GUIDELINES ON THE USE OF MAASIN CITY BAYVIEW PARK AS THE

DESIGNATED AREA FOR EXTREME SPORTS IN THE CITY OF
MAASIN:

1. The Maasin City Bay View Park will be the official designated area for extreme
sports, i.e., In-line Skates, Skateboarding, Long Boarding and BMX in the city.
2. The use of the park shall be allowed on MONDAY to SUNDAY, from 5:00 PM –
8:00 PM for minors under MGCQ community quarantine classification or no
quarantine community classification and from 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM for adults under
MGCQ and GCQ community quarantine classification or no quarantine classification.
A special morning time for In-Line Skates shall also be allowed from 5:00 AM to
6:00 AM.
3. Closure of roads from the First Hump in front of the Liga ng mga Brgy. Bldg. up to
the Last Hump at the back of the BIR Bldg. shall be imposed during the
aforementioned schedules with supervision of at least two (2) Traffic Enforcers who
will be deployed in the area.
4. Skaters or Riders should wear protective gears at all times while engaged in the said
sport/activity. Being topless should be avoided during sessions.
5. Stake boarding, Long boarding and BMX shall only be allowed on the ROAD areas
of the park. Obstacles to be used for the said sport/activity shall also be placed only
on the road areas. Strictly no skateboarding, longboarding and BMX on the sidewalks
and bleachers.
6. Minimum Health Protocols shall be observed at all times.
7. Adult guardians should accompany minors/children.
8. Bystanders are advised to refrain from getting close to the Skaters/Riders while they
are engaged in the said sport/activity.
9. Strictly no smoking, drinking of liquors, littering and vandalism in the park.
10. Any persons found violating the guidelines shall be subject to penalties as per City
Ordinance No. 2020-143 also known as the “The Skateboarding Ordinance of the
City of Maasin”.
11. In case the plaza will be used during the aforementioned schedule for activities
authorized by the City Government, skaters should give way to such activity.
