.e. universe which we believe.
On his suggestions, many Municipal Corporations worked in their areas and came out successful in Covid19
pandemic.
Dr Vijayakar is an Alumni of our college. He has successfully completed MD (Hom) course from Sonajirao
Kshirsagar Homoeopathic Medical College, Beed. We are proud of that.
He has arranged regular camps in our college, for mentally and physically retarded children. He made his
not expert services available, free of cost, for needy patients in rural areas, in and around Beed. His demise
is only our personal loss. But I will say that it a loss for Homoeopathy.
I felt, he was the incarnation of Hahnemann in this era and we are felt like orphans by his sudden exit.
“Sir...Rest in Peace...You are really a torch bearer and a Genius in Homoeopathy...”
He will always be remembered.
We pray that God will give us strength to bear this loss.

In fond remembrance
Dear Ambrish,
Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved father. My
thoughts have been with you and your family, I cannot even come close to understanding the grief, pain
and sadness you all must feel.
I don’t know where to start really! It is such a shock still.
I will always cherish the memory of your respected father and keep him in my heart. I will never forget his
infectious smile, his small loving gestures towards patients and students alike, his humour and his humble
nature. He was a truly outstanding humanitarian.
I felt very quickly a deep connection, from the very first seminar in Regensburg. He welcomed each and
everyone with open arms, prepared to share his knowledge amongst anyone eager to learn.
It was fascinating to listen, watch and learn over the years; he knew how to unlock the most intrinsic ways
of the human mind, combining these findings with sciences and thus facilitating healing of the deepest
pathologies – ‘Mind of Pathology’ was born. Tirelessly he searched for an ever deeper understanding, to
refine his entry points for the most complicated cases. Without hesitation, your father was prepared to share
his knowledge, to pass it on to thousands of students in many countries, to grow and expand the Predictive
Homoeopathy Family, for the relief of suffers countless.
I never ever once saw him lose his patience with the most basic questions, even after long days in the
clinics, camps, or teaching. His love for Homoeopathy was so profound, his deep inner mission- a vocation
to relieve the suffering of mankind, no matter of what background! He founded and expanded the awe-
inspiring Hope for Hopeless Camps, his generosity to the poorest was legendary.
He tirelessly pushed the boundaries of understanding the universal art and science of healing through true
Hahnemanian Homoeopathy.
Homoeopathy has no limits
Everything is possible in Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy is like Mathematics
These were three of his axioms which he would repeat – I can still see him echoing those words his huge
smile. He profoundly increased the confidence in his students in the possibility of alleviating or even curing
severe pathologies.
I admired his honesty and humility - there was no failure, there was only a case which had to be painstakingly
retaken, stubbornly re-analysed and a better prescription given. It is so empowering for a young hhomoeopath
to see that not all cases are plain sailing, even for someone so gifted and experienced as your beloved dad.
In fond Remembrance of your beloved Father Dr Prafull Vijayakar
I will light a candle. May His spirit guide us in the future.

In Memorium
I saw Dr Vijayakar for the first time in Israel, 2002.
I was absolutely sure that it was impossible to go to Tel Aviv that year – it was not safe, the journey and
stay expensive, no time to issue visa. There were multiple obstacles, but destiny had another plan and
after a series of synchronicities and small miracles, we– two BG doctors-landed in Tel Aviv. Thanks to many
colleagues and friends in Bulgaria and Israel who made this journey possible.
On the day we met Dr Vijayakar and some of his assistants, we travelled together to Jerusalem, as if we
knew each other forever. We were so happy to be together, singing Indian songs in Jerusalem.
That was a funny experience, but next day at the seminar, it was wow! Homoeopathy and genetics,
embryology, physiology…My soul was singing, I was so grateful to be there and learn.
Then began our collaboration with Dr Vijayakar. It resulted in seminars at Mahabaleshwar, several seminars/
lectures from Predictive Homoeopathy in Bulgaria, translation of books, etc.
He came to Bulgaria in the spring of 2004. His seminar was a big success. We had more than 200 participants
from 15 countries. It was a real triumph for Homoeopathy and as one expects there were numerous hurdles
to cross before this success. There were problems with his visa for Bulgaria. It was a desperate situation
and when all our efforts failed and we could only pray, we got help in a miraculous way. Thanks God! We
learnt a lot and improved our practice.
In the next 18 years I have given hundreds of presentations quoting him. His street light schema (Psora-
green-physiological, Sycosis - yellow-constructive, Syphilitic-red-destructive) and the fact that this modern
physiology understanding was foreseen by Hahnemann centuries ago (para 75 from the Organon).
It helped me bring many hundreds of MD in Bulgaria, Macedonia and Turkey closer to Homoeopathy.
Allopathic doctors understood Homoeopathy better from his teachings, that there is a scientific basis and
it is worth studying.
Thanks to Dr Vijayakar, I visited India for the first time, I saw a Homoeopathic college and hospital for the
first time and met Homoeopaths with high quality work. Due to his teaching, the members of the Balkan
group who attended his Mahabaleshwar seminar during 2004 understood the concept of Homoeopathic
camp and how it is possible to help 400 people in one day with a good Homoeopathic team and good
organization.
I would like to say special thanks from all my Bulgarian colleagues to him and the whole team, for the
unforgettable moments of sharing knowledge, enthusiasm, uplifting time and love for Homoeopathy.
Peace and light to your soul, Dr Vijayakar.

In appreciation of
Vijayakar: The Man
I would like to take this opportunity to offer a humble tribute to my dear friend, respected colleague and a
great homoeopath, Dr Prafull Vijayakar.
I would like to share some memories which inspired me, taught me many things related to homoeopathy
and even guided me in life.
The first event that comes to mind was attending a seminar of his, where he had showed a patient having
AVN (avascular necrosis) getting cured purely with homoeopathy. To me it was very inspiring to see how
he cured it, because until that time I wasn’t sure whether such a grave disease like AVN, can be cured by
homoeopathy. But when I actually saw him curing it, I had the confidence to treat cases of AVN myself.
Likewise, amongst his many seminars, he showed multiple other cases where, deep pathologies were
healing with homoeopathy. This showed us a path to follow, whereby our confidence in homoeopathy was
doubled and we could take on the cases with deep pathology with a lot of zeal.
One more thing of him which influenced me was, his commitment to classical homoeopathy. Practising
based on single remedy principle and solid Materia Medica.
There were many homoeopaths who resorted to combinations and mixtures in homoeopathy. On the other
side there was this man, being completely determined to use the principles of the system, stood by classical
homoeopathy. and give marvellous results with it. This inspired several thousands of students to do likewise.
The second thing that amazed me: In those times where homoeopathy was still seen as an alternate
line of treatment, he had made an empire. Not satisfied just with his self-practice, but thinking big for
homoeopathy, he started a chain of clinics by the name of Predictive Homoeopathy, not only in Maharashtra
but across India, rural and urban. This made classical homoeopathy available to many patients and even
many students.
His Hope for Hopeless camps were something new. There he would, with his immense knowledge, treat
those cases of mentally and physically retarded children which otherwise would be given up, even by
eminent allopathic physicians. I would also like to bring to your notice here that, these camps were done on
a completely charitable basis. This showed the side of him which was very compassionate.
The crowd of students and budding practitioners coming to attend these camps were humongous, and
would always go away inspired by it. His seminars, his way of developing a team around him and then
making an empire of out of that, would always astonish me. I was in awe of his leadership qualities and
organizational capability.
Also, what comes to mind is his immaculate dressing style. I would always appreciate the way he would
carry himself. He always taught and showed his young students that a homoeopath doesn’t need to be
poor. He/she can afford to live luxuriously in style and in a dignified way with their head high. He was like an
icon and an ideal to many. This to me, would change the image of a homoeopath and homoeopathy. The
more valuable and skilful you are, the more self-confident you become.
There was a combination in him, of an exceptional homoeopath having outstanding knowledge, an exuberant

leader and a compassionate human being.
During my practice, I would want to bring homoeopaths together, share knowledge and grow together. So,
in my clinic at Santacruz (Mumbai) we would arrange a meeting where Dr Vijayakar, Dr Praful Barvellia,
Dr Jayesh Shah and myself, we would call 1 or 2 patients, take cases and also discuss on different cases.
I remember he was humble enough to bring his difficult cases, share it with us and indeed we would then
think together. It would be a great learning session.
Another part of his nature was his humorous side- he could laugh loudly and had the rare ability to laugh
at himself. I remember one case which he had shared, where he had gone to visit some patient. He was
very tired and not fully alert. He said, among many other complaints, he heard that the patient had a history
of malaria. And thus, on this history and few other indications he prescribed Cinchona to that patient. And
the patient did well on it. But later on, he got to know that he has misheard the patient. That it was not the
history of malaria, but it was malaena that the patient had. Thus, talking about this accidental success, he
had the knack to openly laugh on himself.
In the later times, we had an opportunity to do a seminar together, where we spoke together and there
was a nice “taal-mel” between us. Seeing these qualities in him, such as his assertiveness, determination,
endurance, conviction in his science, courage to face the odds, an open heart of sharing knowledge and
many more, I called him “The Lion of Homoeopathy” and thus now people use this terminology. I would
always felt it described him aptly.
He would always say, “Knowledge always increases by sharing.” “Body always speaks the language of
mind.” And thus, practice what he would preach in real sense. But the most striking quote to me was as
follows:
He would always put feeling in young homoeopaths, by saying “Homoeopathy is such a divine science,
that it’s not we who choose to be a homoeopath, but it’s homoeopathy which chooses us”. This to me only
showed immense love for his system of medicine.
He thus was, is and will always be very endearing to us
The impact which he had on us is indeed very deep and we wish his beacon would guide us further in our
own lives.

Dr. Prafull Vijayakar and

The HMAI
My first memory goes way back to July 2000, when The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, Gujarat
State Branch, organised a two-day residential workshop with Dr Prafull Vijayakar at Saputara, the only hill-
station in Gujarat. The delegates, nearly 40 of them, from all over Gujarat with 10 to 30 years of classical
homoeopathic practice under their belt. Dr Vijayakar arrived late at night, having driven through torrential
rains in a swanky new car, (he greatly enjoyed driving, music, travelling, poetry…) accompanied by Dr
Narendra Mehta and Dr Sucheta Desai.
The workshop began, next morning, cold fog brewing outside, with his presentation of Theory of Suppression,
going from seven layers of suppression to Second prescription, to Science of genetic constitutional
similimum to different types of suppressions. He had emphasised that “all the glitter is not gold and all that
disappears is not cure!”. Each was explained in great detail and supported by evidence-based- cases.
The excitement of the delegates from his gleaming presentation, was palpable. From learning about the
enormous possibility of fresher ways to understand and the ability to successfully treat cases which many
would have thought impossible. The way he reasoned each case, citing references from Materia Medica,
Repertory and Organon, had never been heard before by many of the attendees. For two days, drenched
in the pouring knowledge, they trekked avenue after avenue of learning and possibilities of “treating the
untreatable”. Not just during the active session, but also at breakfast, lunch, dinner and well into the
late nights. I believe this to be the seed of his yet to come hugely successful residential workshops at
Mahabaleshwar.
I recall his presentation of a case of cerebral pathology treated with remedy “Methylene Blue” (many of the
attendees were unaware of the scope of the remedy) and the recovery of a nearly invalid patient to a fully
functional person. This and all the other cases, enthused delegates with a renewed vigour of confidence in
Homoeopathy.
In 2005, a National Homoeopathic Conference was organised by The Council of Homoeopathic system of
medicine, Gujarat, along with The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, to commemorate 250th Birth
Anniversary of Master Dr Samuel Hahnemann, inaugurated by the speech and blessings of Shri Narendra
Modi.
Dr Vijayakar then took to the podium saying: “it’s difficult to say anything after that, it’s like going to bat after
Sachin Tendulkar…” He went on to present case after case demonstrating wonderful cures. The delegates
wished that his lectures would never end — It was like the mesmeric batting of Sir Donald Bradman!
December 2007, 15th All India Homoeopathic Scientific Seminar in Rajkot, the homoeopathic fraternity
witnessed another thrilling experience. Dr Vijayakar presented Management of Acute cases, a series of
cases with miraculous evidence. If I am not mistaken, it was this seminar where Dr Rajan Sankaran, a co-
speaker of the session, called him “The Lion of Homoeopathy”. The delegates were in such awe that it was
difficult for him to come out of auditorium due to being thronged. The beeline of excited students wished to
see, ask and simply be near the source of such knowledge and inspiration.
Dr Vijayakar possessed a photographic memory. Once he noticed the recently published Synthetic

Repertory in the hand of a student. He borrowed the book for a day and then returned it the next. During
the course of the subsequent sessions at his clinic, he gave References from that, of multiple remedies,
with their grades in each rubric!
He was a keen observer too, a cardinal requirement for a Homoeopath. I recollect another incident where
an assistant doctor took a case for nearly an hour yet remained unable to decide the remedy. When he
and patient went to Dr Vijayakar, who took one look at the patient said, “Give him Pulsatilla”. Sensing the
confusion of the assistant he reasoned, “Observe, he has one-sided perspiration on his face — Pulsatilla.”
Scores of homoeopathic practitioners have been trained by him, through personal tutelage, seminars,
workshops, and his books and each one of them draw confidence in homoeopathic science. Works like
Theory of Suppression, Theory of Acutes, The End of Myasmtion of Miasms, Homoeopathy and Modern
Science along with other publications of Predictive homoeopathy Institute, became the foundation of
mathematical perfection for efficacious Homoeopathic Practice.
Through his untimely demise, the science has lost the fiercest protagonist of homoeopathy, but his teachings
remain to learn from and be able to generate the “Hope for the Hopeless”, for generations to come.I,
on behalf of the Central secretariat of The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, offer my deepest
condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, followers, and friends.

The Man with Mathematica

Homoeopathica
We have been learning and teaching from the first year of college that Homoeopathy is an art and science.
And everything from case taking, analysis, evaluation, rubric formation to repertorization and remedy
selection is an ART.
In nineties, someone said its Homoeopathy's Mathematics. And that was something new. Our friends, the
HMAI Gujarat state branch office bearers, decided to invite a Man saying, “Homoeopathy is Mathematics.”
It was the first seminar of Dr Prafull Vijayakar at Saputara June 2000.
His presentation was quite different. He explained the flow chart of acutes with minimum pointers, namely,
• Activity
• Activity –Thermal – Thirst – AXIS
• Conscientious – Diligent
• Diligent and non-diligent remedies
This was all to decide acute remedy. Rather this was THE MATHEMATIC TOTALITY in acute cases.
Though one may not agree with his calculation, but he did show cured cases as per his mathematics.
In every field, at times there is an individual, who stands up to say something different in a different manner.
He was one to talk different in Homoeopathy.
He talked with conviction, dedication and commitment. He talked about medical science in depth, with
reference to various branches of medical science.
He explained the basis of the homoeopathy with reference to Genetics and Miasm.
He is a pioneer in this scientific explanation through his famous “Dr Vijayakar’s chart of suppression” the
seven layers of suppression of disease. Hering’s law is taught in institutions to explain the process of cure.
But here Dr Vijayakar co-related it with embryology.
He had tremendous belief in himself and talked with conviction.
We listened to his new ideas, new forecasting and newer way to select remedy. Still, I remember an unusual
talk [at Saputara seminar in 2000], to decide the action of remedy.
He said that one of his patients from Orissa took his medicine and rang him after fifteen days that he got
the job, for which he was trying since long.
Dr. Vijayakar told that his medicine is working, so that cosmos is helping him.
And that’s what he was.
His Positivity and conviction in his own self was impressive. This quality is not to the extreme of the fanatic,
it was just because he thought he was RIGHT.
He has written in one of his books:
“Homoeopathy is ‘mathematics’ this is what I always quote. By this I mean that there is no scope for uncertainty
in homoeopathy. Practice like mathematics if all ‘signs’ and the figures are taken into consideration and the
equation between the drug picture and patients’ picture is well balanced, cure is imminent. To be a good
homoeopath ‘mathematical calculations’ and ‘analysis’ of the situation is very important.”
And he worked, taught and practised accordingly.

He used the word “Predictive homoeopathy” in a unique way. Usually, physicians talk with caution when
they explain the treatment and its outcome to the patient. Dr Prafull talked of predicting of the outcome
of the treatment. He correlated life sciences, particularly embryology, anatomy and biology with disease
evolution and Miasm. He said that if homoeopathy is practised in this scientific way, it is as accurate as
mathematics.
We may or not agree with his theories, but we can agree that he created a wave of predictive homoeopathy
and he roared like a lion to express his theory. He was “One of the most vociferous face of Homoeopathy.”
He will be remembered for making a slogan: “Homoeopathy is Mathematics”

My Memories with Prafull

It dates back to 1993, when I got first acquainted with Dr Vijayakar, who was the president of Mumbai
branch of IIHP then. I met him in connection with the IIHP seminar. We few doctors from Khanna, Punjab
visited Dr Vijayakar’s clinic where we found a real homoeopathic practice. We saw one case of Tuberculosis
successfully treated with Cina 200, which astonished all of us. This first meeting with Dr Vijayakar was a
turning point in my life to learn and practice homoeopathy in this classical and scientific way.
Then we invited him to conduct a seminar at Khanna which was his first out-of- Mumbai seminar. In 1994,
he brought his wife, his assistants and delivered a memorable oration.
Dr Avtar Aneta, Dr Arvind Vij and I, would sit for hours together at night to study/restudy homoeopathy. We
would call him at his clinic to clarify confusing points and he encouraged us to study homoeopathy from text
books of Masters only.
Dr Rama Kant Jagpal, Gursharan, Dr Kuldeep, Dr SS Mavi from Jalandhar, would visit us and stay to learn
from Predictive homoeopathy teaching.
Dr Prafull Vijayakar, Dr Narender Mehta, Dr Desai, Dr Reshamwala etc would visit Khanna enroute to
Amritsar, Vaishno Devi, Dalhousi etc along with their families. We took the opportunity to accompany his
group and learn from him.
Once we organised a seminar for allopathic physicians of district Ludhiana at Khanna, where Dr Vijayakar
presented his contributions, remarkable cases and satisfied allopathic doctors in respect of scientific
explanation of homoeopathy. This definitely boosted Homeopathic doctors’ image in the medical fraternity
of our city. We visited Mumbai often in connection with IIHP functions. Dr Arvind Vij and I learnt practical
homoeopathy at his clinic and once we spent two weeks. His first book ‘Theory of suppression’ was
first released at Khanna. We learnt his Acute chart from his assistants, Dr Ashish and Dr Savita Pandit.Dr
JBD Castro, the legendary Homeopathic physician from Chandigarh, was impressed with Dr Vijayakar’s
teachings.Dr Vijayakar sir referred us to Dr Ajit Kulkarni from Satara to learn more about the true system of
homoeopathy. We invited Dr Ajit Kulkarni to Khanna and organised seminars there.
In Aug 2005, I fell from a ladder and fractured my spinal cord; I was in pain and bedridden. Arnica,
Hypericum, Symphytum gave partial relief. Even allopathic painkillers by ortho specialist gave temporary
relief. I consulted Dr Vijayakar who noted my symptoms on phone and prescribed me a single dose of
Bellis-per which has given me relief till today.
My last meeting with Dr Vijayakar was on 16 Jan 2020, at his home where my younger son Dr Vipul also
spent a happy time with his family and talked about his latest practice.
With the untimely death of Dr Vijayakar, I have lost a very good friend, my mentor, an elder brother.
Lastly, I want to give you a message. We doctors must be health conscious and first must be true to
ourselves and take care of our own health.
EDITORA: and truer words were not spoken.. it never fails to make me sad when we lose one of our own
in an allopathic hospital without being able to address our own health issues.

Our Cheerful Conqueror

I recall my 300 km drive from Delhi to Khanna, back in 1996 to attend a lecture by Dr Prafull Vijayakar; like
a reincarnation of Dr Hahnemann- his mesmerizing oratory skill with clear-cut perception of the Organon,
which enthralled the large audience. Three other Homoeopathic stalwarts from Delhi accompanying me
however, didn’t continue further but, I had my own urge to absorb some Homeopathic wisdom flowing from
him. It continued until the unfortunate day, December 17, 2020 that so blatantly took away this legend who,
in all perfection, was a ‘Hope for the Hopeless’.
I had asked him once in a seminar about the higher purpose of life. His spontaneous reply was, “…as I have
evolved you, so should you try to evolve others”.
Every seminar was unique and so classical that it brought a new desire for learning, adding a new dimension
as regards our approach towards the ‘cases of slipping hopes’.
When Dr Vijayakar introduced Dr Hamer in a lecture at Mahabaleshwar, it proved to be a turning point in
understanding Cancer and other pathologies. He was amazingly generous in sharing what he had. Every
lecture had illustrations of the concept which was so well perceived, that it was an eye opener and unique
experience.
I remember an instance when I went to attend his conference. Before the start, I pondered “what was I there
to gain?” But as Dr Vijayakar appeared on the stage and elaborated on the concept of conflict during first
trimester of pregnancy could cause anatomical anomaly, in second it can hamper the physiology and in
third affect sensory issues and so on; I regretted thinking so. Nevertheless, it proved to be a turning point for
me and I decided to organise a ‘Hope for the Hopeless’ camp in Delhi. With his inspiration ‘Asha-ki-Kiran’,
a genetic disorder camp started in December 2015 on a quarterly basis. He always encouraged me saying
that he was supportive of this effort. I could feel his blessings each time since the spirit of this camp was
his inspiration.
He will be remembered always for his unique efforts and camps ‘Hope for the Hopeless’.
I always felt that he was a part of my family and he was always there when I needed him the most. In 2016,
when my father was in coma, his intervention brought him back to life at that critical juncture. Also, I can
never forget his words full of solace when my father left the world much later.
During Dr Nipun’s (my son) treatment I was in regular and frequent contact with him till November 15, 2020.
His every call and distant remedial instructions was a learning opportunity. Although the mighty destiny took
away dear Nipun from us on November 30, 2020, I can never forget Dr Vijayakar’s immense and constant
support during that hard time.
Last year when I met him in his clinic in Mumbai, that thirty minutes interaction is a memory which I will
always cherish.
Dr Vijayakar’s presence will always be there in the form of his thousands of disciples. His legacy will
continue seamlessly. I can only say that such a Soul rarely visits the Earth and we will continue to see
and feel Dr Hahnemann through him. His sharing on variety of fine and complex subjects, his efforts,
his actions and above all his way to serve Homoeopathy.

Reminiscence with Dr
Prafull Vijayakar
I will never utter Dr Prafull Vijayakar as Late Dr Prafull Vijayakar since his memories are so embedded in
my mind that I can sense his presence in spite of his physical absence. I have witnessed his uninterrupted
progress as one of the top most Homoeopathic physician in the world.
My association with him began from 1970 when we were students in the then Bombay Homoeopathic
Medical College, Mumbai. Since then till date we maintained most cordial relationship as friend and
professional colleague.
Wherever he was there, his presence made the whole environment dynamic and lively. His contribution to
the world of Homoeopathy is unique and unparalleled.
You all know that he started his practice as an allopath since he inherited this from three generations of
his family. Like any conscious and sensitive person he was also not satisfied with the untoward effects of
allopathic system of medicine. He switched on to homoeopathic system of medicine.
Initially he was practicing with combinations of homoeopathic medicines. In this type of practice also he was
not satisfied since he was sensitive to the principles of homoeopathic system of medicine. He then began
to practice single medicine and single dose. no repetition method till last.
While practicing traditional approach he could sense that Dr Samuel Hahnemann’s Organon approach to
arrive at Similimum, though perfect, required to be simplified for the benefit of young budding doctors. He
made a simple chart for acute and chronic disease which can be followed easily.
Simultaneously he also developed an art of perceiving a drug through face reading and physiognomy but
he always confirmed the same with the factual data of patient’s history. This was the beginning of achieving
heights of success further.
He was the chairman of IIHP ie all India qualified doctor’s association, for number of years and delivered
fruitful lectures and seminar for thousands of students.
Being thinker and genius he realized the importance of miasms in practice. He was the first homoeopathic
physician to correlate Miasm with embryology and demonstrated how diseases progress and express in
particular organ or system depending on their origin from three basic components of embryology Ecto, Endo
and Mesoderm. He did not believe in Tubercular Miasm since he was ardent follower of Dr Hahnemann’s
and never accepted Tubercular Miasm or any new miasms later on evolved.
He devised 7 layers of evolution of diseases in human being and integrated with Herring’s law of direction
of evolution of disease and cure. By this approach we can predict the future course of the disease or cure.
This he named as “Predictive Homoeopathy”
At this stage his spiritual, intuitive and predictive mind evolved so much that he became a master prescriber
and cured hundreds of cases like Cancer, Motor neuron disorders, Congenital disorders etc. He became
life savior of so many patients.
Once he was treating a paralyzed patient who was brought in wheel chair by relatives, and during interview
with him it was known that patient was spiritual master from small town of Maharashtra. This patient used
to heal large number of people of his town and was very famous.

Dr Prafull after hearing his life story told him to leave his activity of healing people. The patient was surprised
as to how he can stop such activity where every day hundreds of patients are in long queue waiting for
hours to receive his blessings?
Dr Prafull explained him how the spiritual energy that this patient gained through Yogic Sadhna is getting
diminished since he had no time to refill that energy by continues Sadhna. In doing so he utilized much
more energy than what was in store. This had detrimental effect on his body. Becoming paralyzed was the
reflection of overuse of his Spiritual Energy that he possessed. In fact his spiritual energy was exhausting
and made him paralyzed as defense mechanism to conserve his spiritual energy. It was a signal to pause
his activity. What a great insight that Dr Prafull could perceive and delivered to paralyzed Spiritual Guru.
During last 10 years I had opportunity to sit with when my referred cases were waiting outside for hours for
their turn to come. This was golden time for me to observe and understand his thinking process and logic in
prescribing similimum. While prescribing he was so confident that he used to tell every patient, irrespective
of any grave disease that they suffered, that they would get cured 100% that too in given time.
During practice, he had at least 10 assistance who used to screen patients first and then he used to go
through history of patient in few minutes. Then he used to prescribe medicine after inquiring some data
that he needed to prescribe or confirm the medicine that he had in his mind. He used to discuss for long
time with his students and till they were not satisfied he continued to discuss. Besides this he was also
surrounded by large number of Indian and foreign students of homoeopathy.
His enthusiasm, love for teaching, compassion for patients, confidence in prescribing the remedy and
predicting patient’s future course of illness were all overwhelming. He was a truly dedicated and honest
teacher and physician.
His mastery over Miasms and interpretation of dreams was really meaningful and co-related perfectly with
patients symptoms, pathology and life situation respectively.
He was professional in practice but also treated thousands of patients free of charge and held camps in the
vicinity of poor patients in villages and small towns. He was like Masiha for them. I saw him being blessed
by them and they fell at his feet with hearty gratitude and at times with tears.
He used to send his subordinates to the house of poor or rich patients for follow up when patients could not
come to his clinic. He created tremendous faith and hope to all the patients curable or incurable. He was
Hope for Hopeless not by words but by deeds too. Hope for Hopeless became his Mission.
He believed only in curing patients irrespective of any disease acute or chronic, curable or incurable,
reversible or irreversible, pathological or non-pathological that they suffered. After prescribing medicine his
body language appeared as if he is pouncing on the disease of the patient through Similimum. He is rightly
called as the Lion of Homoeopathy. He would not leave any stone unturned till last to achieve cure in every
patient.
He has written number of books to make homoeopathic practice easy and apply Dr Hahnemann’s
Homoeopathy.
He was very popular and successful in all the parts of world where Homoeopathy is practiced.
His practice and his approach was integration of Dr Samuel Hahnemann ’s guideline, Dr JT Kent’s Phil oso-
phy and HMM, Dr CM Boger’s approach, Dr William Boerrick’s t her apeut ics, Dr HC Allen’s Keynotes and
finally portrait of various medicines evolved by him through years of experience. There was no scope of
speculation or imagination in perceiving patients or prescribing a medicine. He hardly used unknown or
uncommon medicines.

I have perceived in him Spiritual, Philosophical and philanthropic attitude, Conscious, Conscience and
Confidence, Benevolence, Guru in all senses, highly Sensitive and Sensible and full of positive Energy
within him.
He used to tell me how he has experienced the blessings of many spiritual saints. I saw a huge photo of
Swami Gajananbaba of Sehgao Maharashtra in his consulting chamber just behind him on left side of his
chair. Besides this we used to talk about Saibaba of Shirdi, Swami Samarth of Sholapur, and Mehar baba
of Amravati and so on. I could sense blessings of these great saints on him when I used to sit with him and
he seeing patients and prescribing.
We have attended each other’s seminars held by my Homoeopathic Education and Research Institute
Mumbai and his Predictive Homoeopathy. We were nearest when he used to come at Sonajirao Kshirsagar
Homoeopathic Medical College, Beed Maharashtra from where he did MD (Hom) and used to conduct
seminars and camp. We were both open to each other’s viewpoints in homoeopathic concepts and with
complete respect. Many times our prescriptions were same and he was overjoyed at that time.
I must admit that his reasoning, facts and concepts of patient’s history, framing totality and prescribing a
medicine were all on the basis of Organon and teaching of Dr Samuel Hahenemann. His repertorisation and
interpretation of symptoms of patient in to reportorial rubric was just marvelous.
His whole practice over all was operating on the axis of Embryology, Miasm, Hering’s Law of direction of
cure, Predictive Homoeopathy and Hope for Hopeless.
Though we met infrequently in person but our communication on phone was regular till before lockdown. I
don’t remember we had any talk between us other than Homeopathy. Listening to him gave me more and
more confidence. This is true for all those who heard him throughout world.
His dream was to have a Homoeopathic college in Maharashtra where his Predictive Homoeopathy is
taught, throughout the duration of training period formulated by concerned medical university. The syllabus
and curriculum be prepared as per the requirement of the Predictive Homoeopathy. He was constantly
making efforts for the same. However this could not be fulfilled due to his untimely death. The true homage
to him will be to establish homoeopathic education system where integrative training program can be de-
viced by unified efforts of all the different schools of thoughts appearing different but have same platform
on which they are evolved i.e. Dr Samuel Hahnemann’s t eaching.
I have witnessed Dr Vishpala Parthsarthy’s presentations where she demonstrated number of cases that
can be successfully perceived by all the known approaches and Similimum can be arrived perfectly.
NJH can lead this activity under guidance of Dr Vishpala and I am sure all the different schools will cooper-
ate. The aim should be ‘How to decide which approach is best suitable to a case one encounters.’
When I heard of his Covid 19 illness I was taken aback but could not contact him at all till I received news
of his heavenly departure. I will ever regret for this and miss him for life time.
All the above mentioned innovative ideas he demonstrated through hundreds of cases in seminars through-
out the world.
My deep condolence to Dr Prafull Vijayakar’ family and the team of Predictive Homoeopathy.

We Lost Prafull...
We have lost the Lion of Homeopathy, the great legend, Dr Prafull Vijayakar. In this painful moment of
intense grief, we share the sorrow.
I recall various interactions I had over years, great learning moments for me. Extremely, positive, dynamic
and confident; The Great teacher who has inspired many.
This confidence was not bravado or swagger but natural expression of his ability, expertise, immense faith
in his belief system and basic self-esteem. Some years back I did participate in case discussion meetings
over live difficult cases, with Dr Vijayakar, Dr Rajan and Dr Jayesh at Dr Rajan’s clinic. This provided a rich
learning platform. What I had seen was his sharp observations and very quick correlations: “the capacity
and habit of noticing carefully and correctly the phenomena that take place in natural diseases (Medical
Observer)”. In a single breath, he will evolve the portrait with differentiation. “Merc-sol is thirsty, Merc-cor
is thirstless, Merc-sol is inflammatory, Merc-cor is destructive. But when this is accompanied by spirituality,
higher purpose quest then it is Cinnabaris-Merc-sulfide”. He had good command on facts, sharp analysis
and strong conceptualization. Above all he had a great zeal to share. He will always be remembered for how
he was able to seamlessly blend the biological questions-Embryology and Genetics- he so passionately
pursued and correlated with Homoeopathy.
Above all I have always seen him as very warm person. For years to come, even in difficult and turbulent
time for Homoeopathy, his work will keep guiding us.

Remembering Vijayakar
I have been a complete witness to Dr Prafull Vijayakar journey for his transition from allopathic practice to
homeopathic practice in multiple drugs and combinations to a single medicine prescription.
These transitions happened after his case of Lac-caninum which included single medicine and then there
was no looking back then.
In college days we use to play table tennis together and he was my table tennis doubles partner. We had
wonderful memories of those college days.
This shift happened because of his ability to grasp fast, learn from the mistakes and come out with excellent
results.
I have also watched his journey from being a very timid individual to a state of lion in homeopathy.
I still remember the incidence which he narrated to me when his father was taking him by a flight, as a child
he was so scared he did not enter the plane, he cried and he had to be taken back.
Because he was a good learner he developed confidence of managing patients and delivering desired
results. He was always willing to take challenge in difficult, incurable cases and helped them with his
prescriptions.
Major shift happened when he started his Predictive School and taught more than 2000 people all over to
follow his theory of genetics, miasm and prescription with a predictive result.
His devotion to the patients was phenomenal. He would work from morning 10 O’ clock till 12.00 clock
midnight. He could imbibe confidence and results in his followers and most of them are good clinicians and
prescribers, who are capable of delivering results
I suggest a week-long series should be done in his memory starting on his birthday where each one shares
their evidence based cases with results and we should make it reach globally.
I am willing to offer services of my 3 organisations to plan and execute it so that it reaches to at least 110
countries across the globe.
We pray for his soul that again he is reborn for homoeopathy.

Tribute to Dr Vijayakar
It was around 1990-91 when I joined Government Homoeopathic Hospital, Mumbai to learn Homoeopathy.
Newly graduated with no experience, I was sceptical about my future. But all the doubts disappeared as I
worked under the able guidance of Dr Prafull Vijayakar the Shahenshah of Homoeopathy.
His entry in the OPD would create a positive wave in the patients and confidence in learners like me.
His approach towards the patient was unique. His method to reach to the root cause of the disease was
very interesting. His repertorial knowledge and its application to find the Similimum with Materia Medica
knowledge always amazed us. His ever smiling face was absolutely infectious and it created a confident
path to many like me. I was very lucky to see him grow with his clear vision, thought process and concepts
of suppression, Miasm and its application. There have been many great homoeopathic physicians who
have been excellent teachers of Homoeopathy, but touching the core and soul of Hahnemanian thinking
and converting it to scientific base is not an ordinary man’s work. Practical use of the cardinal principles laid
down by Dr Hahnemann along with perfect utilization of Hering’s Law of direction of cure, in each case and
its follow up, is his greatest contribution.
Every time he talked about the mathematical certainty of Homoeopathy as expected by Dr Hahnemann,
referring to foot note 120 of Organon [6th edition]. He never believed in the trial and error method of
prescription. In his practice he proved every prescription with mathematical certainty .This scientific method
of thought process was the very reason why he could predict the progress of the patient –and thus his born
the name Predictive Homoeopathy.
I am fortunate to have seen his Love for Homoeopathy and Homoeopaths. This was the reason why many
students from all over the world would come to learn. Sir has visited my home and clinic with Dr Gisella
(from Germany). Not only was he a hope for hopeless patients, but also to many students and practitioners.
I am blessed to have been associated with one who understood and defended Homoeopathy both as an
art and as a science.

Dr Ambrish, Preetiji, and All Family members,
The news of sudden untimely demise of our beloved Guru, Dr Praful Vijayakar, is a great shock to the whole
Homoeopathic world and me.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences and prayers, that his soul rests in peace.
May God give you all strength and courage, to cope with this great Loss.
He was indeed a beautiful soul, a very dynamic teacher, full of enthusiasm, love
and Stalwart Homoeopath, who made us solve a case like mathematics.
I would like to share his touching gesture.
On 24th September 2000, I was at the Predictive Homoeopathic Conference and it was my 50th Birthday.
My family wanted to celebrate in Mumbai, but I had chosen to attend this conference as my present to
myself.
On that day at dinner, suddenly a cake was put in front of me Dr Vijayakar and all his team surprised me,
wished me and celebrated my birthday. I was overwhelmed, with tears in my eyes, touched by his gesture.
I was indeed humbled. How loving and caring he was. He will virtually, always be with us, shining prominently

My journey with the Legend

It’s really painful to write and pay Tribute to the Legend Dr Prafull Vijayakar sir. He was a Divine person, so
dedicated to Homoeopathy, his patients and students. He touched so many lives in different ways.
After long tiring hours he would smile while going home.
Here is my journey with him---
I am from a small town and was doing BHMS in Jabalpur MP. When I was in 2nd or 3rd year (2011) I was
so confused about miasms and was not able to understand them. Then I went to a book shop just to see
books related to Miasms and I saw one written by our beloved sir End of My assumptions of Miasms. I think
that was the luckiest day of my life. I started reading it and to my surprise it was very easy to understand,
it opened my eyes to Homoeopathy can be so Scientific and Mathematic. After reading it, I thought that
I have to meet him. I started reading about him and his books regularly. He is the only Homoeopath
who has created a bridge between life sciences like embryology, biochemistry, physiology, pathology with
Homoeopathy. He gave scientific explanation for Hering’s law with the help of embryology which is usually
ignored in our practice.
Then in 2012 I attended the first module in Mumbai, I met him and the next day he gave the lecture on the
last day of our module though he was so tired after his OPD, yet he came with full energy. That feeling I
could not express, what I felt while he was teaching us. I was on cloud Nine. It’s rightly said When You
Want Something All The Universe Conspires In Helping You To Achieve It.
That day I decided will come back to Mumbai to learn directly from him.
Then in 2014 I joined CCPH and after one year, I asked him directly “Sir I want to assist you”, he was so
humble and said “yeah dear you can assist me”. It was the biggest day for me.
It was not an easy journey, being from a small town, my parents were reluctant for me to go to Mumbai, but
after sometime they agreed, but just for one year. I was determined that I will not go back until I assist the
Legend.
By God’s grace, I assisted him for four and half years, the best days of my life, witnessing the marvellous
cures, day in and day out.
We never got bored in the OPD as there was always a new learning everyday and we were evolving.
It would be always a state of goose bumps when we see his miraculous results in critical pathological
hopeless cases which we never imagined.
He was the person that even at his age, he would get up early and study. And he never stopped learning
from small things, every moment, be it movies, shows, books etc. He always taught different approaches
until we learnt that and then, he comes up with some new approach.
He always said that you have not chosen Homoeopathy but Homoeopathy has chosen you, so you
all are destined for that.
Being in his presence was a blessing, his Aura makes us so positive, he was the inspiration for all students,
doctors and patients. He always celebrated his life.
He would enjoy every festival and we were lucky to be part of them.During Ganpati Festival he always
welcomed us in his home, his birthday was our Annual day, where we would perform for him, and he

appreciated it every time.
He not only taught us Homoeopathy, but the way of living. He always asked us to be a good human being
first and then a doctor. To be compassionate with patients, work with conscience. In his Hope for Hopeless
camps (cases of genetic disorders like Down’s Syndrome, Congenital Heart Diseases, Autism, CP, MR etc)
he treated thousands of patients successfully with the same spirit, ever smiling face. I still remember after
every camp he would ask us all “Are you tired? Or still see patients?” and the whole crowd would say “No
Sir we are full of energy”. It is all because of him what we are today, we are able to help mankind. On my
first day he told us- “ learn by heart not by brain” and now I can realize why. He has given us reason for our
existence and showed us the right and perfect path which always gives a sense of satisfaction.
I wish that this journey could have been longer. He was like a father to me, he gave lots of love and affection
to us.
Blessed to be his student.
He will live in our hearts, in his teachings, our cures. He is the guiding light to whom we owe everything.
He touched so many lives in different way. There are different stories connected to him and this is my story.
This can’t be written fully with just the help of these words.
His quote which reflected his whole life and he said to patients-
“Life means fight. when you love your life you fight for it and when you fight you live.”
He always fought for Homoeopathy and he was a torch bearer for it.
Because of him I gained so much confidence and started practising the right way of Homoeopathy.
We will always miss you Sir. I promise I will walk in your footprints only, as your life is full of inspiration for
us.

All of us need help sometime in our life as no one is truly self-made. It begins with parents, but there are
many others who may refine you and help you to achieve success and wisdom. They are the true mentors,
Guru!
It is still not sinking in that our Beloved Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, is not with us. It is unbelievable that we have
lost a true legend, the LION of Homoeopathy.
I have been very blessed and fortunate to have met Dr Prafull Vijayakar Sir, who not only taught us Right
Homoeopathy, but also how to be a good Human being. He taught us how to live life.
I do not have any words to describe the irreparable loss that the Homoeopathy community has faced. It’s
a void that no one can fill!
I can still recall my first encounter with Sir in a seminar during my 2nd year BHMS, where he showed
different incurable pathologies, treated them with Homoeopathy with ease. I was so mesmerised by that
seminar and it had such an impact, that I was clear on the path to take for my career and life. He was so
enthusiastic and passionate about Homoeopathy which I had not experienced while studying in college.
Dr Prafull Sir made Homoeopathy so easy, emphasised the fact that Homoeopathy is Mathematics and
proved it with results.
In my family, my mom, uncle and aunts suffer from a neurological genetic illness known as Adult Onset
Leuco-Dystrophy. After the first seminar that I attended, I was confident that there is indeed a Hope for my
ailing family to overcome this illness. I managed to get an appointment with Dr Prafull Sir, and today, I am
blessed to be one of his Panel doctors, serving his cause. I had the chance to experience those magical
results first-hand with my aunt and mom.
Every follow-up with Dr Prafull Sir, was so encouraging and mesmerising and I always looked forward to
meeting him as I would always come home with some learning.
Dr Prafull Sir always emphasised spreading knowledge and not to contain it. He motivated us to share his
experiences with everyone.
He was a true visionary who combined genetics with Homoeopathy and gave a scientific approach to
Homoeopathy. It is only because of his teachings, that young Homoeopaths like me, are confidently able to
treat incurable pathologies, that have no scope in Allopathy.
I remember, after an amazing follow-up, we assistants would be awestruck by the results and Sir would
always say “Saw it? Homoeopathy is so easy?”He was one who could make the impossible possible,
especially in congenital illness and he has proved in his “Hope for the Hopeless” camps, which was run all
over India treating all the hopeless cases, free of charge.
Dr Prafull Sir, always emphasized that the scope of Homoeopathy is the Homoeopath himself. It is the
Homoeopath that fails, and not Homoeopathy. His teaching and approach have had a great impact on my
personal practice.
He was a father figure to me, inaugurated and entrusted to me his Predictive Homoeopathy clinic branch to
handle. I cannot thank him enough, and I am totally indebted to Sir. He helped me strive for goals. I found
guidance, a wealth of knowledge, discipline and love, in one person, Dr Prafull Sir.
The biggest tribute to Prafull Sir, will be to not let the fire ignited by him go down, but to carry the light

forward and spread his teachings of Right Homoeopathy in the world. He showed us in the true sense, how
he took the road less travelled. Dr Prafull Sir, always believed that One should Learn and have the Courage
to swim against the tide.
We have always read about Pioneers, great people and their work in our curriculum, but I am so grateful to
witness and work alongside a Legend. Death cannot take you away Dear Sir, you will always remain in our
hearts. I know that you will always continue to guide us!!

Dr Praful Vijayakar sir is not only “Guru” but also a great person, a person of kindness, sensitiveness,
politeness. Though his work in Homoeopathic world is vast, he was always down-to-earth. His way of
teaching was very simple, including all Homoeopathic Laws & Principles in easy language. His students &
practitioners were excited to hear him.
In Predictive Homoeopathy, he conducted many courses, like modules/ SCPH pluse/CCPH & conducted
many camps like “Hope for Hopeless”. He opened the eyes of many Homoeopathic students and
practitioners. Because of him many doctors were excited for Homoeopathic practice following the laws &
principles with single dose, single remedy practice. His passing away has left a vacuum which is a great
loss to Homoeopathic world.
He is like a PARAS (paras patthar), whoever came in his contact, their life became of gold.
We really miss you sir.

My Homage to a Legend
As homage to a Legendary homoeopath, teacher & philanthropist Dr Prafull Vijayakar sir, I wish to pen
down this note as a witness to his exemplary life and work. His day started with a busy clinic, patients in
heavy numbers from various parts of the country & globe. The weekends were with his students and rest
of the time (hardly any) for himself and family. He worked to understand the secrets of universe and on
intricacies in homoeopathy, to pass on his ideas and wisdom. To the future generations of homoeopathy.
He was a trend setter who gave a touch of glamour and respect to the homoeopathic fraternity.
Young homoeopaths would flock around his chair to see him, eager to believe that
homoeopathy works. They would get surprised seeing his ability to predict the
prognosis and see it turn, dumb struck when they saw same results in follow ups.
One experience and teaching which I will never forget is of a pt, an old lady who always peeped inside
his cabin to get his attention. As usual, he asked assistants to call her in. She came with ailments of left
side ( writing her diagnosis will reveal the identity). As a thumb rule he asked her about her problems with
children and home. She burst into tears saying that of her 3 sons, all are abroad; one hasn’t talked to her for
2 years, ever since he got married and purchased a new house. She was sobbing and saying that neither
did he answer her call nor call her himself. “I don’t know what makes him do this or what mistake did I do.”
Having heard her patiently, undoubtedly medicine was given to cure but he explained to her that there’s
a particular discontinuation in the wall on the eastern side of son’s newly purchased house (Vaastu)
which is why he’s unable to talk, not that her son didn’t love her. She sighed and seemed relieved. After
she left, he turned towards us (assistants and juniors) saying “never ever tell an Indian mother that
her son doesn’t like her. Don’t create differences in mother-son relation by saying bad about her son.
It is equally essential that you learn these things from me apart from techniques, rubrics, remedies”.
His work within this life span is fodder for several generations of homoeopaths to come.
Behind his toughness lies his love, which is as soft as a milk skin for fellow homoeopaths and humanity.
His legacy and teachings will never go in vain and now the legacy
will be continued by Dr Ambrish Vijayakar sir and all his students.
“Scope of homoeopathy is the homoeopath himself; it is the homoeopath who fails and not homoeopathy”
he said .......

My father's life was a demonstration

of how to really 'Live Life'!
My father did not tell me how to live, he lived and let me watch him do it!
Everyone knows the Homoeopathic side and Homoeopathic journey of my father, but very few know the
personal shades of his life.
So, let me share those unique and personal side.
“Life is a beautiful journey and not a destination… keep moving and keep learning” were his oft repeated
golden words .
“Life is fight, when you love your life you fight and when you fight you survive”..
Each and every journey of my father’s life was inspiring ….
For my brother Tarang and me, we were fortunate that since our childhood we grew up with such inspiration
and strong ideologies … we were blessed to have a father like him!
His Qualities as a child (which we knew from our grandfather)
As a child my father was an extremely hard working and studious student. He would get up at 4am to study;
he excelled in school and college days.
He was passionate about reading which made him a voracious reader.
He was always an independent person, so he learnt to cook and manage his own things at an early age.
Collecting different subjects of books was always his passion.
His passion for reading continued and the volumes of books which he read was huge.
The collection of books now which he has is apart from medical background from Vastu, Astrology, Vedic
puranas, Quran, Bible, Quantum physics, Personal development and etcetera.
Exuberance
Sports was something which motivated him. He was a table tennis champion and an excellent cyclist.
Chess was his life and passion. We learnt the valuable moves in life from his game of chess.
The sportiness in him made him competitive and he kept challenging and competing with himself to do
better and better.
He always taught us if you must progress in life be a sporty person and learn to compete, do not play to
win or lose.
“Keep competing with your own self” … you can never lose”.
Creative Imagination
The creativeness in him brought the best mechanical and audio visual models during Ganapati festival. He
did this for more than 25 yrs and people used to queue up at our home to watch those mythological stories.
It was very difficult to have moments of 5 to 10 idols of mythological stories on one RPM motor, but
my father could do it ease. Also, there were no electronics sensors that point in time, but he created
sensors through his unique electronic and mechanical brain…. Simply amazing and inspiring.
Driving with Speed and Precision
He had a great passion for powerful and luxurious cars, he was a passionate driver.
Normally he clocked 150 kms with ease on highways. He used to drive at the time when roads were not fully

developed and there were no four lane highways, but he would reach Mahabaleshwar in flat 3.5 hours….
Which is superfast! (normal driving takes about 5 hours).
His suddenness and impulsive nature were something which kept us always alert, as he would just leave
from a small drive out in Mumbai in the evening and reach Aurangabad at night…… without any preparation.
We would then go to the shop and buy few clothes and tooth paste and toothbrush, before we reach any
new city of Maharashtra!
He was a person who believed in impromptu drives and outings. Our driver used to have one bag always
packed inside the car, as they knew they may land up in a hill station overnight.
Education always a priority
When my brother and I were in 9th and 10th std, our father, took off from his regular practice to teach us each
subject.
He woke us up early morning to revise and study further, the level of commitment is something beyond: the
way he made us learn through his unique diagrammatic explanation.
We still have the notes handwritten by him to explain us different physics, chemistry and bio portions; I can
never forget those diagrams which made us remember with ease.
Friend, Companion and Guide
More than a father he was a great friend to both of us. Every Sunday morning it would be a long drive and
picnics or tours to exhibitions, to stay updated with certain developments all over the world.
He made us aware where the world was heading and changing its dimensions. He always stayed ahead
of time.
it was just amazing to live through those wonderful memories, we learnt from my father the essence of life
and the way to live life….
Full of enthusiasm and full of energy and always moving ahead in life.
He just kept enjoying the journeys of life, and he we too enjoyed it with him.
Few days before he was ailing, he told me … “Ambrish I want to retire when people ask “WHY” rather than
''WHY NOT?''. This is exactly what happened! Now entire fraternity is saying why did he go so early, we
wanted to see him more and keep learning from him. He did exactly what he said he would!
We miss him every moment, and just don’t believe that he is no more, but I am sure he is on his onward
journey for a special purpose.
We pray to almight that may his soul rest in peace and may he attain moksha.
Baba, we love you and will miss you forever…

Vijayakar… my Friend
I saw him groom from a student to this mighty Lion that he is today in everyone’s heart.
The years were the 1970’s! My mother was his most favourite teacher and he, Rajan and Farokh - her
3 most favourite students. Her eye was impeccable – these 3 are the leading lights in our Homoeopathic
world today.
I remember each of them coming and going in my home viz. my mother’s home – like a temple of growth
and learning, (which is why I have preserved it for all these 26 years after her death) and the discussions
which ensured.
His enthusiasm was always unbounded and forceful – even in the short phase of his life when he did
polypharmacy…. He made her take the combination medicines for some skin ailment and gave it to her with
his own hand. Luckily it did not work and fortunately that phase passed off soon enough and then moved
on to the path of True Homoeopathy what he eventually coined as Predictive Homoeopathy. We grew along
different paths in Homeopathy. My mother had already handed me over to Dr ML Dhawale ‘Sir’ as he is
still today to all of us and the rest is history. But we loved each other and respected each other always.
Whether, we met or not but the love from those early days remains unabated. We shared much. He would
come for the SSMS seminars and call me for IIHP meets. The 10thAnniversary SSMS Seminar of NJH was
the epitome of sharing – when Vijayakar, Rajan and Farokh and me shared the stage at the greatest venue
of all times - the NCPA at Nariman point.
But what stood out always in Vijayakar, was his force, his enthusiasm, his conviction and his vision. Every
time he would get a new idea, a new path, he would drop in unannounced- to acquaint my mother with it
and share and discuss it with her. Many years later, I remember when he got the first copy of the complete
repertory which had to be seen with a magnifying glass, he dropped in at my Worli house to share that with
me!
Thank you Vijayakar (he was always Vijayakar never Prafull- though Rajan is always Rajan never Sankaran,
and Farokh always Farokh never Master).
Thank youfor being in my life and most importantly making my mother’s life so much richer and livelier.
There are going to be many today who will talk about various aspects of him mainly as an educator and
a Homoeopath, but for me he will always remain the naughty, mischievous and enthusiastic young man I
always knew- almost the brother I never had. Which is the reason I took the NJH platform to provide most
deserved tribute to Vijayakar. My forte has always been writing and that is what I do best. So we dedicate
this special NJH issue “Tribute to the Lion of Homoeopathy- Vijayakar” and throw this glorious issue open.
Thank you Ajit, Shobha & NJH team for making this come to Fruition.

Prafull...My Bestie... for

half a century!
We have spent almost a lifetime together…50 years exactly since 1971, when we entered the annals of
the Bombay Homoeopathic Medical college, the 6 of us were inseparable!......Thanks to our roll numbers.
But it went back more… as we both lived in Shivaji Park and our fathers too had studied together. And so
did our sons … same age different schools..So the bond was strong.
Prafull always loved people, Family and friends, always and everywhere, never liked to be alone.
Family ties were strong and he valued traditional methods but he was also modern enough to get along
well with his daughters –in-law.
His mother was a great influence on him as regards music, language and poetry.
He was very social, fun loving, witty and hard working. And enjoyed the full support of his wife- always
together in all his escapades. We 3-4 families had dozens of holidays together. They were the best years
of our life.
Every new idea in Homoeopathy he tried to find and explain it with a scientific base. Strong support for
the rubrics of the Repertory! Always ready to share his findings. Contradiction intolerant of...
We had a lot of arguments! Every morning the tring-tring of the telephone rang and my children knew as
soon as the bell rang that this has to be Praful uncle.
And we would hear the latest idea developed in his sleep and that would take up the form of heated
arguments …. Many a night were spent in discussions with my husband, who was a pathologist and they
would spend hours discussing pathology and immunity.
His passion for learning and his conviction led him to evolve in his chosen path.
Gradually came recognition … he received accolades in the Homoeopathy world,
IIHP. . . . Predictive Homœopathy . . .Hope for the Hopeless…these were the steps of his ladder to
becoming the LION....EINSTEIN... as you may
I shall miss you, my dear friend! You were like a member of my family too.
On reminiscing, one day he said, “It’s lonely at the top”....success is a mean friend and you lose the
people you love on the way!
Because as time passes, the people addressing you as “Tu” reduces and move further away but never
from your heart.
He left us a little too soon.
God speed your soul in peace, only long enough to be reborn a Homoeopath and continue your work
from wherever you were.

Analysis

Cyst is produced by the body to protect a part.

(Growth is defence to protect)
Small intestines esp Jejunum and Ileum represent
relation with brother or sister
The cyst could be formed only where a junction
was feeling fragile.
It was obvious that just before this developed, she
had a fight with her siblings (because it is on left
side)
This was found true. The fight was followed by the
brother threatening that he will not keep relations
with her. There was a strain on the junction. Hence
the cyst was formed.
INSECURITY - FEAR OF STRAINING OF
RELATIONS-
SHE WANTED HARMONY— Nat-mur but she was
chilly so Nat-carb 200 one dose.
