Doing my part in Missions!

 Introduction
Doing my part in missions has at least an obvious
implication, knowing what is my part?

 Do I know what my part is?

 Do I have a part in Missions?

The definition of mission is:

“An important assignment carried out for political,
religious, or commercial purposes, typically involving
travel.”

So mission is no more than the task that we have from

God to announce His virtues.

‘9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal

priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who
called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;’

1 Peter 2:9

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.

So, we have to mention the verse known as “The Great
Commission”

‘18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All

authority has been given to Me in heaven and on
earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching
them to observe all things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end
of the age.” Amen.’

Matthew 28:18-20

And of course, the version recorded in Mark:

‘15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to every creature.’

Mark 16:15

Missions is not a mystic issue, it’s only bring the “Good

News of Salvation” to the world. Tell them who is God
what He has done for us.

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.

 The call to Missions
Who has been called here to missions?

Some people think that they need a supernatural call.

Like the apostle Paul was called.

‘Now in the church that was at Antioch there were

certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon
who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen
who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch,
and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord and
fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me
Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have
called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed,
and laid hands on them, they sent them away.’

Acts 13:1-3

Amazing… isn’t it?

But, have everyone have been called like this? The
answer is simply. No. let’s see this:
‘4 Therefore those who were scattered went
everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went
down to [a]the city of Samaria and preached Christ
to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord
heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and
seeing the miracles which he did.’

Acts 8:4-6
If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.
Charles Thomas Studd – C.T. Studd
‘19 Now those who were scattered after the
persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far
as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the
word to no one but the Jews only. 20 But some of
them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who,
when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the
Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21 And the
hand of the Lord was with them, and a great
number believed and turned to the Lord. 22 Then
news of these things came to the ears of the church
in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as
far as Antioch. 23 When he came and had seen the
grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all
that with purpose of heart they should continue
with the Lord. 24 For he was a good man, full of the
Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people
were added to the Lord. 25 Then Barnabas departed
for Tarsus to seek Saul. 26 And when he had found
him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a
whole year they assembled with the church and
taught a great many people. And the disciples were
first called Christians in Antioch.’

Acts 11:19-26

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.

 What is my part then?
Despise that some people said that some people have to
pray, other to give, and some other to go, I believe that
going, giving and praying is for every single Christian.

Pray
‘37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly
is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore
pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers
into His harvest.”’

Matthew 9:37-38

‘18 praying always with all prayer and supplication

in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints — 19
and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that
I may open my mouth boldly to make known the
mystery of the gospel,’

Ephesians 6:18-19

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.
Charles Thomas Studd – C.T. Studd
Give
‘7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart,
not grudgingly or of [a]necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace
abound toward you, that you, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance
for every good work.’

2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Go
‘8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit
has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to
Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.”’

Acts 1:8

 In Jerusalén Willow Grove

 In toda Judea Pennsylvania
 In Samaria New Jersey
 to the end of the earth to the end of the earth

‘But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit

has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to
Me in Willow Grove, and in all Pennsylvania and
New Jersey, and to the end of the earth.”’

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.

 What is the Message? What do I’m going to say?
The message is not more to share what God has done in
our lives.

‘19 But Peter and John answered and said to them,

“Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to
you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot
but speak the things which we have seen and
heard.”’

Acts 4:19-20

‘28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way
into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a
Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could
this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city
and came to Him.’

John 4:28-30

 I huge task to finish

1 of 3 people in the world has never listen about Jesus
2 billion people around the world
1 billion Muslim

So, in your school, in your work, in your neighborhood,

or overseas, you have the responsibility to share the

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.
Charles Thomas Studd – C.T. Studd
Good News, to pray for those who are doing and to give
for those who go and work full time in the ministry.

 Conclusion
 What are you going to do?
 Are you doing your part?
 Are you willing to do it?

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.
