COVID-19 ADVISORY

FOR ALL LOCALLY STANDED INDIVIDUALS (LSIs) and RETURNING

OVERSEAS FILIPINOS (ROFs)

We would like to inform our LSIs and ROFs that the mandatory quarantine period
upon arrival in the City will be 14 days; thus, even if negative RT-PCR Test has been
released but the 14 day quarantine period is not yet over, there is a need to stay in the
quarantine period up to the 14th day. On the other hand, if the 14 day period has already
lapsed but the RT-PCR test is still pending, the quarantine period must be extended until test
results are out.

We understand the clamour of our LSIs and ROFs as they have suffered for too long
and would like to be with their families already; however, we would like to ask for
everyone’s patience for the delayed results we have been experiencing in the past few days.
Please know that we only have one referral testing center in the region that caters to all, the
EVRMC. It have been a public knowledge that the center has reported more than 1000
backlogs due to shortage of human resource.

Region VIII have considerable number of returning residents who turned RT-PCR
positive resulting to the surge of cases. On the part of the LGU, we cannot take the risk of
discharging our LSIs and ROFs without the RT-PCR Test Results for the welfare and
protection of the public.

Your utmost understanding to the situation is highly appreciated. Call for unity and
cooperation is a must so we will be able to heal as ONE.
